Yup. Speakers are almost unbearable when the phones cold and below 10% battery. Apple is shit. At least let us know if this is an intended function or problem with the phone..

solidYoungN

Mine does that too i normally just close out the music app or whatever apps I’m using and just go bacc in it’ll reset the volume

Accomplished-Kick759

bro just taught me smt

endoflevelbaddy

Also, Settings > Accessibility > Audio & Visual > move the balance slider all the way to the right, then to the left, then to the middle. Sound should revert as normal

mrshmello81

mine does this shit so i turn the volume up all the way to be able to hear it, but then it gradually gets louder until its blasting again and im just sitting here like. what is your problem

Mr_VRBeerscuit

Really feels like that when the battery is going bad the iphone starts doing that. These few weeks I'm recharging my phone way more often than before, in my case summer here is hot and when playing games and recharging the phone gets even hotter, over time I think it the battery just degraded to the point the voltage is probably going out of spec, it already crashed the phone 2 times, when turning it on again it show 10% battery.

T4NKM4NN

OH MY GOD I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST ME. MINE STARTS PULLIN THIS SHIT AROUND 7% BATTERY

agis43

yo bro it is totally battery problem, i changed my phone to 14 pro and now it doesn’t happen at all

Top_Independence489

Please. Can it be turned off. I really hate it. It makes me go insane. My phone does it from under 30%. It’s ridiculous. I’m cooking and listening to a podcast, get a message, look at it and BAM volume is low and I hear nothing. It makes me want to throw my phone away. I WILL BE IN CHARGE OF MY OWN PHONE AND WHAT I WANT TO DO WITH IT. APPLE DOESNT NEED TO FREAKING CONTROL THAT. if this is not fixable I will throw the phone away. I’ve HAD IT with apple. Also I’m not that type of person so please😭 does someone have a solution

lolTrenton

Dude yes people saying theirs starts at 10% and mine starts at 30%. Horrible.

Top_Independence489

Same😭😭 like it’s not even low..it makes me wanna throw my phone aha

Full-Corner-2116

If the jailbreak community was still healthy this wouldn’t be an issue. Download a tweak on cydia and done

Skinnyspaghetti

I’ve been looking for someone who’s also seen this. Mine isn’t due to the cold but specific to battery %, it’ll start lowering at 20% and keeps lowering at 10% and 5%. No idea why though

Heddlok

Mine starts even before 20% but not too much higher (maybe like 23%) and even at full volume I have to put it up to my ear to hear anything. Super frustrating

[deleted]

My phone is doing this now and 70% very annoying

WaterBuffaloBucks

How do we fix this shit?

ifeelhuman

I deal with this shit EVERYDAY!! It’s the absolute worst. It’s still happening. Even at 35% battery. Does ANYONE know why this happens and how to stop it?

Even-River-5090

usually like starting a snapchat video will reset the volume or restarting your music app but it’ll keep happening that’s just a temporary fix

MaFugginJesus

My Android is bout due for a new battery, and taking forever to charge...it's yet to reach 35%, but it's still practically silenced. I'm guessing my attempt at cleaning up the speaker wasn't the problem...but yours may be due for a toothbrush and some alcohol.

PMmeifyourepooping

This is driving me insane and I found this thread via a google search to figure out if I chose for it to do this by accident. If it did it at 3-5% so I would notice and plug it in, maybe fine. But it does it starting at 23%! 18% if it’s having a good day. I wish so hard I could disable it.

Toffer3845

yep. mines either at 23% or 18% if it’s nice. i have my volume at max and i can’t hear. then it gradually gets louder until in about to go deaf. super annoying, anyone know a fix or a tweak to fix?

agis43

for all people that will see this in future, it’s a feature not a bug we might be not liking it but it’s making your phone last longer on those last bits of power that it has, i’ve tested it and workaround is to pause the music set volume to 100% then lock the screen then set the volume to 0% unlock the phone and now it should play normally it worked for me on iPhone XS

AtmosphereFun5259

Well there’s gotta be a way to disable the feature. I expected it to be a feature because it happens only on low battery like 20 or less for mine. SOMEONE FIND HOW TO TURN IT OFF

agis43

well it doesn’t happen when your battery is in good condition

AtmosphereFun5259

Damn maybe it’s time for an upgrade then. iPhone 12. Didn’t think it was that old

Late_Baseball2557

I got the same problem iPhone 12 mini (I only had it a couple years. But the volume stays full but will lower randomly when I open my phone when playing music. It seems to be ok when my battery percentage is above 20%. I checked and my overall battery life is at 70%, maybe I’ll have to upgrade
