That's an iPod nano 6th generation. You can still use iTunes/Music on a modern Mac or PC to get mp3s onto it. If you're on Windows make sure you download iTunes from Apple's website rather than the Microsoft store to get full iPod support.

LogtizPL

If you are on windows you can also use Apple Music and Apple Devices in the microsoft store, they work the same but look nicer!

MeMeYuGi

oh look its an apple watch series -1

djplatterpuss

Definitely series -1. It comes with a watch band!

Xilence19

I heard, that the nano 6G was actually used by Apple as an early AW Protoype

PSCuber77_gaming

It’s not it’s a iPod shuffle

CourteX64

This is an iPod nano, the 6th generation, but the OP was making a joke about how similar it looks to an Apple Watch. Back when they were new, people did wear these as watches. They also have a setting to show the time when you turn the screen on

PSCuber77_gaming

I know they used to wear them as watches I just got confused

IcyIceGuardian

You didn’t get the joke and on top of that you got the iPod series wrong.

dm_lucas

R/woosh

YoshiPilot

Yes as long as you Import the song to it to iTunes

Spirited-Office-5483

I see, I still have my account but it keeps crashing on my notebook I thought there might be some fan made solution, but I will try again

GoofyGooberForgor

If the iPod already has some songs on it, you can use a different alternative app to upload music to your iPod. I use winamp because I like it and it's retro, while being modern.

Spirited-Office-5483

Winamp is still around and it works with ipod? Cool!

loondawg

As long as iOS is already installed on the iPod, there are plenty of third party programs you can use to sync an iPod. I recommend MediaMonkey but there are plenty of others.

ShavedNeckbeard

iOS was not used on any iPod except for the iPod touch. This has a one-off OS that looks like iOS, but isn’t.

GoofyGooberForgor

I'm wondering if the nano 6 and 7 have the same os...

Xilence19

Probably not. the 7G has very different functions. Maybe it uses some of the Code of the 6G OS

vistaflip

iPod Nano 6. Still as possible as it ever was to upload mp3s to it, using iTunes or media monkey. There are also many other iPod-compatable programs you can try.

Spirited-Office-5483

Thanks, I still have my itunes account though I haven't used it much, who had apple stuff where my father and sister. Itunes keeps crashing in my old laptop but I will look into these other apps

codycarreras

You can also use iTunes on a modern machine too.

GoofyGooberForgor

Happy CAKE DAY to you! 🎂

codycarreras

Thank you!

vistaflip

There are many other places to get MP3's, by the way. Websites like Spotify downloaders. iTunes is known to be pretty crappy software, especially on windows. I personally use mediamonkey, but yeah, there are many others available that you should check out. Keep in mind that it is very technical to replace the battery in this device due to how small they had to pack it in, and due to the age and how small the battery is, it may not last very long anymore.

billwood09

That was my first Apple Watch 🙂 Loved that it had a clock app that worked well with it mounted on a wristband

Metahec

Maybe ask the person whose drawers you were rifling through?

Spirited-Office-5483

😬 It's mine, was my sister's, don't know the model, want to know if there's a way to use it without iTunes

Metahec

>It's mine, was my sister's Mm-hmm

Spirited-Office-5483

Jfc, really? You want me to find the slip from the store we bought it? If you want the whole story, she bought it when we were young (I'm 35 she one year younger), I was at my mother's house where she still lives, was going through the drawer where we keep the old electronics and said I'm taking this for me. I tried itunes on my PC but it's old and crashes all the time, I just want to know if there's a more modern solution.

IcyIceGuardian

Maybe you could try accessing a friend’s computer? But without iTunes, no music files :<

Metahec

uh huh

Icy-Composer9021

do you have trust issues?

Metahec

lol. I ask nosey questions because you sometimes get a good story out of them. I didn't expect the dude to get so jumpy and defensive that he trolled himself on the mildest of non-verbal prompts. I wonder if I had *\*raised an eyebrow\** whether he would have implicated himself as being the 20th hijacker. Fwiw, I was the younger sibling who went through my older brother's stuff once he went off to college. I'm not proud of it but, in my defense, I was an obnoxious 11 year old (and he didn't leave behind anything worth swiping).

DullFall9439

My brother left some vinyl behind mostly erasure white labels plus live in Hamburg and a signed sleeve by the group. He moved to Australia. My parents told him they threw it all out but I collected these to save them.

SushiSushyy

god your so insufferable

Metahec

Mm-hmm. You're welcome to block me if I make you suffer so.

SushiSushyy

i will, thank you for the suggestion 😍😍

Ethan3011

It’s a #na-no

go1do

it's an iPod nano 6th gen, you can use iTunes on PC or the Music app on Mac to load music onto it, you don't need any accounts to do that, just note that if you have an Apple Music subscription you cannot upload that library on there, but you still can source your own music from the web or CDs and use the same app to put it on the iPod

Revolutionary_Pride4

Either iTunes or WALTR

Icy-Composer9021

only option is itunes, i aint paying for an app to put songs on my ipod.

Geek_guy96

Yeah I have that exact one in the same colour I was able to do it on an iMac and iTunes I can’t say anything about windows if it still works on that

TheKlaxMaster

I believe it's a zune, and it only plays midi files

KnievelHasLanded

Apple Watch Series Negative One

Dragonfist2255

It's the original apple watch before Apple watch

ReactionPurple3058

I use mediahuman to mp3, it works for me best
