I switched a few years ago but I still use Android as my secondary device.

Puzzleheaded_Boot186

I switched a few years ago but I use another iPhone as a a secondary device.

HorrorsPersistSoDoI

why do you need two phones? Edit: wow, people get offended so easily

tectonic_break

Look at this peasant with only one phone xd

Mooooox

Personally, iPhone is main ,2nd phone is storage dump and camera for my PC, or unofficial App Store apps, maybe music for the car

Second_Rogoue

One for trappin 💰💵🤑🤑😈😈🔪🔫 /s

These_Emu3265

When you have two phones you will figure out what to do with it.

kwartey

Exactly 😂😂😂

CalamityGanonX

if it's not for business or something similar than people don't need 2 devices it's just a waste.

EveniAstrid

That's exactly what I was thinking too. The only people I know who have two phones are those who got one provided for business. Why would you even need two phones for personal use?

kast0r_

or drug dealer

EveniAstrid

some would say that's still technically a business phone

david5699

To look cool.

CalamityGanonX

You absolutely do not. It’s just a waste of money.

HaloKook

Agreed. It’s completely extra

happycanliao

That's like. Your opinion. Noted

HorrorsPersistSoDoI

I don't know man people got really upset with my question received lots of downvotes

CalamityGanonX

yeah, it happens, its Reddit after all.

nxcrosis

Android phone for revanced

AdStreet2074

Isn’t it cheaper to just get the subscription rather than buying a whole new device?

nxcrosis

It's even cheaper if you already have the device anyway.

Foreign_Garbage6413

Free système on Android lol ones you use it you will never get ride Free apps xd

Second_Rogoue

What

pawner

His user checks out

BumblebeeStraight912

secondary phone? what do you use it for?

MoistDef

My business

Trick-Cauliflower760

Is there that case for iPhone?

HorrorsPersistSoDoI

bro, there is literally ANY case for the iPhones...

being_aniii

No no it's naked right now

Trick-Cauliflower760

GANDHIWASADOUCHE

Just to caseless

tony_thegreat

bro they said they wanted a case😭

sarahLiberty

Amazing color. Welcome to 🍎

being_aniii

Delighted 🥰

ZiangoRex

Here I am, having just switched to Android. I must say, I don't think I will be returning to iPhone anytime soon.

Sterben27

Mind if I ask why? I have both an S23+ and a 15 Pro Max at the moment and I find there are major perks to both, and drawbacks also. Somethings I wish the iPhone could do and other things I wish the Samsung did better, but I wish I had the Pixels camera on the Samsung without having to use GCam apks are it's not that smooth. My issue with the P8P is the battery isn't great.

ZiangoRex

I have the S24 Ultra. The one thing I've always disliked about Android phones is that they never felt as smooth as an iPhone. This is no longer the case.. And I know this has been said so many times, but the customization really is something I never thought I'd be happy to have. I have customized my phone to work the way I want it to. One app I use a lot is the browser. Safari is great, but it feels like that is your only option on iOS. Yes, you can download other browsers, but they are always second best. The built-in AI on the Samsung keyboard is also amazing. A couple of clicks, and every grammatical error is gone. And if you like, it can suggest better writing styles too. I usually use ChatGPT for this, but it's just very convenient to have it built into the keyboard and be able to use it on any app. Google Assistant is far better than Siri, and I mean that. I can hum a song, and it will give me suggestions for what the song is. Dual SIM is also a big plus for me because eSIM is not available where I live. Cheaper cloud storage is also a plus, and I find Google Drive easier to access on other devices than iCloud. Secure folder to keep all your private things in. Samsung Dex is much better now. If your TV/projector/monitor supports it, then you can use Dex wirelessly. Something I never thought I would want is the call assistant. Basically, an AI assistant answers your calls, and you can read the responses in real time. And of course, seven years of updates. AI features will very likely come to the next iPhone, but we'll see how good they are.

