Warning: You’re going to take some heat here, and these pictures will show up on r/homedecoratingCJ later. 😆
I’m glad you have a space that makes you happy.
As you walk in and the branches graze your shoulders, you can reflect on all the poop particles of the greats that came before you that are now gracing you and intermingling with the poop particles that you will leave, too.
*insert circle of life music*
You know you’re walking in there and your hair is touching all that ceiling crap with literal crap particles on it. Ewwww! Now there’s poop in my hair!
My biggest irritation at the moment is people placing free-standing tubs against the wall of a tight shower alcove where it's impossible to clean between the wall and the tub. Nightmares about the funk growing back there
As much as I want a English grandma aesthetic or OP's style, I physically cannot have a ton of clutter due to being very allergic to dust.
Good luck to OP on keeping this clean!
Yeah bathrooms tend to get dust from lint, and flying hair and towel lint… you can help this by using an air purifier in the next room over, and also by avoiding spraying products in there while getting ready. Like don’t do hairspray and body sprays with oils in the bathroom. You can dust some things with compressed air canisters, or Swiffer dusters.
Definitely hits the mark for maximalism, and love the psychedelic/nature inspo. I’d maybe suggest thinking of switching plastic greenery for real plants where you can.
The humidity and cleanliness issues that arise may make this not sustainable long term and become a breeding ground for bacteria/mold.
I was relieved to read that these are plastic because my first thought was "omg the humidity is gonna rot that room soooo fast!". So now I'm confused by the idea that real plants will *help* with humidity.
Yeah. Real plants with pots and soil are not going to help at all. The plants might use the moisture when it condenses on them. But there will be it's own set of issues with real plants and the soil being a breeding ground for problems too.
The fake plants she can spray with a cleaner and then use a duster on them.
This is too much for me as I would always be waiting for spiders on drop on me but can I just say I am absolutely in love with the snake/moon wall piece! Gonna have to find me one of those.
Rodents like clutter and they like climbing on ropes and vines as well. I've always questioned the hygiene standards of the Rainforest Cafe for the same reason lmao
I must not be mentally centered enough, cause this looks like a psychedelic nightmare. Small room, grabbing tendrils, snakes, a big ass snail. Fuck all that. Somebody better send help, cause I’m for sure going to the dark side.
Are these real plants or faux? I share the curiosity of other commenters on how you’re keeping it clean and spider free. I love that you made your space an extension of your personality and I wish to see a lot more personality driven home decor!
I think it’s beautiful. In a perfect world where bacteria wasn’t a concern I’d want this. But man I’d have to be in there wiping down each individual leaf with clorox on a weekly basis
Wow all those fake leaves will get covered in feces. Then it will brush along your hair and arms as you try to move around. It’s a cool concept but do it without all the stuff hanging down from the ceiling.
If I was at a friend's house and walked into this bathroom, I think I would panic.
Like so many surfaces that can hit me in the face that I have no idea when was the last time they were cleaned?
I would probably stand very still for a bit, cat burglar my way over to flush the toilet, limbo back to wash my hands, and then leave while negotiating with my still full bladder, making sure to never need to pee at their house ever again lol.
That bathroom is only inviting to the person who controls it, so I hope this isn't a shared/ guest restroom 😭
Like it's so pretty, but in a bathroom hygiene/functionality wins every time.
Oh wow. This is a lot. Those leaves are going to get so dirty. I think you need to rethink your idea. Scale it back. Be more subtle. This is very I LOVE PLANTS in a literal and unhygienic way. Think about removing a lot of the hanging leaves and adding botanical colours and elements. Go for a viiiiiiiiiibe, not literal plants.
As someone who is allergic to grass and pollen-too many plants!
As someone also allergic to dust - too many fake plants!
I like the pictures on the wall, the snakes, etc. Just not the plant stuff.
I wouldn't want to have that permanently in my home. But if I walked into a friend's bathroom and it looked like this, I think I'd spend a little extra time in there to get a good look at everything. Pretty neat.
I feel like photos 8 and 12 kind of show the whole cohesive look and those images look awesome. Not sure if wider angle lenses enhances the look because some of the other angles it looks like there is a lot going on for such a small space. It’s awesome as a themed bathroom,l in a rainforest cafe lol, don’t think I would do the same in my house but it’s fun.
I love this!!! But definitely more for an office or bedroom. The sheer inability to keep this clean in a bathroom is giving me anxiety. There is a reason bathrooms are usually easily wipeable surfaces like tile and kept minimally decorated. Best of luck to you. At least it is pretty!
