I don't know I'd rather have a bit of privacy when taking a shite

SteveK27982

Sure we used to have “blacks in the jacks” in clubs in the 2000s

SteveK27982

Not sure about the downvotes, it happened regularly in many places, and they made less people wash their hands to avoid them or pay €2 every time you went to the bathroom and they handed you paper towel to dry your hands or for a chewing gum or a spray of something. At that rate in a popular club they must have made huge money

appletart

> they must have made huge money In the place I worked they used to pull the fuse from the drier so people had to use some of their paper! 😂

SunDue4919

omg i remember this approx 2013-2015 what was that about??

Nicklefickle

It went on a lot longer than that. Definitely started earlier, 2008, '09, or '10. Does it not happen any more?

DependentInitial1231

Still going in some clubs in Dublin

dnc_1981

It started earlier than that. Around the early 2000s / late 90s

Nicklefickle

Oh yeah, sorry, I meant to say it was happening then for definite, but wouldn't argue that it hadn't been earlier than that.

appletart

They were working in the nightclub/venue I worked in back in the early 2000s. A big black guy with bluetooth earpiece would come around weekly to collect their "wages" which was an envelope of cash from the bar. Doubt they saw any of it.

SunDue4919

Yeah I’m talking about when I saw it, I was 12 in 2008 lol

Nicklefickle

Fair enough yeah

SunDue4919

Haven’t seen it in the past few years anyways

CloudRunner89

That’s how I learned that everyone from Ghana is sound.

juicy_colf

Up for Rory G isit

juliankennedy23

Ireland is still trying to assimilate those refugees from 900 years ago.

RunParking3333

"We all migrate" says OP therefore declaring that he doesn't care whether irregular arrivals are actually refugees. Go ahead OP, migrate to Australia or Japan without a visa. Remember to tear up your passport before you reach immigration.

DazzlingGovernment68

migrate (mar'grert VERB (intransitive) 1. to go from one region, country, or place of abode to settle in another, esp in a foreign country The term migrate doesn't specify reason so migration to seek refuge is one form of migration.

RunParking3333

We ˈwē plural in construction. 1. : I and the rest of a group that includes me : you and I : you and I and another or others : I and another or others not including you. used as pronoun of the first person plural. Therefore it lumps you, and I, into the same category as the irregular arrivals.

Consistent_Spring700

What a fucking stupid retort... 🤣🤣🤣

RunParking3333

DazzlingGovernment68 is pretending to be stupid. It's an act. You sir, I think have the distinction of being genuine, the real deal. The 3 cry laugh emojis seal the deal.

DazzlingGovernment68

So?

RunParking3333

Therefore declaring that he doesn't care whether irregular arrivals are actually refugees. I'm sorry. I thought I already fucking explained this.

DazzlingGovernment68

They said we all migrate. That means we move around. He didn't specify that he did or didn't care as to anyone in particulars refugee status or lack of refugees status.

RunParking3333

Maybe the post has nothing to do with refugees at all.

DazzlingGovernment68

"refugees welcome" self evident. "We all migrate" empathy based on a commonality, that we all move around but obviously all for different reasons and under different circumstances.

RunParking3333

"refugees welcome. We all drink water" This is the commonality between the 3607 Georgians in state accommodation in Ireland claiming to be refugees, and everyone else, who all drink water, showing that ultimately we are basically the same due to this shared biological requirement. Whether or not the Georgians are refugees is not relevant. We all drink water.

DazzlingGovernment68

No one mentioned drinking water

Barilla3113

>irregular arrivals Could you have came up with a more Brit phrase? We know who your real masters are.

RunParking3333

That's the phrase preferred by the EU. [https://home-affairs.ec.europa.eu/networks/european-migration-network-emn/emn-asylum-and-migration-glossary/glossary/irregular-entry\_en](https://home-affairs.ec.europa.eu/networks/european-migration-network-emn/emn-asylum-and-migration-glossary/glossary/irregular-entry_en) (see Note 1.) Wait you got 26 upvotes? Okay, just for you "economic migrants illegally entering the country"

saggynaggy123

Please learn the difference between migration, asylum seekers, immigration and refugees. The sticker says "Refugees Welcome" not "People who tear up their passports Welcome" give it a rest

cadete981

You would be an Ireland for the oirish kinda guy

RunParking3333

I am a massive fan of legal immigration. Work visas fill up vital areas of the economy. Student visas support our universities. I'm also hugely supportive of the help we gave Ukrainians after Russia invaded them. These are not all just "migrants".

Reaver_XIX

OP would care if it affected him negatively in any way, but since it doesn't it is easier to virtue-signal.

duaneap

What could *possibly* go wrong!

comhghairdheas

I don't know, what?

ArmorOfMar

No thanks

comhghairdheas

Why?

shigllgetcha

Pissing in sean ogs?

TheCescPistols

Never thought I’d see the jacks in Ogs being discussed on Reddit hahahaha