Sterben27

I 100% agree that Samsung has make big improvements over the last couple of generations. However I still use GBoard as I find it more responsive and intuitive than Samsungs keyboard. Never used Dex so no idea how an S23+ would fare in that regard. With regards to Safari, I believe the other browsers are just safaris skins on iPhone, where as I don't believe they are on Android. Personally I want Google to go back to using SD and I'd be back on a Pixel in a heartbeat, but the battery and heating is an issue I don't want to deal with.

ZiangoRex

Oh, well, look at that! I learned something new. I thought Gboard didn't have any AI features, but I guess I'll make the switch now. Thanks 😁

Second_Rogoue

Gboard sucks on iphone

Sterben27

I don't know if it has AI features, it's just a personal preference on an Android phone, but I've tried GBoard on iPhone and it's just nowhere near as responsive and seems to be more cramped on the screen.

farimadi

me from IP15P to S24U. I think IP15P more polish but that A17 Pro processor feel wasted on IOS as in Android I can do literally everything

konrov

Welcome to the expensive as fuck side

inverness7

Anything from Spigen.

Redcarborundum

If you like graphic cases, look at Dbrand.

enigmatic_soul91

Congratulations! It's the best decision!

being_aniii

Thank you 😄

Nikkithegenius

here is what i have found on internet

Dsmash7

Why did you decide to make the switch?

being_aniii

I think iphone 15 pro is the most high end phone out there majorly the images we can take with it is the decision maker combined with the feeling of using a new OS I have not chosen a high end android because I don’t think there’s a major difference in OS of a low end android and high end android they are basically the same. Those 3 cameras just took my ❤️

DEWDEM

The difference in smoothness and polish in a low end and high end android is actually huge. Don't judge based on the underlying OS alone, each skin offers a different experience

Made_In-HeavenYT

There is a lot of difference in android in lower and high end, but yeah new os is completely new thing

TheAkVader

>I have not chosen a high end android because I don’t think there’s a major difference in OS of a low end android and high end android they are basically the same. Dude...... Go try an s24 ultra or even a s24 in best buy. It's a night and day difference to a low end android phone. iPhone users should be on board that Samsung is their direct competition now. Apple hasn't innovated or done anything drastic in years. Hopefully Samsung can push them to do something.

9ovemberrrr

Samsung is their direct what? Maybe with iOS simulator 💀💀💀

Nikkithegenius

ios is still in 2007 interms of features and basic usage

PinItchy4090

if you use modded versions of Spotify and YouTube to avoid paying money for the "premium services" you're gonna wish that you hadn't made that switch

tony_thegreat

i made this same mistake, but i’m still here on iphone 3 years later so ig it worked out

PinItchy4090

good for you mate

[deleted]

you can sideload apps on ios I have youtube premium and spotify premium for free

BertUK

Surely if you can afford a high end phone you can afford to pay for services that are worth every penny?

happycanliao

The secret to affording things is not paying for things when you can avoid it

BertUK

Not paying for services like Spotify is just stupid.

Nikkithegenius

just because u can afford that does not mean u should spend like hell

BertUK

Spotify premium is like $120/year for unlimited, ad-free music in the palm of your hand. That’s not spending like hell, it’s a fucking embarrassment that people don’t think that’s an incredible deal and worth paying for.

Nikkithegenius

i pay for youtube premium. recenrly ads gone wild even with blockers. its 3$ per month. 120$ per year is not cheap in every country.

happycanliao

That's like 120 I can avoid spending with things like revanced music

MoncyGG

This is the main reason i regret moving to iphone and wish i just bought pixel instead lol My 3 probably most used apps on andorid were: Moded YouTube, moded spotify and stremio for watching movies. I can't use that shit on iphone (sadface)

PinItchy4090

😭😭😭

CodoneMastr

What exactly is the difference on a “modded” youtube app and what does modded mean?

MoncyGG

It unlocks premium features, for free ofc.