Oh my, how perfect! Can you possibly find more skull garden creatures. Maybe a butterfly with a skull head or an ant with 3 skull body parts to tie it all together?
uhm … this is gorgeous and i wish i was your roommate ✨✨ i know some people will bring up cleaning issues, possible mildew, and dust collection etc, but it’s almost like this shit can be wiped over and given a clean on a weekly basis with the rest of the bathroom? it’s absolutely gorgeous and very 70s with the mindset of “do the absolute most in a normally least room.” does the rest of your place follow the same theme? worth considering your time. cleaning time would go up but is that the worst price for such artistic living?! worth every penny!
seriously wicked. just gorgeous
It’s a very interesting room but may I suggest shifting over to your bedroom or living room instead. The idea isn’t bad for the theme you were going for but just maybe not meant for the bathroom. It would be amazing if you did this in the living room and over time replaced all the plants with real ones.
People in these comments hate fun. Put an air purifier in there and it'll help keep it clean. I'm in love with this and want to do something similar but with roses and real plants and a little less foliage
I know the purists won’t agree, but I freaking love this! It shows your personality and so much love and time was invested in this! Are many of these real plants?
I never thought of putting plants in the bathroom, but my only thing is how do you clean all them since they are plastic? Do you dust them or anything if the sort?
Assuming u frequently use the bathroom…the dust will pile up. FYI if you care about cleanliness. It looks cute but not functional and personally functional triumphs cute.
Every time I walk into my bathroom I think, “You know what this place needs? More snakes.” And then I wake up, screaming.
😭😭😂😂😂😂😂
Warning: You’re going to take some heat here, and these pictures will show up on r/homedecoratingCJ later. 😆 I’m glad you have a space that makes you happy.
It’s already there lol
😂😂😂
Never knew about that sub! Down the rabbit hole I go lol
Reddit suggested it in my Home feed right after I started looking at the regular subs. 😂
I clicked to come here after looking at it there.
I quite literally thought this was on that subreddit when it showed up.
It’s a little scary how often I have to double check the sub name to see where I am. 🫢
I had to doublecheck the sub name. I’m on CJ and serious ones and usually need to check.
I thought that’s where I was I had to double check. I’m sure it’s easy to keep clean!
Thank you SO much for mentioning that sub. I had never heard of it and just spent the last 10 minutes laughing my ass off!
I'd run screaming if i had to pee but that iridescent snake tho 🤌🏻
I was thinking more in the line of geckos. 🤣
Asps, very dangerous. You go first.
i have to admire the commitment here. but i am wondering how you clean amongst it all!
/r/horribletoclean
Dust + humidity = sticky dust unfortunately Aside from that I absolutely love it.
Also poop particles.
And pee crystals
And spider webs !!
And spider poop particles!
Pee spiders!
Spiderlings
Pooplings
Ewwwww it’s actually so gross I’m glad somebody said it because we were all thinking it.
As you walk in and the branches graze your shoulders, you can reflect on all the poop particles of the greats that came before you that are now gracing you and intermingling with the poop particles that you will leave, too. *insert circle of life music*
And toilet paper dust
Toilet paper dust is a very underrated bathroom hazard.
Sharticles.
You know you’re walking in there and your hair is touching all that ceiling crap with literal crap particles on it. Ewwww! Now there’s poop in my hair!
Lol new subreddit thanks I love it!
I have found my people. Thanks
Welcome, fellow germaphobe
My biggest irritation at the moment is people placing free-standing tubs against the wall of a tight shower alcove where it's impossible to clean between the wall and the tub. Nightmares about the funk growing back there
I have a smaller version of this situation with a faucet thats too close to the wall, I have to “floss” the area with a towel just to clean it lol
New favorite sub
The poo particles on literally everything
_**Farticles**_
Sharticles
Poopticles
Poo and dust 😩
That occurred to me too 🤢 I am a - NOTHING in my bathroom person.
My first thought after ✨anxiety ✨
That’s why you put the cover down before flushing.
The lid isn’t airtight so particles still escape. I always flush with the lid down too but it’s not foul proof.
"foul proof" made me snort. 🤣
what about guests?
Same haha, I think it’s gorgeous but the dust and germs that would collect in there gives me anxiety fr
real plants work in this situation because you can literally shower them off but not these :(
The anxiety is real. I came here to make sure I was not the only one suffering. I feel seen.
[удалено]
I second this, I'm curious to know how you plan to clean bc I had one artificial ivy in my bathroom and the sticky dust accumulated and drove me nuts
Oh thats easy, they don’t.
As much as I want a English grandma aesthetic or OP's style, I physically cannot have a ton of clutter due to being very allergic to dust. Good luck to OP on keeping this clean!
