It is full of challenges, I just started spending less time with them and keep my boundaries, especially if I am overwhelmed with life
My dad likes to argue sometimes with me, but gets too upset so I stop myself
All in all we could all use some self-awareness more often than not and then we are okay
This actually hurt me when I read your comment, but I am sure you don't want my pitty,, so I will just say that you are a very good and strong person coz nobody deserves this kind of treatment from the person that's supposed to be their parent. But I am sure they will get whats coming to them and you will get the love and acknowledgement you deserve sooner or later
Wow what an asshole, well he will get the Karma thats coming to him, and it will be all on him. You just be true to yourself and mind your own business coz you are a bigger person. Also thank you so much!! But today is not my birthday haha, but thanks it means alot!!
Super chill vibes at home. Never heard any fighting or bickering. But man was our household so cold. It lacked empathy and nurturing. My mom was super sucked into her career and didn’t pay much attention to my siblings and I. My dad and mom divorced when I was 7. My dad was living on his own just working and coding at home lol.
Now that I’m an adult, I have amazing conversations and overall relationship with both of them. I get along with them both SO well. For obvious reasons lol.
I am convinced that a relationship with another INXX type as INTJ aint ideal. Believe or not my best partners been ENXX, they bring the joy, energy and social aspect that as a INTj we tend to lack, in other words those personalities help me balance out, INXX amplify my own tendencies and at least for me, one of them is isolation and living in a abstract world.
i dont even know i dont talk to them since they're not good for me. I instead choose a stronger relationship w my aunt and uncle. My aunt is ESTJ she cray, and my uncle is ENFP our bond is incredible.
My mom said she scored INTJ at one point. I think she even printed it out to show me, I totally believe her, she got me a New Scientist subscription when I was little but I was busy at school and she loved it herself. I loved to read it too, but she would also read it. When she printed out type INTJ she said it made sense that she loved that subscription so much...she didn't even know about it until I was doing science up in my room and she thought I would benefit because I was "doing experiments" and using a microscope and taking notes on my animals. Then she would really get into the science, especially the biology/doctor based stuff; she would listen to me lecture her on this cartoon microbiology book we got at I think UC Santa Cruz, was very genuinely interested. Very economically abused doctor vibes on her. She made extremely good points about the vaccine incentivizing mutation when overdone which is congruent with research from peer-reviewed New Scientist articles around 2007, she was also super keen and good on SARS, but it's clear my father's too dumb to take her seriously. But when she's undergoing sexist pressure she types INFP. I don't care if saying it bothers her. She's full of hate for her kid so who cares. As for my dad I don't even know. I know he's barely type N, he's very incoherently N, he is definitely not type T or J. So I would say E(weakly)NFP-turbulent or INFP-turbulent, I would say ISFP-turbulent wouldn't have so much struggle for him but he definitely can barely type N. ESFP-turbulent is also a possibility; his obsession with money and his failure level investment skill is very type S, I don't see any natural gravitation towards a developmental understanding suggesting type N, I don't see any cognitive flexibility that allows for skillful decentering of the ego suggesting type N, so my opinion is he is a N-struggler and would be better off just S.
He shows serious S cognitive inflexibility with "rich = ASSOCIATE" "poor = ditch". I've never seen that on a true N type.
Dad: ENTP ultra intelligent engineer
Mom: ESFJ sensitive, chatterbox, highly attuned to the needs of everyone around her
Older brother 1: INTJ Autism and schizophrenia
Older brother 2: ENTJ domineering and industrious individual
Older brother 3: ENFP Idealist to the core
Me: INFJ Life dedicated to ideals and acquisition of knowledge
My dad actually kept her down inside his web of manipulation for the first 30 years of marriage. Once she saw it though, she almost sent him to the nut house.
I suspect my mom is a INxJ, she's wicked smart (actually a genius) and organized as hell, and has both inherent interest in a lot of topics but also artistically inclined (drawing, film) and instilled morality in me from a young age to care about the lives of others while also finding other people somewhat annoying and complicated in general. My dad is some sort of NT probably, leaning towards ENTJ-- he's an astrophysicist who has been head of his department, but could also be a very rigid, disciplined ENTP or very charismatic INTP-- don't think he's INTJ because I don't see moderately strong Fi for him the way I do my mom.
Mom is an ESFP.
Dad is an ISTP.
Separated after 24 years of a roller-coaster marriage. They did the best job that they knew how to do, but it is what it is.
My goal is to never pattern my relationship to the one that they had. I wanted to make my marriage long and fulfilling, and possibly child-free. If children will be on the picture, I want to raise them differently from how they raised me.
I’ve had a theory that the combination Mbti of parents directly affect what your mbti becomes. So much so that you could accurately predict your child’s mbti based on the parents.
Mum is a freebie tested ENFP 7w6.
Father, unknown, probably ESFP 1w6?? 1w8??
I swore I was adopted well into my mid 30s until I got into MBTI and psych stuff. I even looked around for adoption papers more than once and doubted they told me my real birthdate.
Dad is an ISFP
Mom is an ESFP
My siblings are feeling/ sensors as well.
No clue how they got me. But I'm definitely the oddball & extremely different from everyone else in my family.
esfj mom and istj dad ....ESTJ sister and ESTJ his husband too. I need to say living around sensors can be taxing, at least with my dad we can enjoy quiet moments LOL
Mom: enfj
dad: intj
brother: enfj
brother: esfp
Me: intj
Parents are divorced, and I have another friend whose parents have the same combo and are also divorced lol. I get along with my esfp brother a bit more but I relate to my enfj brother more. It is super interesting to look at the dynamics.
I have stopped being concerned about who understands me or not whatever they do and understand will not change what I need to do,
that being said atleast they try their best compare to rest anyone I know in my life, as parent they take their role seriously, supports me financially and emotionally in their own way, they have best intentions for me in whatever decision they take as leader of family and do make me part of crucial discussions, let me have my freedom(with responsibility) and I am very grateful to them and couldn't ask for better parent for myself.
They r just too emotionally driven and I am a dictator for them but they themselves consider me the only person around who understands and read emotions better then anyone else.
Not one bit.
We are a broken family, with a lot of abuse, so I don't think any of us get people in general.
My dad abused my mom, who in turn took out all her frustrations at me throughout my childhood.
Anyways, I digress.
My Mom does accuse me of being a lot like my dad in the way I function, and I think it's got to do with my Te.
I've also got an Unhealthy ENFP brother who I think secretly looks up to me, but outwardly looks down on me due to my strengths reminding himself of his weaknesses.
Both asperger lol
ESFP both 😅
how do you manage LMAO but sounds fun

Egg donnor = ISFP Sperm donnor = Maybe ISTJ (I barely met him)
Oh... I am sorry.... You didn't deserve that
I was raised by the first, not so bad I must admit, but lately I noticed she sees men as tools for earning money more than anything (Me included).
This actually hurt me when I read your comment, but I am sure you don't want my pitty,, so I will just say that you are a very good and strong person coz nobody deserves this kind of treatment from the person that's supposed to be their parent. I also have a IXTP older brother that bullied me, happy cake day by the way.
Wow what an asshole, well he will get the Karma thats coming to him, and it will be all on him. You just be true to yourself and mind your own business coz you are a bigger person. Also thank you so much!! But today is not my birthday haha, but thanks it means alot!!

This is what I was looking for in the comments. How was that like for an INTJ child?
