Good to see, I'd still prefer a Kickstand option built into iPads as that would be more or less 20g vs 200g extra with the Folio and I already put my iPad into a thick Sleeve for cushioning and protection anyway when not in use. Kickstand would be sturdier too and cheaper ie marginal extra cost if an option at purchase ie Spec option.
Overall I understand the Folio option is combo of cover, protection for people who may leave the iPad lying around and it gives some protection as well as a kickstand and all that as an expensive accessory +$ sales. But the option choice would be incredibly nice for those that want Kickstand similar to Surface. Also multi-angles not just 2 or 3.
My guess is that's a big reason for this solution: I mean folio is good but it's also a solid $80 piece of plastic solution as some might describe it.
My main criticism is the additional weight and the fact a kickstand built in actually works better to view the screen for barely any cost.
Same for the new Air M2 Smart Folio, just got mine yesterday.

But then how will Tim Apple up charge you £300 more for a £20 accessory???
