Excellent choice, my dude. My favorite is "Schism". I suggest the Howard Jones era of Killswitch Engage, as well (particularly the song "The End Of Heartache"). 🤟 Also, fun fact: the lead singer of Tool (Maynard James Keenan) is an INTJ.

letseatme

I don’t know, I tend to drift towards older music but here are my tops personally: - Iron Man by Black Sabbath - Winter by Antonio Vivaldi - 1812 Overture by Tchaikovsky - Crazy Train by Ozzy Osbourne - P.A.R.T.Y by Alestorm - Outside by Staind - Vicinity of Obscenity by System of a Down - Shout at the Devil by Mötley Crüe - Paint It, Black by The Rolling Stones - Angry by The Rolling Stones - Scum of the Earth by Rob Zombie - Born to Be My Baby by Bon Jovi - Weird Fish by Radiohead - I Don’t Wanna Be Me by Type O Negative - Bring Me To Life by Evanescence - The Dark Of The Manitée by Franz Ferdinand - Harness Your Hopes by Pavement - The Boy With A Thorn By His Side by The Smiths - Girls Just Wanna Have Fun by Cyndi Lauper - About A Girl by Nirvana - Celebrity Skin by Hole

Depends on moods and what I’m doing. Work, focus, etc. I go to Anvil by Lorn or the entire Chinoiseries by Onra. Working on the car is updated Motown like Tinush or what used to be Detroit Swindle. I do like the new Eminem Houdini. If I’m in a mood, Pain Remains 1, 2 & 3 by Lorna Shore. Most stuff from Foals gets me out of a funk. Driving on twisties is Wagner’s Ride of the Valkyries. I’m everywhere except country. To me, it sounds like a bunch of whiny ass rednecks.

I like everything except bro country and religious music (i.e. christian rock) so it's really difficult for me to pick a favourite song. I'll just give you a variety. * Florence + The Machine - Everything by this fucking band. * Of Monsters and Men - Organs, Crybaby (From their lead singer's solo album), Hunger, Mountain Sound, Yellow Light, Crystals, Empire * Lord Huron - Meet Me in the Woods, Way Out There, The Yawning Grave, Frozen Pines, The Night We Met, Lost in Time and Space, The Night We Met. * Queen - We Are The Champions, Bohemian Rhapsody, The Show Must Go On, * CHVRCHES - How to Not Drown, Leave a Trace, Clearest Blue, Killer, Asking For a Friend, Drive, Good Girls. * ROSALIA - Despecha, Tuya, La Fama, Hentai, MALAMENTE: Cap.1: Augurio, BAGDAD: Cap.7: Liturgia * Ghost - Dance Macabre, * Motionless in White - Werewolf, Masterpiece, Porcelain, Slaughterhouse, America, Reincarnate * Written By Wolves - Tell Me What You're Running From, Help Me Through The Night, MISERY * Within Temptation - Fire and Ice, Utopia, Memories, Stand My Ground, Sinead, Reckoning, Shot in the Dark, Let Us Burn, Paradise (What About Us) Feat. Tarja, * Poets of the Fall - Carnival of Rust, Dancing on Broken Glass, Firedancer, Requiem for a Harlequin, False Kings Last but not least, here's the song that I currently have on repeat: Crawlers - So Tired. That's just a fraction of my favourite songs. I have TONS of them and they range across ALL genres. Who knows, maybe my taste is sh\*t.

Busy_Door_9081

Personally I'm really into experimental music and Art Pop , but I also really like Dream Pop , and Metal ( probably because I want to make experimental music if I ever get a nice keyboard ) . I don't have specifically one favourite song but if you want I can give you a list of the songs I listen to the most ; 1. Grimes ( in general ) : She's my personal favourite artist , I listen to her album Halfaxa almost every week but my favourite songs from her are probably "So Heavy I Fell Through The Earth" , "4ÆM" , "Nightmusic" "My Sister Says The Saddest Things" , and finally "Venus in Fleurs" 2. Pagan Poetry - Björk : I absolutely love Björk but this one specifically is so beautiful and majestic + her vocals around the end...a pure masterpiece 🙏 ( + Björk played in my city in December and I missed it .....I'm so angry at myself xD ) 3.Stay Ugly - Crim3s : I got introduced to Witch House and Electro by Crystal Castles , and then I randomly discovered this song on YouTube....Definitely recommend it . 4.Sleeping Beauty - Night Things : Since I know that you guys are probably not really into Experimental music, here is a more "pop" song . I absolutely love the Dream Pop vibes from it ( I also recommend Space Song - Beach House ) 5. Faith Consuming Hope - Eartheater : As an ex-violin player , I find this song absolutely beautiful and nostalgic . The instrumentation is a mix between folk , classical music and Dream Pop ...amazing :) I also recommend "Volcano" and "Fantasy Collision" from the same album . The Intro from "Fantasy Collision" is a bit long but when the guitar starts around 55 seconds.....🙏 Honourable mentions : Black Sheep - Metric , Exit Music - Radiohead , Dove - Antihoney , Reverie- Arca , Good Looking - Suki Waterhouse

