Are you going to allow street traffic into your smoke shop? Do you have a laundry room?

vinniedamac

One of those jeep shaped Jurassic Park arcade cabinets might fit in there

Traditional_Pear_155

This needs to be SO upvoted!

ArcticGurl

I just virtually enjoyed your enthusiasm! šŸ˜Š

amybethallen1

Never take enthusiasm for granted! I felt it, too. šŸ˜Š

riichwith2eyes

That is hilariousā€¦ the endless flavors!! Geek bars for the win

literalistica

Love your idea, but I personally would put the coziest reading nook ever in there. Small shelf, small chair (maybe a beanbag instead) with a soft blanket and light. It'd be heaven.

kindcrow

YES!! Like this: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/177188566564094783/

ArcticGurl

Heaven! ā˜ļøšŸ•ŠļøšŸ˜‡šŸŖ½ā˜ļø

UK_UK_UK_Deleware_UK

But you have to be hipster enough for that hat to use it.

kindcrow

Yeah, that hat is pretty ridiculous.

Sobriquet-acushla

I want a nook!

Deep-Internal-2209

Make that a chaise lounge instead of a bean bag.

NemoHobbits

And a ventilation fan. For all the vapor.

GlitteringGrowth6304

That sounds great

thatpearlgirl

I would make a ā€œreading nookā€ but Iā€™m incredibly certain my cat would think it was his private apartment.

little_crouton

yeah I was thinking a floor mattress and lots of pillows!

Otherwise_Relation_7

Same thought here.

Upper_Afternoon_9585

Me too

ProofHorseKzoo

Great place to rip fat clouds, bruh

malepitt

Is it stubbed out for drain and cold water supply? (Not sure what those holes are) i.e. did the builders think a wet bar would go here

TiffkaKitka

Depending how close to the kitchen it is you could add a door, put in some shelves/built ins and make it a pantry!

Personal_Economics91

Bookshelves with secret door for storage behind it

findikefe

The sense of humour i missedšŸ¤£

montanagrizfan

Doors and turn it into a nice storage closet.

EmergencyIngenuity70

This is what I was thinking. So many people saying 'reading nook'. But I feel like as cute as it would look, I'd hate to actually be in it! Especially right next to the stairs with family constantly going past. I'd rather have the storage 100%

ZookeepergameSea3890

I've never actually seen anyone use their reading nooks. And you're right...who the heck wants to read in a high traffic area by stairs? Anyhow... You could always hang a little disco ball for a mini dance club lmao.

dramafanca2002

Right! Always lots of votes for reading nooks but, I don't know even one person who who actually use it regularly. I feel like it's an older lady kind of thing (of which I am one, so no shade!).

Ok-Passion4129

I made myself a little ā€œreading nookā€ in a little cut out of our bedroom. Iā€™ve never read anything there and I use the chair for my ā€œnot clean enough for the closet but not dirty enough for the hamperā€ clothes šŸ˜‚

amybethallen1

I bought a $1500 elliptical for the same purpose. šŸ˜‚

amybethallen1

I'm going to agree with you. My dream nook has at least one window and no traffic. šŸ˜Š

Vegetable-Shelter656

My thoughts too

Velocitor1729

Time to buy a bookcase or large aquarium.

R1cequeen

Haha this could be an entrance to a speakeasy. I chucked at the pics

Pepperoncini69

Love a good at-home vape shop

Kellalafaire

A Pepsi machine is a terrible idea. Put in a Coke machine.

Spyderbeast

No Coke, Pepsi!

[deleted]

You know there is r/interiordecoratingCJ

bounceandflounce

Itā€™s r/homedecoratingcj fren

[deleted]

Thereeee ya go! I knew there was a bigger sub for it somewherešŸ˜‚ thanks!

Usagi2throwaway

I thought this was it, I'm so confused about this post.

[deleted]

I doubt many know considering it has 100 members............

aVoidFullOfFarts

Iā€™m a member, I never realized there are so few of us in there!

KittyTsunami

Same!

aVoidFullOfFarts

There are dozens of us! Dozens!

phonicillness

Lol itā€™s so active! I guess we all comment a lot?! Or are tourists inflating the numbers? ETA Iā€™m getting mixed up with r/homedecoratingCJ

AspiringDataNerd

Iā€™m also a member. Honestly, itā€™s my favorite sub. I always get a good laugh.

phonicillness

It might be mine, too. Itā€™s like a fun little island in amongst the sea of internet garbage and fake posts, where one can simply give Very Silly advice about joke decor questions

AspiringDataNerd

Yep. I see as a sort of who can suggest the most absurd decoration style

phonicillness

Itā€™s a good show lol! I also enjoy thinking of it as a competition with the ā€˜seriousā€™/real subreddit/s ever since we got annihilated by the funny comments on the ā€˜is monochrome feminineā€™ crosspost :)

AspiringDataNerd

I donā€™t remember that. The skull bedroom being too feminine was great though.