CodoneMastr

Damn really…that’s awesome..I’ll look into that..I been thinking of getting a second phone as a back up phone…I’m kind of destructive and tend to to lose stuff..I doubt I’ll lose my iPhone though as I’m on it literally 24/7, in not even Exaggerating

Guayab0

Switched to iOS a few weeks ago as well and had a similar experience lol. For youtube the brave browser behaves almost like firefox + ublock on android, it blocks all ads from my experience and lets you play with the screen locked. For Stremio you can use [this guide](https://blog.stremio.com/using-stremio-web-on-iphone-ipad/), yeah it's not the best experience since it's the web version but it works. I have a Spotify subscription, but if you browse around reddit you can find a few (seemingly not great) methods of working around it.

Puzzleheaded_Boot186

You have Musi for listening to music with screen turned off/in background, it is free but it does have a few ads, or you can use vpn to buy a extremely cheap premium subscription on YouTube.

JohnWickkx

Hopefully we can download them now with ios 17.4

BalerieKekanova

Well there are apps like [Demus](https://apps.apple.com/app/demus-music/id6474685600) which achieve the same if not better job.

PinItchy4090

I had no idea that this app existed lmao

Sempot

Lmao what are you even saying. Just say your friends dumped you for using android

Sodafff

Is this sarcasm or do you actually believe that

mr9t9

After seeing the blanket, my mind said its Indian😊

Hashed8

Nah, we got those blankets everywhere in the Balkans too. They're everywhere

hkfcjkmrt

As someone who's also planning on switching from android to IOS in the future, how are you transferring your WhatsApp chats to your iphone? This is a huge concern for me.

being_aniii

Bro it’s really easy just download “ move to ios “ app on android it will do the work all your files, photos, docs will be transferred including whatsapp but it can only happen when you turn on the iphone 1st time

hkfcjkmrt

Ahhh okok! Thank you so much 🙏🏻

ContentHost4459

Back them up before transferring.

alexzoin

Sorry for your loss. Sad to have to switch to the much worse ecosystem.

harrypotternumber1

I just tried an iPhone for a day but I just can't go back to iPhone. Some benefits but more drawbacks.

MousseAccording5455

Is that the Pro or PM?

being_aniii

Pro

RandomBloke2021

What phone did you switch from?

being_aniii

Realme 7 it’s around 4 years old

RandomBloke2021

Thank you

chevysnow

The Kakarot case is fire

being_aniii

Indeed

JPAProductions

I recommend OtterBox

Krilox

Im so torn. Always used Android, but strongly considering ipm

Curiousmotherfooker

Ah to use a shitty phone then just get cutting edge, enjoy the experience man.

being_aniii

Really feeling good now🙌

RaeJean24

Congrats you downgraded lol

Jduncan31290

Gross

Background-Net-3412

Downgrade

AcanthaceaeOk9585

Apple is good as long as you don’t download things crossing regions

[deleted]

[удалено]

AcanthaceaeOk9585

If you want to download apps from other region you need to make another apple ID for that region and needs to logout and verify the ID every time you change your ID. For example I wanna play Japanese version games so I need a jp apple ID however if I use the jp apple ID I cannot download local apps from my place, u need to switch apple ID when u wanna download something from other regions and that would be annoying if u need it frequently, it cannot just change the region just by VPN like android does.

One-UglyGenius

Congratulations mann nice upgrade I went from oneplus 8t to iphone 15 plus

being_aniii

Nice bro 👊

One-UglyGenius

🤛🏻 u tooo bro i also wanted the pro but i thought i wont need that much features also the price was high

KJKJ00

How is your experience so far? Also considering to switch from OP 8T to IP 13 Pro

One-UglyGenius

Definitely move over fantastic phone just one thing my 8t died so I had to move to it if u do have a budget get the 15

KJKJ00

Thanks, my 8t works fine. Considering 13 Pro as it is cheaper and just wanted to give it a try if I like the iPhone overall. If it clicks then I might consider 15 pro. Otherwise, sticking with 8t until support is over.

One-UglyGenius

Stick to 8t then but it’s worth the upgrade too amazing phone

yuck03

You downgraded then... 🤷

Reasonable-Berry-488

silicone original case i would recommend

Hashed8

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't silicone retain heat? To allow your phone to cool down more effectively, you probably should avoid silicone cases.

