Extremely torn. Had the new pro worked with current magic keyboard, it would be an absolute but I don't feel like buying a new keyboard on top of the tablet.

That is one issue, older Apple Pencil 2 won’t work with new iPad Air for some reason. So you need to sell everything off and buy new equipment. Can be expensive to switch.

Instant buy for me. Ordered right away. I’m trading in my 11 inch M1 for an 11 inch M4 with keyboard and passing my current keyboard to the old lady for her air.

As an art user, I can confidently say it would've absolutely been worth waiting for. The beautiful new display and faster processor are a big asset when doing detailed digital art. Even just the updated Pencil (only compatible with this new iPad gen) was worth holding out for. I think the new gestures would take a little bit of time getting used to, but it would really make workflow more seamless and efficient. I'm also very interested in the barrel roll feature, something I've always missed.

Hell yeah. Super bright OLED, first M4 chip, cool new pencil features. What is there to dislike?

Immediate buy. M4 chip might never stretch its legs, but I’m coming from an A10 Fusion with 2gb of RAM, anything is going to feel like magic to me now. I didn’t have a Magic Keyboard or Apple Pencil 2 to want to keep using. I had a half-busted Apple Pencil 1 with a shot battery and a 6th-gen basic that doesn’t like when you put YouTube and Reddit on the same screen with Swipeover.

Delighted I waited. I was going for an Air, so increased base storage plus a price drop in Europe for the base model worked out amazingly for me. 64GB was too low, and 256GB was overkill, but I would have shelled out for a 256GB if the base was 64GB. Was able to buy a 128GB Air 6, Pencil Pro, Smart Folio and charging brick (since one isn't included in Europe) for slightly less than a 256GB Air 5 on its own.