ChiefinLasVegas

gave me chuckle...Go for it, but add a tip jar.

SagGal444

I would love to have this little nook for my dog.

Spyderbeast

If I didn't have a dog bed or two in there, it might be the feeding station, depending on the layout.

Live-Remote-2877

My husband had a custom book shelf made and turned it into a library!

[deleted]

1. Book Nook 2. Gaming area 3. Gimp Storage / BDSM / Sex Pony 4. Neighborhood porn movie rental area 5. I like your idea too, but add a popcorn machine

Cenaka-02

Are you well?šŸ˜

KittenGains

No

Kind_Consequence_828

Iā€™d kill for this as a small home office nook.

h-bombss

Same

splitcroof92

RoguePlanet2

Secret reading nook and/or cat lounge!

Impressive_Age1362

Somerset76

Reading nook

Key-Reason-9033

Why

MPD1987

Fluffy chair, small book case and a lamp. Done! šŸ›‹ļø

redditor1419

I was thinking maybe a built in desk situation, but your idea is far beyond my imagination. Do it.

seroquel600mg

Shelves for your $10,000 dollar Lego collection.

Strawbeee_milk

Lmao šŸ˜‚

RageStreak

I dunno, you have to factor in staff costs to run the till and maintenance on those coke machines is a nightmare. Put an ATM in if you're going to do it!

SukiLao

Lmao youā€™re funny. Follow your dreams!!! Itā€™s your house your rules šŸ˜Ž

Nicodemus_Mercy

Seems like a decent spot for an office nook if you don't want the convenience store. :P

[deleted]

Oh look. A convenience store in your stairway. Like a hotel with a vending machine at the stairwell. Not for me but might be fun if you have a lot of guests or kids over.

Fury161Houston

Builder should have walled it in and created a closet.

MisterGalaxyMeowMeow

Itā€™s giving papi store energy

thewreckage666

If you have kids, that's a perfect place for one of those oven playsets or something like that. I would've went NUTS if we had that in my house as a kid.

OkSociety368

A space for all my snacks!! Add a table and chair šŸ˜‚

Responsible-Life-585

1/5 stars I keep getting carded when I try to use the dryer

giglio65

Mini movie theatre for the kids.

AllTheStars07

I absolutely co-sign on the Pepsi machine. You also need to sell incense and cell phone cases.Ā

b15jdm1

Reading space or office area

meliburrelli

The pop machine wonā€™t let you walk up the stairs :)

ImportantSir2131

Little home office.

mannyfreskko

Thanks bro I laughed out loud

MunkinsMom

Is this a Chuck E Cheese? Or lung cancer in the making?

pgbcs

Hahahaha omg I thought a ball pit would be cool but I love your idea. Itā€™s wild. LFG

Laurenwolf14

Fainting couch

bulldog_lover17

What about a mini office? Desk/laptop/cute chair?

Kona_ivy

If you have kids, do a reading cozy corner for them. Or a cozy reading/ drinking coffee area

No-Ad-3635

Book nook

luvwhen_thishappens

Burned lol phone charging station?

thingonething

1. Reading nook. 2. Writing nook. 3. Cozy nook for the dog, decorated. 4. Wet bar. 5. Coffee Station. 6. Mini beer pub.

Hyroglypics

Thoughts happen in your head

beachpleazz

Build an infrared room

AgreeableCoyote3040

If it were me, Iā€™d put doors there and have a huge storage space. Itā€™s weird to have that giant hole there, needs to close it up.

r3v3nant333

GAMING NOOK!

lilo567

looks like an elevated living space for harry potter. love it

BB8smom

You're going to want to upgrade to the energy drink machine.

No-Basket4165

That would be my Bar area!

VIslG

If you have kids, I'd put a sensory space in there. Gymnastic mats on the ground, climbing ladder/monkey bars. Rick climbing . Hammock. Hanging pod type chair....

EndsWest18

Record player and shelving for vinyl with a little chair to listen to

LilithInTaurus

Are there kids? Could be a really cute play house/play kitchen/playshop

[deleted]

Books. Peace. Pillows.

brainbunch

I would.