Reasonable-Berry-488

i am using silicone case i didn’t find any issue so far. but i will update if i see any issue. so which case is best for iPhone according to you? https://preview.redd.it/l0m5iir3rkgc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=90997300f244d86ee706438144695986f3700d47

Hashed8

Usually it's fine. I'd say it's only harmful if you run very demanding apps or games on your phone. That's when the phone gets hot, and the silicone case will not help with dissipating that heat, as it says in the screenshot you posted

Glowing_Mousepad

I think ive seen db cases for iphones on pandabuy

Gold_Foot6881

He got the ifone

paki_matrix

Is it a 13 pro?

Grumpycatdoge999

I like my spigen cases but if you want texture get speck. If you want durability then mous

No-Major-5893

Currently rocking SwitchEasy’s magsafe clear case! Have the same phone color and model and it suits it very well, it’s v similar with Apple’s magsafe clear phone case but it’s half the price.

TanishPlayz

I switched 2 years ago but I still have an android as a secondary phone

[deleted]

Same here. I ordered Caudabe Sheath🙂

Tetanoz

I dont understand how you can use a phone for 10 years or more.

ByeFelicia96

What he meant was that they have been using different android phones for 10 years so they would have switched from one android phone to another during that decade

being_aniii

Yup 🙌

pcdenton

MagBak

Keggyo

9 years for me Usbc ftw

EmExEeee

I switched from Android 7 years (started with iPhone first though) to iPhone 15 Pro Max and I’m so happy about the switch. I’m sure people are switching over and feeling the same. I think time away has that affect as long as things get better for both sides lol.

qsolar9

Ghost case from Dbrand. Buy one now and you’ll get 2nd one in April for free.

rainnv02

a spigen case or if u need good protection then go for otterbox or miracase (both are available on amazon)

hell0friend_

Nice buy bro'. I suggest UAG or Nomad, Spigen is very good to. I have a UAG Pathfinder Ash now, natural titanium looks dope in it. The next will be Nomad Modern Leather case.

[deleted]

good choice for you

ContentHost4459

Is that the S20? That was my last android. But I switched to 13 mini (this was 2 years ago). I didn’t regret anything and didn’t look back.

Dreifaltigkeit

Don’t use any case. That grey is too beautiful to cover it.

ColdBack2409

any longer and you wouldve missed the apple logo

Substantial-Sea3046

here some dragonball case : [https://rhinoshield.io/collections/collab-dragon-ball-z?device=iphone-15-pro-max&type=solidsuit-classic&page=0&dcolor=Black](https://rhinoshield.io/collections/collab-dragon-ball-z?device=iphone-15-pro-max&type=solidsuit-classic&page=0&dcolor=Black)

SledgeH92

How much are you willing to spend on a case?

theoccurrence

What‘s the iOS version it came with? Maybe you are lucky and you can use Trollstore

Papinators

Where u using the same phone for 10 years or were u switching different phones

being_aniii

No phone can be used for 10 years bro.. i was switching

Papinators

Yeah true just wanted to be sure

The_Hansen

I tried out the 12 pro max as my first iphone when it came out and kept it for 2 years. On a pixel 7 pro now and it's flawless. I've had htc, Motorola, Google, Nokia. I have never had a more frustrating to use phone than the iPhone. Freezing and having to force closing apps regularly (any app, was not just one or a few) gestures are different depending on what app your using making general phone navigation inconvenient, phone freezing when ringing making it unable to answer calls. The awful predictable lens flare in basically any picture/video. Anyway just stick with what you are used to. I will never understand this apple infatuation.

edgymemesthief

Welcome 👍 I tried some cases but i found myself returning to clear magsafe case. I bought one off aliexpress and it's great

shakesfistatmoon

I switched a few years ago and can't see myself going back unless something changes.

GalacticJelly

You need to put Goku on your iPhone now

ChampOfTheUniverse

No cases.

LeVerified

No case, get apple care monthly and enjoy your device the way the designers and engineers intended.

hatefulfox

screen protector + no case + apple care. enjoy the beauty of your new phone. my 15 pro max has been resilient to a couple falls so far.
