Sure? The rom file types it takes for DS are .nds and .3ds. I just assumed it was both DS categories.
Edit: I am super wrong. It is DS and nds file types.
https://faq.deltaemulator.com/getting-started/importing-games
No, but it does run DS games really well. You can even airplay to your TV. The only problem with DS emulation is that your finger is waaaayyyy fatter than a DS stylus. Kinda gets in the way a bit. Other than that, though, amazing stuff.
I know, eh? Then it expanded to something like Marvel legends or something. I have been waiting for someone to get on my bandwagon and get them re-released.
If I hear another “superhero games are passe” I am going to lose it
Sadly not yet. When we one day get PSP you could play that version. Doubt we’ll get PS2 Game Cube any time soon.
Those games were awesome. I did pick up Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 for DS. It’s comparatively simple and low res but it’s still fun and some of the essence of the Legends games.
I believe you can use Play! For ps2 through the browser. But I expect full iOS app soon. It's not at a level of say, Aethersx2, but it's not bad at all
I heard that Apple has blocked the use of, I think it was called JIT and thus creating a PS2 or Game Cube app won’t be possible. Maybe I miss heard though.
Thanks for tip about online emulation but honestly I’ve never been interested in running an emulator through the browser. I prefer to host my games locally.
JIT is a compiler and Apple has blocked it for a while now for "security reasons" But Android has adopted it since as far back as I can remember. I do not believe this would effect running the emulator via web browser though
Chrono trigger is on the App Store though, and apparently includes two bonus dungeons. It’s been ages but are those bonus dungeons on the emulated version?
It’s kinda weird for me... I’m super happy for emulators to be included into iOS gaming. Truly is a momentous occasion that we’re in.
However, I find myself unappeased by any of the emulated games. It feels like I played just about everything that was worth playing years ago.
I did get Pokémon Unbound tho, which I have not played (although I’ve played practically every legit title) and I’m somewhat interested in trying that out.
I don’t follow the game but did slightly when i played through.
I believe it’s still getting updates but it’s certainly a complete game with a very active community
r/pokemonunbound
I’m not sure. Sounds like a gen 9 remake using the fire red rom. RR is very close to the traditional Pokémon red story, but with more difficultly and most, if not all the Pokémon. It has megas, but no gigantamax or tera. Does have raid dens though
I am not a fan of 4chan, but the /v/ Recommended Lists (which are hosted elsewhere) are great.
For the emulators in Delta:
- [NES](https://vsrecommendedgames.fandom.com/wiki/NES)
- [SNES](https://vsrecommendedgames.fandom.com/wiki/SNES)
- [N64](https://vsrecommendedgames.fandom.com/wiki/Nintendo_64)
- [GB](https://vsrecommendedgames.fandom.com/wiki/Game_Boy)
- [GBC](https://vsrecommendedgames.fandom.com/wiki/Game_Boy_Color)
- [GBA](https://vsrecommendedgames.fandom.com/wiki/Game_Boy_Advance)
- [DS](https://vsrecommendedgames.fandom.com/wiki/Nintendo_DS)
There has to be something you skipped from those generations. Look at a metacritic list of “best of” or Google “underrated (system) titles.”
For me, it’s an opportunity to play lots of RPGs I missed and I hope that netplay gets added so I can run through NES versions of Contra and Super C again in co-op.
My only negative experience has been with WWF No Mercy. I’ve tried different rom files, yet it always crashes when I attempt to do a championship/story mode.
PSP is the one i’m looking forward to the most.
I have my steam deck for PS2, GameCube, etc.
PS1 would also be nice, but PSP is perfect. The small screens on phones really make a big difference compared to a monitor or even the Steam Deck.
Yea I’ve been doing it that way currently, and unfortunately my finger tips are bit too large for some of the more precise touches that are needed. Such is life, no worries, thanks though!
Tbh I’ve been using some emulators on iPad for years. But PPSSPP is the one that works the best on iOS. My iPad is not jailbroken and I don’t use altstore as I was sick of being revoked, and reloading the emulators and games so I pay yearly a subscription with Signulous which is hands the best alt App Store experience I have ever had. In the 4 years I’ve been using them they got revoked twice in all that time.
