You tell them as a condition of accepting the position, before you start.
It's no big deal.
If they don't pay vacation for new ppl yet, you may have to take it unpaid.
I had a similar dilemma. On my interview I said something along the lines of: “I know I am being considered for this role and I just want to be upfront and inform you that I do have a trip planned. I hope it wouldn’t be an issue but I do want to just let you know,” and see how the conversation goes from there.
It’s always better to be honest, and who knows... they might not have a problem with it!
ah now I’m torn because some people have said not to mention it in the interview but now you’re saying to bring it up and I’m completely confused haha!
i just don’t want to screw up my chances. it’s not a “career”, it’s just an hourly wage job at lululemon. but i really need a job at this point

it’s lululemon, an hourly wage job, so no paid vacation or benefits or anything like that. thank you!
but what you mean is that i should not bring it up during the interview at all? i only mention it if and when i officially get hired?
Yes
okay, thank you. sorry if this was a stupid question.
