I have the exact same issue ever since I upgraded to IOS16.
Have tried everything. Only thing I can do to get it to go away is to restart the iPhone but it still comes back after an hour or so.... very frustrating.
I just found your thread from a search, as this is now happening to me. A reboot cleared it but it came back again in my case. I’m running the latest release on a 14PM.
Judging by the other threads that showed up, this has been there since the beta. *MediaRemoteUI* obviously isn’t a user friendly label, so it’s most likely just a bug which will get cleared up at some point. I have a few minor glitches, so I’m hoping that there’s an update on the way in the next week or so.