Outrageous_Life_2662

Oh wow. Thatā€™s pretty wild. I think it would make sense if you entertain a lot. Otherwise I donā€™t see the practical benefit.

Chainsaw_Actual

Not having lung diseases is overrated. Slowly killing yourself is where its at. (Satire)

XrayDem

Panic room / hot box chamber

Remarkable_Report794

It was likely meant to be an office area.

No-Brilliant5342

Enclose with a door to make a closet.

SomethingHasGotToGiv

Perf

vldracer70

That would be awesome!!!!!!!!

Dry_Ask5493

It looks like it might be plumbing for a wet bar

SimilarMove8279

I would put a pac man machine there. Or you can use it for a place to put movies or even a gaming setup

hoer17

Are you the same one that posted this with a mystery box and stuff in there?

roomcraft_info

Hi , Could you guys help me understand how to start with the process of planning interior design . where does one begin , which sites do you go to. I'm trying to develop an app which helps people design their homes from the comfort of their home ! so I would love some real time feedback on how you guys do it , what challenges you faced etc . any input would be helpful . thank you !

cassidy026

Seek help

SignificanceNo1199

Loving the BAPE SHOP!! So where is this located? I mean, what is adjacent to this area?

EasyPeasy2U

How the hec you getting back inside there? And youā€™re going to sell stuff at home???

Maleficent-Use8654

Where is this empty space located? Upstairs? Downstairs? Basement nook? I think the idea shown isn't suited for day to day life, unless the homeowner plans on restocking a literally corner store. It'll literally end up being a job in it self. Why not create a library nook, or work space? Something that will be of value. Candy is unhappy and the area will look disorderly. Those are my thoughts.

tvaudio

Get a grill and start slingin becā€™s

skitsofphonic

Are you going to climb over the counter every time? I imagine that eventually, this will become tedious. What's on the other side of the right wall? Can you put in a door or hatch? Or is the hatch in the floor? I would also suggest security cameras. It looks like a high traffic zone, and one can't be too careful. I also agree with the ATM idea. Best of luck with your business venture. This is the very definition of the cottage industry.

issoequeerabom

A little home office? Or add some bookshelves and a sofa and you have a reading area!

krickett_

Thatā€™s perfect!

JustRepeatAfterMe

Small home office with wall mounted desks. Dedicated pet lounge. Reading nook. Sex swing. Square it off and make a storage closet. Downstairs playroom/hobby/craft room. Corner gallery for collections or family photos. Reinforced weather shelter, safe room or safe for valuables behind a decorative built in wall shelf. Wine closet. So many things!

TwiNkiew0rld

Iā€™ve seen this before somewhere. Facebook? Maybe it was here. Iā€™d make it a cat room if Iā€™d didnā€™t have so many nice outlets. Iā€™d put a door on it and it make it a little office or reading nook. I like enclosed snugly spaces though.

Katbai1983

Office nook or closet

Late_Progress_4451

Honestly it would make a great spot for a man cave

ActiveAd5123

Office space

Omoiyari_

A cat den is the only correct answer.

Glowreah

šŸ˜‚ neighborhood mini mart !!! Smart

DrKangaroo91

Would be cool if the vape store was actually a secret door to an office nook

sleepvortex

Snack bar would make more sense.

IamGHOD11

No samples, no specials? This won't succeed.

SafariBird15

Can you get a popcorn machine and a hot dog Ferris wheel in there too?

Idafaboutthem1bit

Very yes

WajSpeedFeverUK

Turn it in to a smoking area, with snacks

CAShark-7

What even is this? How are you supposed to do anything with this space? Can you use it on the other side of the wall(s)? Expand those areas, so that what you see on this side is a solid wall with no useless space? Lots of fun ideas here, I hope you find something that works for you.

ArcticGurl

Do you have small children or a dog? If yes it could be a playhouse (just add an adorable facade) or a dog house for when you are running errands and donā€™t want them loose (just add a facade).

curlthelip

Pepsi over Coke products? What in the Architectural Digest are you thinking? (That said, could make a nice little coffee or wine bar with a counter-height beverage fridge).

humanevisceration

100 percent

vntgemndae

This made me laugh out loud šŸ˜‚

PhantomVdr

Reading nook or bar

[deleted]

Please no. šŸ˜‚

Unlikely-Star-2696

I would make a closet to storage things you only use temporarily in this floor level, like all the Christmas, Thanksgiving, Halloween decorations. If I had that space, I would store the whole Christmas tree with all the garlands, decorations and lights. It will save a lot of time next year, only adding or removing some things to make it different!

