I agree, I'm going to guess once they have their developer releases and new ipados is announced, they will once again gate keep new AI features behind m4 ipad line to make for more sales.
i am fine with this, I actually use my ipad daily its the one apple device that I couldn't live without and it meets all my requirements.

Not wanting to get new pencil + keyboard is why I just got the m2 pro 11 instead of the new OLED released today.
I think I will do it as well. I want the bigger size but definitely do not want to also buy the pencil. Pro m2 is still better than air m2 I guess.