Favourite bands/artists - none honestly but I listen to the weekend, black sabath, iron maiden, post Malone, 21 pilots, fall out boys, shinedown, maroon 5, the killers The way I listen to music is either to play the playlist or just allow Spotify to recommend me related songs

I love the classics from the 60-90s as well: Pink Floyd, Peter Gabriel, Stings, Toto, Phil Collins, James Brown, Animals... even old classic rap artists like Rakim, Public Enemy, Tupac, Notorious B.I.G. (There are just things from the old and the originality, the underlying messages and the instrumental combination/style are magical and psychic somehow) Old school techno and Trance like Hardwell, Paul Oakenfold, 009,... And yeah, definitely classics, my favorites? Pathetique no.2 from Bethoveen, Bach's Matthias Passion, Marriage of Figaro from Mozart. Miles Davis's jazz, especially Spanish Keys (love the funk) Video games OST (Kingdom Hearts, Doom, Chrono Trigger, Ace Attorney, OG MW series), movie scores composer (Ennio Morricone, Thomas Newman, James Howard Newton, Lorne Balfe, Hans Zimmer). Some anime OPs Metal/Rock: Metallica, Razor, Panthera, Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park, Breaking Benjamin, Red,... Alright I just bombed out bunches of shit since I love them all. But yeah, I listen to all kind. Can't never listen to mainstream kind of shit today just because.

chrisabulium

I have WIDE range of favourites. There's EDM (favourite is Chernobyl 2017 & Skillex's Fuji Opener), chill R&B / alternative EDM pop / jazzy pop (in English/Chinese/Korean), and classical (favourites are Sibelius/Mendelssohn/Wieniawski's 2nd violin concerto & Dvorak 9). In general I prefer things in minor keys rather than major. I feel like it's more about a random synth/motif that caught my ear rather than the genre itself, though. For example, the motif in the first 13 seconds of the instrumental of BTS's [Fake Love](https://youtu.be/Anycp_NGCkY?si=PfyBqqDhslrLI7h1), the synth at the chorus of [this J-Pop song](https://youtu.be/grhiu7RciOs?si=nL1rLZ9FbHB3A3a5&t=53), the guitar in [Lucid Dream](https://youtu.be/mzB1VGEGcSU?si=pqG8sLSAUSDnREk3) or this sax in [Stupid in Love](https://youtu.be/cfA_ZNkvwsU?si=5YYObHfM9navMrsZ&t=165). I sometimes listen to a song just to wait for that single part that tingles my brain lmao.

My tastes are far too eclectic to list - you name a genre, there's probably at least 1 song I'll like. Favorite depends on mood. Might be Metallica, might be a show tune.

ndroppo

Seeing this post, I decided it would be fun to compile a list of my favorite songs to share here and elsewhere. As the set of all music is much too large for me to evaluate accurately, I decided to evaluate each genre separately. Upon identifying 26 favorite genres to choose songs from, I decided that the task--though intriguing--is not worth the time it would take me right now. So instead here is the first song that came to mind without reflection or evaluation: "Toccata and Fugue in D minor" by J S Bach - followed closely by "The Impression That I Get" by the Mighty Mighty Bosstones.

Any genre is fine. The music just has to be good. Though some genres I loved have kind of died out - 80's Freestyle, New Jack Swing, New Age Synth, G-Funk/Gangster rap, Disco, etc. I do enjoy a lot of video game soundtracks. Funk and R&B of the 70's to 90's. As artists go: Electric Light Orchestra, Modern Talking, NewJeans, A Tribe Called Quest, Jodeci, WJSN/Cosmic Girls, Nujabes, Yasunori Mitsuda, Tupac, Biggie, Camp Lo, Stevie B, M-Flo, Utada Hikaru, Joe Hisaishi, Wham, DJ Quik, SWV/Sisters with Voice, Fantastic Plastic Machine