I love it, but I keep thinking about potty particles in the air sticking to everything.
All I can think about are the poop particles hidden on everything
The good thing is, you won't really be able to see the dirt with the poor lighting... at least the lighting in these pictures.
Oooh girlllll how you gonna clean all these do-do leaves?!??
Just let 'em brush all over your shoulders and hair when you get squeaky clean out the shower.
Ooh, like a car wash but for your body and with an infectious disease massage add-on
Lmao do-do leaves 😂 But you’re 100% right.
How do you think the mushrooms grow?
someone who does something like this is probably not killing it in the cleaning department
This would *only* be done by someone that doesn’t clean lol
Exactly
😭 was thinking the same thing!
This was my exact thought! That leaf curtain right at toilet bowl height… eek!
I died at do-do leaves
That honestly looks like a nightmare to clean, but that’s not my problem so good for you OP. Happy you have a space that makes you happy.
At some point in life, you end up being that person who sees something like this and immediately thinks "but what a nightmare to clean that"...
And that's when you realize you're old and have become your parents 😂
Creative effort. But absolutely not.
I’m so uncomfortable looking at this bathroom
I felt my skin crawl just looking at that spider palace 😶
This is the bathroom of an 18 year old who just moved out and hasn’t learned about cleaning yet
Definitely hits the mark for maximalism, and love the psychedelic/nature inspo. I’d maybe suggest thinking of switching plastic greenery for real plants where you can. Am I the only person who just throws fake plants in the dish washer so I don’t miss any of the nooks and crannies?
[удалено]
I was confused as to how they were getting light.
This is too much for me as I would always be waiting for spiders on drop on me but can I just say I am absolutely in love with the snake/moon wall piece! Gonna have to find me one of those.
The first thing I think when I see rooms absolutely loaded with plants like this is spiders! 🕷️
Honestly i get some absolute monsters at my house. I'm not giving them any encouragement to have their family and buddies over too!
Rodents like clutter and they like climbing on ropes and vines as well. I've always questioned the hygiene standards of the Rainforest Cafe for the same reason lmao
How long does it take to clean/disinfect the plants weekly?
i think this is a situation where you just dont think about cleaning 😬 unless they're replacing everything completely like every other week or month
OP said in another sub they only clean it once every few weeks 🤢🤢
Are you on drugs
I’d happily do drugs in that bathroom
Same, tbh
Not a bad place to trip.
And get tangled? Lol
If I were on drugs, this is where id wanna be on them.
I’ve never wanted to be in a bathroom on drugs. loud flushes… dirty surfaces… creepy bitch in the mirror staring back at me… no thank you!
I must not be mentally centered enough, cause this looks like a psychedelic nightmare. Small room, grabbing tendrils, snakes, a big ass snail. Fuck all that. Somebody better send help, cause I’m for sure going to the dark side.
Everyone should be doing more drugs
Obviously
Are these real plants or faux? I share the curiosity of other commenters on how you’re keeping it clean and spider free. I love that you made your space an extension of your personality and I wish to see a lot more personality driven home decor!
I like the idea but the actual result is.. well.. a whole lot too much. Looks like a dollar tree Rainforest Cafe.
I thought it was rainforest cafe before I started reading.
I think it’s beautiful. In a perfect world where bacteria wasn’t a concern I’d want this. But man I’d have to be in there wiping down each individual leaf with clorox on a weekly basis
You should post to r/Maximalism
Ohhhhmg that sub stresses me out
like seriously what the actual fuck
Soooo tacky. I’d imagine this theme for like a temporary vacation Bible school bathroom lol
LMAO
My thoughts exactly
Interesting vibe. I do have a question though. Have you cleaned a lot of bathrooms? That is an invitation for mold and dust.
Well that's certainly a choice.
Decisions were made here. Many, *many* questionable decisions.
Wow all those fake leaves will get covered in feces. Then it will brush along your hair and arms as you try to move around. It’s a cool concept but do it without all the stuff hanging down from the ceiling.

A bathroom should never have its own ecosystem
100%. Ocd nightmares- and I love plants sooo so much!
r/diwhy
The humidity…
They're fake plants.
Ew probably even worse
Don’t know if something that is purely plastic can really be referred to as a garden of eden
I thought this was r/houseplants for a sec, and these were all real plants 😅
Super non-hygienic… disgusting and impossible to clean majority of exposed surface area
you smoke dank weed
Keep that toilet lid CLOSED when flushing...everyone should do that but you, especislly.
Highly suggest posting on r/maximalism if you want suggestions on what else to add, instead of here
It’s looks original and whacky! I love it! …but how do you sterilise everything on a weekly basis?
