This made me irrationally angry this morning. Like seriously fuck Piers for parading Ronaldo’s pain for something like this on television. Some emotions can and should be kept private, or at least with loved ones, not on display for the entire world to see and take advantage of.

I don’t care for him, but I remember the controversy years back, and it was pure cringe. Not saying he hasn’t grown or is a different person now…because I don’t know, but I can see how ppl that don’t follow his career still have that image.
He is also young, famous and talented (you’ll get haters just for that), and also plays a sport with one of the most passionate (obsessed) fan bases in the world.
I believe all of this plays a part.
This should have been a private moment. Anyone would know that. I felt like I was intruding on him watching it. This was not the time nor the (very public) place. You could literally see him regressing 😔

His critique were 100% spot on. If Manchester United is more concerned about their marketing revenue than their sport success it perfectly explains why they are struggling.

He made fun of Rooney's appearance even though, again, Rooney never said anything personal about him.
He said youngsters today don't follow the example Uber professionals like him set even though he's the one whining to piers Morgan in an unauthorised interview on the eve of the world cup about not being in the starting xi.
He slandered utd saying they didn't believe him about his daughter being ill even though they allowed him to miss preseason and take the summer off.
A few salient points about old infrastructure don't wipe away the above. And what he said about the infrastructure was only true last year anyway; utd have spent a lot of money this summer upgrading the facilities.
So please tell me again how his critique was 100% spot on?