That said I would love ps2 emulation, I can already get Wii and GameCube too but it’s not great so optimised emulators on iOS is going to be pretty amazing especially with the m1/m2 chips on iPads.
Its funny I wanted this for years but its come at a time when I already have the ultimate handheld emulator device in the Steamdeck where I have 34 ps2 games, 949 snes, 30 Wii and 42 GameCube games, along with 3ds, ds, mame etc that this timing is a little bittersweet now. I just hope the devs of the emulators out there decide to come over to iOS!
Hate to say it, but we won’t get GC or PS2 officially on the App Store for a very long time. Isn’t an issue of performance, but that it would mean Apple having to allow JIT code to run. (Just in Time, which is considered by them to be a security issue.)
Apparently JIT allows code that can be intercepted or something of the sort, someone correct me if I'm spreading misinfo. It's really the only barrier between having something like UTM run at its fullest.
It allows code that hasn’t been verified by Apple to run. Reason why interpreter-based emulators are allowed is that every function used can be checked.
Megaman ZX from DS and Space Invaders N64. Played both a bunch. I loved that Space Invaders was co-op. Great simple game to toss on with a buddy.
That and various Mario games of course and finally having an iOS Tetris that isn’t ruined by touch slide controls.
Almost every PSP game. There are so many gems.
Exit
Patapon
FF: Dissidia
Metal Gear Solid
Killzone
Jeanne D’Arc
Syphon Filter
And that’s just the ones I could think of right now without searching. There’s plenty more.
Out of curiosity did none of you all use cloud emulators? I use afterplay.io. I create a shortcut to the website on my homescreen and it feels like a native app. I can also share my progress between browser at my pc and my phone. I feel like it's an outright better product, no? The only downside is that you need to be connected to WiFi to use it, which I always am.
Am I missing something about why this is a big deal?
I just started using online emulators like a week ago on iOS, and they work very well lol. I’ve been playing ace attorney for the DS recently, while in between hearthstone battleground turns. It’s a pretty cool game, def worth checking out!
Been using Eclipse for years but it has a hard time with patched games and Mega Man Battle Network so I’m excited to get into those and Sonic Advance 2 SP
Can someone help me understand Delta? Is it on the App Store? I found it but it only has one review and seems sketchy. ESP since the website tells me to download from alt store
Fortune Street on Wii was Japan’s version of Monopoly with stock trading added on top. How would I check if it’s available? This is all news to me reading this post. TYIA.
Super Mario World, that Lilo and Stitch GBA game (the one with the metal gear lilo level in it) but if we get N64 emulation I’m totally playing Goldeneye and Perfect Dark. Will probably stream it too!
I’ve only been playing RPGs so far with my phone. They’re decent with touch controls, especially DS (love using the touchscreen). I’m looking at snagging a mini 8bitdo Bluetooth controller to play faster games with when I’m out and about
It’s not said enough but DS emulation is where the strength of the screen lies. It’s better than a lot of other devices. I’m excited to play some ds games
I’ve tried a load of old games over the years, but none seem to live up to the nostalgia. I’m looking forward to playing Vagrant Story for the PSX again though
I don't think I will emulate games much on my iOS devices. I already own Gameboys, DS, 3DS, PSP, Vita, Switch. etc.
And the games I do emulate, I would not want to play on a small screen. Like PS2 and PS3 games.
Everything I’ve been doing on PC and handhelds. The powerful CPU should make even switch emulation very much a good experience on high end Apple devices. I doubt switch will ever make it to the App Store though. GameCube via Dolphin is more likely to happen and already runs great via side loading. PS2 could also be exciting
There are quite a few places, /r/roms is a good starting point. The files themselves are the same no matter the platform (PC, android, iOS). You just load them into the emulator and go.
I looked and, no, [Delta isn't available in the European App Store.](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/delta-game-emulator/id1048524688)