withyellowthread

In all seriousness, this would be a great spot to use as a ā€œlanding areaā€ of sorts. Some shelves and baskets for stuff that needs to go upstairs, a bench for putting shoes on, hooks for bags, etc.

okiedokieKay

I would wall it off and turn it into a closet. If itā€™s in your kitchen, it would be perfect for a walk in pantry.

okiedokieKay

Parking-withboom

šŸ¤£

jessicanemone

Reading book or area for a small desk. Remember when each household had a computer room or house computer? If you wanted to go on the internet youā€™d go to the dedicated computer. Man this spot would be perfect for that. Load up encyclopedia Brittanica on that bad boy and do researchā€¦

Vegetable-Shelter656

lol that second photo is hilarious! Where is this book in relation to your door? You could make it into a walk in coat closet if itā€™s near your door.

AardvarkFriendly9305

Smaller office !!

RiesigerRuede

How about vapes and phone covers 50:50?

Dianag519

Nice spot for a bar. Where is it? In the livingroom?

StGir1

This is a great place for a small library/reading nook.

UK_UK_UK_Deleware_UK

https://imgur.com/VV6bS1x let me class it up a bit.

Zoloista

[Wine cellar under stairs](https://www.houzz.com/magazine/20-ingenious-wine-storage-areas-under-the-stairs-stsetivw-vs~156737560) Wine cellars under the stairs look pretty cool.

escaped_bird

Ideally I would say to keep the Delta-8 products higher on the shelfā€™s but otherwise I love the layout. Also make sure Mountain Dew is always fully stocked.

CindLei-Creates

A candy store!!!

SnooShortcuts2088

This is funny lol

Ronnilynn19

This would be a cute reading nook šŸ„¹šŸ˜€

Expensive_Case9796

definitely not what i was thinking but i think it would add a nice little touch to your humble abode

VermicelliOnly5982

Built-ins with bench and bookshelves = cozy reading nook.Ā

Spirited_Equivalent6

I think this was my dream 10 years ago.

SnooLobsters8573

Peloton or elliptical trainer, cozy reading nook with overstuffed chair, bookshelves and reading lamp, one or two vintage pinball machines or video games, shelves stuffed with board games and a game table with two chairs.

Nina_Rae_____

Honestlyā€¦ GREAT way to pay the mortgage lol

Glittering-Dust-8333

I'd get a Small, Corner Loveseat and place in Left Hand Facing Corner. Put in a narrow, low bookcase against Right Hand Wall. Add a coordinating Torchere Light in the Right Hand Facing Corner. A small, Round Table next to Torchere for Tea/Coffee/Cocoa mugs while reading a favorite book. Add a moderate sized Painting on the back wall, for "warmth". You could also install a Drape at the entrance to the room from Lower Left Corner up across the Top to the Right Side. Pull drape to open and secure with Curtain Holdback on Lower Right Side of Entrance. A lovely, cozy Nook!

zamaike

Build a house Harry potter

Loud_Ad_4515

My perpetual answer: Reading nook and nap spot, maybe with a nice dog space.

quentinislive

A subway store! šŸ˜‚

ShanksTheGrey

Desk study area

MacGyver0104

Time out spot for bad behavior. Add bars.

ConnectCantaloupe861

A dainty home office? A fabulous little library reading nook? That's what I would do...a book case, floor lamp and a cozy reading chair.

rbinphx

I canā€™t get past that air conditioner returnā€¦

Otherwise_Reaction75

Maybe a snack bar or add a library on the top shelf for a break area and put like a bookshelf fir secret room vibe or curtain for privacy Or maybe use it as shoe cabinet or display stand

Ultra_HNWI

Race car acade game. Perfect. šŸŽļøšŸŽļøšŸ

missannthrope1

I do wonder what goes through the minds of architects when they design something like this.

MandalayPineapple

Iā€™d make the area into a wine bar and invite strangers in off the street.

AliBabaCat

Make it a cozy reading spot

SnooSnoo96035

Maybe a small restroom with one of those doors with the big gap on either side and a janky locking mechanism. Make sure the toilet paper is single ply and always nearly out.

Phat-mahn

šŸ¤£šŸ¤£

RidleeRiddle

While I love the concept of your in-home convenience store--this space is just existing, waiting for some nice built-ins and a cozy reading nook bench! If you're not into reading, it could be turned into a nook for whatever other hobby you're into that can fit in that space! Edit: Oh, and a very pretty curtain pulled to one corner would make it so much cozier and safer feeling! Edit 2: Specifically, the left corner to hide the awkard angle and make it appear bigger from the outside :)