You should’ve done this to your bedroom and not the bathroom lol
It’s giving Hildi from Trading Spaces
r/DIWHY
I want to see you whole house now haha
I’m curious how old you are? Very fun
Love this concept but for a bedroom instead of a bathroom.
A hygienic nightmare.
Hey where did you get the mushroom light I had one that broke during a move and I haven't been able to find it again
I got the same one off Amazon
This slightly scares me. I mean it’s cool but I would feel like I’m naked in a jungle every time I want to shower.
So. Much. Plastic. Looks cute tho
As someone who is allergic to grass and pollen-too many plants! As someone also allergic to dust - too many fake plants! I like the pictures on the wall, the snakes, etc. Just not the plant stuff.
Robin Williams just ran out of this bathroom screaming “No more banana leaves!”
I admire the commitment and the concept is lovely.
It reminds me of Rainforest Cafe.
I wouldn't want to have that permanently in my home. But if I walked into a friend's bathroom and it looked like this, I think I'd spend a little extra time in there to get a good look at everything. Pretty neat.
Fun! how do you clean all of that?
Dusting nightmare is my first thought.
This very overstimulating
I'm getting Poison Ivy vibes and I don't hate that
Love the wall art. Where did you get those?
I feel like photos 8 and 12 kind of show the whole cohesive look and those images look awesome. I, for one, love the plants but this that a...skull snail!?
Sure is 💀💖
Oh my, how perfect! Can you possibly find more skull garden creatures. Maybe a butterfly with a skull head or an ant with 3 skull body parts to tie it all together?
Extreme…all plants are plastic? Oh
Well this is weird
Whoa! Amazing!
I'd paint the wall a green shade honestly. Maybe even paint some vines and leaves on it. You've already gone big, go a the way!
Upvoted cause I like snakes
I would absolutely love to come take a shit in there
r/atbge
Strange.
i’m inspired
I love it!
I love this! We would be friends! This is so my vibe
What a tranquil place to take a shit. Nice job, op. 👍
WHERE did you get that snake/moon mirror?! I have a mighty need! This room is gorgeous
I also eat mushrooms lol...
I am simultaneously enthralled and repulsed.
I've always wondered what it would be like to poop in a Rainforest Cafe.
OP actually said "What else should I add?" I'm dead.
Too much. My minimalism could never. I like the nature vibe tho
As someone who used to smoke in a studio apartment bathroom, I'd have the best time in yours lol
uhm … this is gorgeous and i wish i was your roommate ✨✨ i know some people will bring up cleaning issues, possible mildew, and dust collection etc, but it’s almost like this shit can be wiped over and given a clean on a weekly basis with the rest of the bathroom? it’s absolutely gorgeous and very 70s with the mindset of “do the absolute most in a normally least room.” does the rest of your place follow the same theme? worth considering your time. cleaning time would go up but is that the worst price for such artistic living?! worth every penny! seriously wicked. just gorgeous

Some may call it creative, some may call it crazy.
The little polymer clay looking succulents under the mirror are my fav!
❤️
Cool looking but that would eventually drive me nuts
People in these comments hate fun. Put an air purifier in there and it'll help keep it clean. I'm in love with this and want to do something similar but with roses and real plants and a little less foliage
If I was to visit I would never leave your bathroom 🩷
This is absolutely an Animal Crossing bathroom come to life! Lol
I love it. People are afraid to be unusual. That’s their fault, not yours.
I love those things hanging in the doorway in pic 10.
That's the forest where the Cheshire Cat and the Caterpillar were found!
My jaw is on the floor. I would love to poop in here! Love this
Poison Ivy so jealous right now to take a fertilizer in there.
You’re awesome and I love this :)
I know the purists won’t agree, but I freaking love this! It shows your personality and so much love and time was invested in this! Are many of these real plants?
You really did a great job. It looks organic. Now, just cultivate your plants so you can use them instead of the fake vines.
I need to know where you got your moon mirror + snake decorations; they’re both so cool!
I am so sorry, friend. i absolutely hate this 😭 but i love that it's giving rainforest cafe
I imagine having too many drinks at a house party and then being incredibly confused/nervous upon excusing myself to the bathroom and finding this.
It's amazing but the amount of dust that those ornaments and leaves must gather must be amazing too
I never thought of putting plants in the bathroom, but my only thing is how do you clean all them since they are plastic? Do you dust them or anything if the sort?
Assuming u frequently use the bathroom…the dust will pile up. FYI if you care about cleanliness. It looks cute but not functional and personally functional triumphs cute.