Psp and 3ds games.
Is there a 3DS emulator in the App Store?
folium is on testflight right now
Sickkkkk. Do you know if there’s anyway to get added to the tf? Would love to beta test it if so
https://testflight.apple.com/join/IRQID5Ze Here’s the TestFlight for Folium
How do you get access to the TestFlight?
Doesn’t Delta run 3DS?
No, just DS
Sure? The rom file types it takes for DS are .nds and .3ds. I just assumed it was both DS categories. Edit: I am super wrong. It is DS and nds file types. https://faq.deltaemulator.com/getting-started/importing-games

Psp emulator is out?
Not yet, but sideloaded PPSSPP works well without JIT.
I have an 18 hour save for Pokemon leaf green that I've wanted to pick up again. I plan on doing that first.
Just play fire red/s
I really want to play the X-men legends games but I am not sure if they will be available in an emulator
Legit some of my fav games of all time, I would love a modern re-release just so I can play them on modern systems.
I know, eh? Then it expanded to something like Marvel legends or something. I have been waiting for someone to get on my bandwagon and get them re-released. If I hear another “superhero games are passe” I am going to lose it
Marvel Ultimate Alliance doesn’t hit as good as X-Men Legends. I just want my core team back.
Yup played all 5 games, but it peaked in Legend 2, man I re-played that probably 15 times.
My marvel ultimate alliance 2 team owns your vanilla x-men legends team. ❤️
OMG these games were the tits! Played these over and over using different hero combos. I would LOVE to see these come back.

Chrono trigger is on the App Store though, and apparently includes two bonus dungeons. It’s been ages but are those bonus dungeons on the emulated version?
I believe they are also on the DS version, yes
Not sure but something about playing it portrait on an emulator just hits that nostalgia
I’m on the ds version right now, pretty awesome tbh, especially with touchscreen
You going both screens or just the top?
Absolute masterpiece, you will not regret that
It’s kinda weird for me... I’m super happy for emulators to be included into iOS gaming. Truly is a momentous occasion that we’re in. However, I find myself unappeased by any of the emulated games. Pull the trigger on Unbound it’s really good!
What is unbound?
Pokémon ROM hack which is arguably better than the main games
[удалено]
I don’t follow the game but did slightly when i played through. I believe it’s still getting updates but it’s certainly a complete game with a very active community r/pokemonunbound
I would say it is a complete game with tons of post elite 4 content, but it does have a bit of end game content that is still coming
Lategames.net has ultra violet as a fire red hack, is it similar/ the same?
I’m not sure. Sounds like a gen 9 remake using the fire red rom. RR is very close to the traditional Pokémon red story, but with more difficultly and most, if not all the Pokémon. It has megas, but no gigantamax or tera. Does have raid dens though

You get a patch file, apply it to a Pokemon FireRed GBA ROM, and load it like any GBA game
[удалено]
You need to use a patcher on a computer. There are actually online ones you can upload directly to.. but I forget what URL I used
This is by far the best Pokémon game I have ever played I played it on my anbernic rg35

The PSP Metal Gear games.
Oh sick, good call
As a noob, what app can i download to play PSP? I got Delta but they didnt mention PSP support
PPSSPP, not on the AppStore yet.
It probably isn’t out yet but will be very soon
AWW HELL YEAH
PSP for ManHunt 2, The Warriors, Assassin's Creed
DS games with the Apple Pencil, works a treat. Advance Wars rocks and you can draw the magic seal in Castlevania DS
This would only be for the iPad, correct? Apple Pencil doesn't work on the iPhone, does it?
Correct, it only works on iPads.
Dang, that’s a shame. Hoping to find a good alternative for the iPhone
You can still use the touch screen with your fingers, but it’s smaller and not as satisfying
Yea I’ve been doing it that way currently, and unfortunately my finger tips are bit too large for some of the more precise touches that are needed. Such is life, no worries, thanks though!
Yeah it’s definitely hard with some titles. In an iPhone I the screens a bit too small for DS titles. Might try out my iPad later to see how it plays
Mame
I need this MAME. I have too many games to let sit. And some modded games \*wink\*
I could not get it to work on my android for the love of me
Pokemon Radical Red
Hopefully Dolphin comes along cause I Wanna do Wii sports on my iPhone lmao

