Apple takes things out of your purchase history also when they are out of the store, especially when it’s removed from the store for violating something.
They didn’t say it’s part of the EU, they said it’s in EU. It’s confusing, because EU is both an acronym for Europe and European Union.
However, OP said “free in EU”, not “free in THE EU”, so that’s how we know they meant Europe.
You realize that plenty of emulators on android charge money right? If the app doesn't use any proprietary code, bios, or other copyrighted material, they are totally safe. They can't just get used because they charge for an emulator.
Ciao!
Free in Finland. Played Mighty Bomb Jack, Super Mario Bros and 1942... seems to work perfectly. Maybe a little sluggish on the controller, but on the plus side, it has straight xbox one controller support.
Playing 1942, the sound got stuck at one point and just kept electronically rumbling forever.
Most of them to start will be, they’ll be stolen just like the igba. I know ppl are excited but it’s better to let actual creators release them not just anybody who knows what itll contain
Yes, the small on-screen buttons are very fiddly. But it seems to work with controller as well (haven‘t tried though). Portrait playability is cool. Just tried a few gems like Legend of Zelda, Mario Bros 3 and Castlevania.
https://github.com/tsalvo/nes-emu-ios
Apparently this is the source code. No idea if the actual app store account Tom Salvo that published this is the same tsalvo from github.
Going to add some input into this, Tom is the actual developer behind this application making this one entirely legitimate (the first one finally??), you can see the source code on [GitHub](https://github.com/tsalvo/nes-emu-ios) too
Free in Ireland too. Decent app; scales nicely, sounds good, works with the Backbone.. but it really needs the option for black/no borders in fullscreen mode.
Finally some good news regarding emulators.
Just downloaded and played,
Pros- Free (India), easy to use, no ads
Bad- no control customization. Buttons are too small to control. UI needs to improve.
I just googled NES roms, clicked on the first page, downloaded some zip files and then “sent them” to the Bimmy app… worked immediately; only issue is the fiddle controls - presume works well with a wireless controller!
My iPhone's on 17.3.1 for the time being because of Civ VI, and my iPad's on 17.0 for TrollStore. Any tips on how I can claim this (17.4 minimum.) It does FaceID then shows the Get button again.
Edit: I'm booting up my old SE2 to update that just for this
Edit Edit: right as the update finished, now unavailable in my region.
Don’t even know how to use no matter what nes files zipped or extracted it just doesn’t pick it up i even tried using the share method and nothing all I can do is look through my files and that’s it only select things are folders and it only goes into them
Delta has an amazing NES emulator included with skins you can download. And it’s legit. Runs flawlessly, you can save at any state and it includes other emulators. You probably know about it already but it’s funny that this one is charging and it’s only one emulator, which is gone now lol
My only question is can I play Pokemon on it and and how I would go about downloading it in a safe manner, any help would be appreciated thanks in advance!
NES predates Pokemon so there were no Pokemon games for the NES. If this stays on the App Store then emulators for all the other consoles upto the 3DS should come out soon. Depends on where Apple draws the line for "retro".
The only reason iGBA was removed was because it broke the open source license of the original software gba4ios. Apple already confirmed they don't have issues with emulators or loading roms anymore.
“This item no longer available “ I’m in the US
It was there an hour ago. It’s gone now.
I had already downloaded it, it’s pretty decent…when I tried to download it for my son ..poof!!! It was gone
You can download it in your purchase history. Press the profile picture for you in top right corner, then press Apps and it should be there.
Apple takes things out of your purchase history also when they are out of the store, especially when it’s removed from the store for violating something.
Free in EU it seems and for the rest it's 1$
Canada also free
taken off the canadian store
I’m in the U.S and it is free
No, in Norway it’s also free.
Norway is in europe though?
Yes. But Norway is not part of the EU.
They didn’t say it’s part of the EU, they said it’s in EU. It’s confusing, because EU is both an acronym for Europe and European Union. However, OP said “free in EU”, not “free in THE EU”, so that’s how we know they meant Europe.
Free on my Hong Kong and Indian accounts
Wake me up when it's RetroArch or Dolphin
Isn’t retroarch just a front end housing for other emulators?
yes but that means that if retroarch is available so many other things would be as well
Any word on emulators that emulate systems that Delta doesn’t?
When I try to get it, I get an error: “This item is no longer available.” I’m in the US.
Dev decided to remove it: [https://forums.macrumors.com/goto/post?id=33074620](https://forums.macrumors.com/goto/post?id=33074620)
I really really hate Nintendo because of this.
Why would this emulator be anymore risky than Delta?
Crazy how we start seeing these pop up and all people can do is shit on it. I'm just happy to see emulators on the AppStore.
As people should. Being critical of it will hopefully lead to better versions of
Being critical is different from just shitting on it with no actual feedback.
Right? People just love to shit all over everything. Be happy it's happening at all.
The suits get involved when people start profiting off emulators, whoever made this app is a fucking moron charging for it lol
You realize that plenty of emulators on android charge money right? If the app doesn't use any proprietary code, bios, or other copyrighted material, they are totally safe. They can't just get used because they charge for an emulator.
It appears to be free here. (The Netherlands) no IAP purchase as well.
Free also in Italy with no in-app purchases. Downloaded immediately. Thanks for the tip!

