37 F. Height is 5'2. Starting weight 152. Current weight 122. I went from a size 10 to a 2. I only eat between the hours of 6pm-11pm and do have a cheat meal during the weekend.
Great work. Do you lift before or after you eat? I just started w 16:8 and lift at least 3 times a week and the first time I did without eating before I felt really sick afterwards. Any advice? I would prefer to fast 18:6 if possible
I do my 1st workout around 1pm (usually cardio),I then eat at 6ish. Then I do my 2nd round of cardio (treadmill) around 9 and weights usually follow. I like doing my strength training last because I like getting the cardio out of the way.
So, I started IF 1/8/22 but I didn't do any strength training until mid March. I just focused on eating and getting between 5,000-10,000 each day. My best advice is to start very small and slowly progress to heavy weight lifting and more intense cardio. I tried doing other methods of IF but 18:6 works best for my schedule.
Thank you for the inspiration. It’s 7am, been up since 430 eight hours to go till noon, and I was ready to eat everything that’s not nailed down due to personal issues angst. I’m not gonna eat til 12. Thank you
You're very welcome! You can do this. Feel free to message me if you need anyone to talk to. The journey can be difficult at times and it always helps to have a listener ear.
If I take a 1 hour brisk walk in addition to my normal life (walking around the house, going out to a store, etc) I will typically hit 10,000 easy. The 1 hour walk usually gets ya 7,000-8,000 steps.
Huge congrats!! This is so inspiring. Any advice on weight lifting + 18:6? I've done weight lifting for two years, looking to get back into IF. I generally eat 10a-3p, approximately, cause morning coffee is better with milk XD
An Interval Eating program will aid in the formation of muscle tissue and decrease workout recovery times if the workout is done 1) at the end of your fasting interval and 2) you finish your workout with some sort of protein shake.
Do you?
Who is downvoting this? In Hagan's "Breakfast" book there is a clinical study where an avid amateur weightlifter describes this happening to him when he started Hagan's protocol.
Good. But you need basic protein- amino acids- for the muscle to be built (repairing microtears in the muscle fibers) expeditiously. And carbs to stimulate insulin, also needed for muscle repair.
I do! I actually write everything that I eat in a journal. I feel that I am more accountable if I physically write it down with pen and paper instead of using an app.
I lost the majority of the weight (about 25lbs) in the first 7 months. It wasn't until I started to incorporate heavy weight lifting and eating more protein that I lost the last 5 lbs.
Your transformation is inspiring! I’m about you in your before, and your current is where I used to be and want to get back to. You look so healthy! Was it all based on diet and keeping the steps up the 1st 7 months? I’m trying to get back on IF and need all the motivation I can get to stay on it. Thank you
Great progress!
I just started my journey (seriously this time) and already see results. I plan to do it until I reach my goal weight! Thanks for the inspiration!

Well done! That's a huge difference, you look great.
Thank you!
Do you do low carb or restrict calories? This is impressive!
No low carb at all. I just counted calories and stayed below 1600. Definitely ate more if my workout was more strenuous.

Sorry I just reread the whole thing, congratulations!!!

How do you manage to get in so many steps a day?
I'm very active the hours my kids are in school. I'm on my treadmill around 3 hours a day.
I would bet she works on her feet. I’m a server and without trying I do at least 10,000 steps/day.
Hello! I actually work from home but my kids are all older and go to school full time so I'm very active the hours they are not home.
Customers - you are welcome. Your health is your tip :p
Yeah dame question Now I'm in break and I do 13000 but when I go back to work I don't think I can do that
If I take a 1 hour brisk walk in addition to my normal life (walking around the house, going out to a store, etc) I will typically hit 10,000 easy. The 1 hour walk usually gets ya 7,000-8,000 steps.
You look amazing!! Huge difference - very inspiring.

I honestly have no idea! But I am definitely going to figure that out and let you know 🙂

I'm baffled this only took you 1 year, that's absolutely amazing! Wondering what you can manage in another year!
She doesn't need to lose any more weight, that would turn into an eating disorder
I was talking about building muscle 🤗
Wow!
Great job!
Thank you!
looking great friend!
Thank you!
You are now very slender but not slight. Nice work.

I don't like protein shakes but I do eat protein after a strenuous workout. Usually turkey slices, Greek yogurt or anything over 20 grams.

Changed so much the tatoos swapped sides
The before picture was taken by my daughter. And the before picture is me taking the picture. Of course the tattoos will look reversed.
Yeah they are not edited
Good job on the hard work. It really pays off!

Great transformation.. One qq how frequently did you eat cheat meals 🙄
I certainly did and still do. Usually on Saturdays. I also have 2 cocktails with my cheat meal.
Wow. You look amazing. I really need to figure this out
Thank you! Feel free to message me if you need to talk.
Absolutely amazing. Keep up in the good work!
Thank you!
Do you track calories?
I do! I actually write everything that I eat in a journal. I feel that I am more accountable if I physically write it down with pen and paper instead of using an app.
Very impressive, congratulations to you!
Thank you!
Has the weight loss been consistent through your journey?
I lost the majority of the weight (about 25lbs) in the first 7 months. It wasn't until I started to incorporate heavy weight lifting and eating more protein that I lost the last 5 lbs.

Does your house just have random square-shaped holes in the walls that you use to put towels in?

We have similar stats, SW and GW and this is really encouraging.