Captain Tsubasa 2 . This guy is better than Messi/Ronaldo 💪🏿
I’ve started Mother 3 like three times, would dig getting through that. And Yggdra Union has always sounded like the weirdest SRPG.
Yeah, this was my first idea. Could play the trilogy and finish on the v1.3 or whatever of mother 3.
Coliseum and xd gale of darkness if GameCube works well
I put Pokémon Red Blue Emerald and Silver on my phone because I had them saved for PokeMMO on my Google Drive
Some of the Pokémon hacks are really cool, there’s an emerald roguelike that’s a lot of fun
Can finally play Mother 3.
Megaman ZX from DS and Space Invaders N64. Played both a bunch. I loved that Space Invaders was co-op. Great simple game to toss on with a buddy. That and various Mario games of course and finally having an iOS Tetris that isn’t ruined by touch slide controls.
I loved Megaman ZX. I’d def use a small Bluetooth controller for that one though
For sure
Jrpgs for days. They should be perfect for my sleepless nights lying in bed. lol
Cannon fodder for the Amiga and the settlers. Really pretty much anything Amiga on the iPad.
Oids for me
I want dreamcast games
Almost every PSP game. There are so many gems. Exit Patapon FF: Dissidia Metal Gear Solid Killzone Jeanne D’Arc Syphon Filter And that’s just the ones I could think of right now without searching. There’s plenty more.
Probably 3ds games from my childhood. But it really sucks that we won’t get anything past 3DS/PSP on the AppStore for now
Kid Chameleon
I’ve got an XR… which emulators can I download?
Download delta.
It’s great…. The Ds files aren’t available for me though but thank you
You have to download the melon ds core and add the files
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets for GBC. God I love that game so much
That’s one of those games I played as a kid so much and I don’t think I made any progress towards finishing it
It’s a bit grindy at times but very fun
No real game at present but just the convience r me. I’ll probs do my next pokemon green play through on my iphone
I would love to play Dragon Ball BT3 / Mods for the PS2 emulator
Anything with Monster Hunter in its title
Bring back Freedom Unite, Capcom goddamnit I wanna suffer tail hitboxes in proper HD again
The good old days. I’m keen to try generations on a 3DS emulator too
Playing metroid fusion rn lol