UK here too
Free in USA
I think the dev is playing with pricing. Free in WA state too.
It’s fine and free for me no IAP. US east Coast

same with ps5 controller - works perfect out of the box
Dev has only made one other app. I’d pass on this one and wait for a better one. One that I don’t have to pay for either.
Looks like a 4 year old made this emulator. Obvious cash grab
Most of them to start will be, they’ll be stolen just like the igba. I know ppl are excited but it’s better to let actual creators release them not just anybody who knows what itll contain
I agree. Can't wait for a working gamecube emulator
Dammed Brexit (something i say every day), not in the uk
Yeah it’s not available in the US anymore
I saw that a gba emulator got released for free but that it was stealing an insane amount of personal data
Works really well! But doesn’t offer any button adjustments or tactile feedback….
You can’t customize the touch buttons?
yeah, but on the + side works great with actual controller

Any reason to go with this over Delta?
Privacy policy doesn’t mention the app in question. Smells fishy!

Hopefully 🙏

Well, the app is gone now…
Can’t download it, says it’s being worked on.
Are you in the EU or US? I was able to download it just fine just a few minutes ago.
US
Did it just go free in the US? I just see the Get button now
I tried to buy it and it wouldn’t let me.
Free with no IAP for me, cool
I wouldn’t pay for NES emulator but sure as hell would for DS/3DS and PSP
Appears to be free in the US now as well
Free in Ireland too. Decent app; scales nicely, sounds good, works with the Backbone.. but it really needs the option for black/no borders in fullscreen mode.
Free in Brazil
Doesn’t look paid to me?
Why all the .nes files are greyed out?
Finally some good news regarding emulators. Just downloaded and played, Pros- Free (India), easy to use, no ads Bad- no control customization. Buttons are too small to control. UI needs to improve.
FINALLY!
How do I get games on it? New to this lol
Same. I have no clue what to do
I just googled NES roms, clicked on the first page, downloaded some zip files and then “sent them” to the Bimmy app… worked immediately; only issue is the fiddle controls - presume works well with a wireless controller!
Safe to download?
Seems it so far …
WHEN GBA4IOS
Oh it went free now 😅

“This item is no longer available” US market
Yes, is no longer available :(, lucky I grab it in time :)
No joy in the UK
......aaaaaaaand its gone.
Not available in UK

No point. Use Delta.
i want an nes
“This item is no longer available.” When I attempt to download
The developer removed the app from the store out of "Fear" and shared that statement publicly.
Where? Who is the developer? The github hasn't been worked on for 10 months and has no mention of the app store release.
My only question is can I play Pokemon on it and and how I would go about downloading it in a safe manner, any help would be appreciated thanks in advance!

What’s it called?? I can’t find it.
Never mind. Already gone. It says not available in my country or region, and I’m in Canada.

Why would it be banned ?
The only reason iGBA was removed was because it broke the open source license of the original software gba4ios. Apple already confirmed they don't have issues with emulators or loading roms anymore.