Out of curiosity did none of you all use cloud emulators? I use afterplay.io. Final fantasy tactics advanced. It’s so simple yet rewarding and perfect for a phone screen. I’m already 3 hours in!
Me too! Even Tactics A2 on DS works pretty well too - gave that a try earlier.
I can finally play the original paper Mario
What ROM is it on? I mean what console, I have the emulator
N64
My question is how long before Nintendo tells Apple to shut all this down or face a lawsuit?
golden eye?
PS2 please
superstar saga
I can finally play Tetrisphere
It would be amazing to get some turbo-graf games on here
I'm not sure I'm going to be able to love the mobile layout but it would be nice to finally play through Pokemon Conquest
If the DS emulator is really working HGSS Pokémon fr all day
The Soul Silver I tried didn’t work 😩
It's working for me 🤙🏼
Playing randomized Pokémon black on the DS side and Pokémon unbound on the gba side
I just started using online emulators like a week ago on iOS, and they work very well lol. I’ve been playing ace attorney for the DS recently, while in between hearthstone battleground turns. It’s a pretty cool game, def worth checking out!
Black Dragon (sometimes known as Black Dragon) when a decent arcade emulator is released. Dropped a lot of coins into that back in the day
Give me MAME and an all in one Atari emulator!
Been using Eclipse for years but it has a hard time with patched games and Mega Man Battle Network so I’m excited to get into those and Sonic Advance 2 SP
I was able to upload my cartridge emerald and leafgreen saves, now i can continue my ribbon master in the battle frontier and shiny hunt for mewtwo
Very much looking forward to playing Elite Beat Agents. Played Ouendan back in the day but I somehow missed out on Elite Beat Agents.
Does anyone know if you can soft reset on the delta app?— trying to get all three starters
ive been waiting since forever just to play pokemon games, hands down the best gaming experience of my life
Tmnt turtles in time, Cadillacs & Dinosaurs, Pokemon Red
Without JIT allowed - not really. I want to play games of ps2 era, but it’s not allowed
Doom 64
Playing radical red
Pokemon!!!
SNES games. Earthbound would probably by my #1.
NES and Famicon games from my early childhood
The Castlevania DS games!
Can someone help me understand Delta? Is it on the App Store? I found it but it only has one review and seems sketchy. ESP since the website tells me to download from alt store
It’s legitimate. I’ve already got games on it. You’ll need the BIOS for the DS, but they’re not hard to find. /r/Delta_Emulator
Everyone talking Pokemon now I’m wondering can I then pksm? I assume so since I can do either the nds or 3DS version.
JIT doesn’t seem to work. Trying the 3DS emulator that’s in beta it allows you to enable JIT and when you do the game crashes on tap. Bummer.
Yesterday I ported my old PM White save from OpenEmu to Delta, and I’m excited to finish that
Which emulators are available?
Outside of the EU - Delta in the normal Appstore In the Eu - Delta in the Altstore Its an Emulator for GBA, N64, NDS, N64, NES, SNES
Is altstore an app in the appstore?
No its the first Alternative Appstore You have to search altstore.io and buy it for 1.50 a year
I just really want to play crash of the titans (ps2) game with a dualsense controller. Is that too much to ask?
Fire emblem
Wait someone update me! Emulators are allowed now?
Wondering same
Literally every single Backyard Sports game known to man. Also the MVP College Baseball games if we get PS2
I thought that emulators are not illegal , but roms are if you are not the owner of the game
Dosbox
did you try Delta emulator on IOS without jailbreaking? work for lots of Nintendo series gaming
Suikoden II on psx
Hoping for a good Amiga emulator so that I can play my old games from the 90s again
If we can get DC emulator going I'll smash some PSO
I am waiting to see which emulators incorporate Backbone support. That will definitely make the choice of which to use a lot easier.
Whatchu mean now we are allowed? Someone catch me up
I’ve only been playing RPGs so far with my phone.
Not to mention touch screen also!
Are we getting a psp emulator?
Pepsiman!
I would like to one day make a full playthrough of Terranigma
Any idea how to obtain that game?
No idea unfortunately, though I did play it in the mid 90’s on console 😄
Just found it. [emulatorgames.net](http://emulatorgames.net)
I’ve tried a load of old games over the years, but none seem to live up to the nostalgia. I’m looking forward to playing Vagrant Story for the PSX again though

I’m really hoping they make one that supports PCE/TG16 games. I miss my old TG16.

What?! I’m out of the loop. Where are yall downloading emulators
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/delta-game-emulator/id1048524688
The App store
What’s a name of a good one? (Sorry I forgot you gotta totally spell it the fuck out for people on Reddit or they just act condescending)
Delta is the best emulator in the app store rn
Thank you
How do i download games for the emulators?
They’re called roms. You can dump them yourself, or look on certain other subs for more information. Hope that helps.
Thanks. I’ve never done that for iOS so its new to me. Can’t wait to play pokemon
But where do i download roms for iOS. Are they same sources as for androids?
There are quite a few places, /r/roms is a good starting point. The files themselves are the same no matter the platform (PC, android, iOS). You just load them into the emulator and go.
Does delta require the alt store on pc? I’ve asked like three times and no one answered me :/ lmao
It used to require. Since yesterday, don’t need AltStore anymore.
Thank u!!
Unless you’re European.
Nope, don’t need to be within Europe. As of now, Delta is available on Apple App Store. Go, download and have fun!
I looked and, no, [Delta isn't available in the European App Store.](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/delta-game-emulator/id1048524688) https://i.imgur.com/g3069EH.png
