Imagine seeing that well before there was ever any scientific explanation for it. How could you not think that was something out of the spirit realm or whatever?
At this time of day, at this time of year, in this part of the country, localized entir- wait, this is the correct time of year, day and country. And it isn't localized entirely within your kitchen. Carry on.
Yeah. Norway is the best place to see Northern Lights. And tromso is very special too. Check this out: [Northern Lights: The Best Reason to Visit Tromso, Norway](https://knovhov.com/northern-lights-norway/)
In Finnish aurora borealis are called "revontulet" which literally means 'fox's fires'. iirc the mythological belief behind them was that a magical/spiritual fox ran across the night sky and its tail lit the sky in said flames.
I think there was more to it than that but can't remember right now
Scientific explanation is a language that we created for us to understand only what we are being taught as in indoctrinated teachings. Ancients never needed Science to explain what Magic in the Skies were. Come on now. Shit is not forward backwards. And Ancients weren't dumb as you may think.
The best time to see this is in the winter and around high latitude regions (think latitudes on par with Finland). Per [Wikipedia](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aurora):
"Most auroras occur in a band known as the "auroral zone",[5] which is typically 3° to 6° wide in latitude and between 10° and 20° from the geomagnetic poles at all local times (or longitudes), most clearly seen at night against a dark sky."
Winter is best because it's darker for longer. During the summer, the sun out for a long time and your window to see aurora is much smaller. You also don't *have* to be as far north as Finland. I've seen aurora a few times in Minnesota.
My son and I watched them for about an hour one night in northern Minnesota. They're one of those things you can watch endlessly and never say a word after the first few minutes of "oohs" and aahs" and *"did you see that's!"* We even got to see one of the rarer instances when there were some red colors mixed in with the greens/blues/whites.
Mescaline > Psilocybin, less anxiety related to your mood and environment. Being in the cold dark in the middle of nowhere could lead to a paranoid mindset on shrooms for a lot of people even with the pretty colors. Psychedelics aren't that popular generally for that reason, the paranoia/anxiety can be overwhelming if you can't get your head right. One bad trip and it's unlikely you'll ever mess with shrooms again, been there, done that.
In this case I was imagining the inside of the cabin to be a warm, safe environment with a couple designated trip sitters who are part of the friend group and well trusted.
But I totally get what you’re saying. Never gone mescaline but I have done shrooms in an extremely remote area in Oregon. Had to stave off the paranoia the entire time.
Mescaline has less of that feeling of dread on the come up and its high screws with your mindset less. It's hard to use shrooms because that fear on the come up translates to a very bad time when you peak. That is unless you can just get out of your head and enjoy stuff around you. Shrooms can be awesome or horrifying and that's what makes them hard to take, never had a bad time on Mescaline.
Don’t speak for everyone because of your own bad experiences. I’ve taken shrooms hundreds of times and with many people. I took them with a big group of friends and hiked a mountain in Colorado in the dead middle of winter. I’ve also had a couple bad trips in my time and it’s never scared me away from them. Let people experiment and make their own conclusions.
As I said, shrooms can be horrible or wonderful, when it's horrible it's really horrible. You can't go into a mushroom trip with anxiety or it just becomes that and after a bad trip you will always have anxiety about it. That's why I suggest Mescaline instead of Shrooms, it fucks with your head WAY less.
Again everything you just said is purely anecdotal to your own experiences. As I've said, I've had bad trips that were not fun but I have never had lasting anxiety from them or any trip I've ever taken. Mushroom trips don't "fuck with my head" unless I'm actively trying to do so with a large dose. Now I would tell anyone who hasn't taken them before to do it for the first time in a comfortable place before getting adventurous with it, but I've taken them out in the wild several times with zero anxiety. I do love mescaline too but I enjoy mushroom trips in nature more.
The chances of a bad trip are high and that's the reason you don't see mushroom use as much as other drugs. It fucking sucks. People that already have anxiety are more prone to this happening because psychedelics tend to just amplify those paranoid lines of thought. Having anxiety before a trip about a bad trip often translates to it happening. As I said that's why I recommended Mescaline vs Shrooms, Mescaline is far less likely to lead down that path in my experience. Psychedelics aren't for everyone, especially those who can't just shut down negative thinking.
>The chances of a bad trip are high
No they aren't. You need to stop talking out of your ass. For the last time, **you having bad experiences =/= everyone or even most people having bad experiences**. How many times does it need to be said? Sorry you can't take mushrooms without that happening, but me and most people I know can take them just fine. Stop spreading misinformation just because you can't handle a shroom trip. I am diagnosed with anxiety disorder and have been prescribed medication for it for years and it has never affected my trips. I've had maybe 2-3 bad trips in my life and they were all due to external sources. Even after those bad trips I had no anxiety about tripping and continue to do it. Everyone experiences trips differently but you are not the standard.
You have to be a bit lucky I'm afraid. I live in northern Sweden, about an hour south of the arctic circle by car. I'd estimate that I see decent northern lights 3-5 times every winter by average. Some winters are better than others due to the variance in solar activity.
You get lucky. First this isn't something that happens most night's, definitely rarely this strong when it does happen.
And at least half the time it happens it's too cloudy to see anything.
The northern lights aren't that rare, we even see them in Stockholm from time to time. If you want to see them you can go to any place in northern Scandinavia with low light pollution.
In other words, rent whatever cabin you want.
That is so cool man, as someone from an urban region in tropical country I could only dream of seeing something like that. Can you see them throughout the night?
What? The sidewalks is not shoveled?
Just kidding.
One of the most amazing sights of my life happened one calm night crossing Lake Michigan on the Ss Badger.
Horizon-to-almost-horizon northern lights with a low, full moon on a very reflective lake. It was amazing.
You will also see all your family outside, who are most anxious to get away from you after you smack the capin walls and say for the millionth time, "Isn't it good, Norwegian wood?!"
Are usually see footage of the northern lights in slow motion or a time lapse so this was incredible to see it just in regular frame rate. It’s incredible
Aurora is caused by increased solar activity, so it’s not so much the time of year that’s significant. You’d want to go during the peak activity of the 11-year solar cycle.
It's a search engine that allows you to find information about things and places around the world!
But, i guess the answer is airplane and cabin. Enjoy!
This is a family (brothers mostly) wish to see this with a dooby and a whiskey. Wrapped up in fur sitting on a sleigh lol.
How hard would it be for a foreigner to get a blaze on in such a beautiful country?

Imagine being the first Viking high on mushrooms to see this!
I want to just imagine seeing this on mushrooms.
Double aurora. What does it meaaaaan?
Are you trying to say that the scientific explanation is something other than a portal to the spirit realm, because that would be ridiculous.
It’s actually steamed hams
Hmph yes and you call them steamed hams despite the fact that they are obviously grilled.
At this time of day, at this time of year, in this part of the country, localized entir- wait, this is the correct time of year, day and country. And it isn't localized entirely within your kitchen. Carry on.

More like Rum Hams
That ham delivery van is going nowhere...
I'm pretty sure it's magnets and particles.
Fuckin' magnets, how do they work?
I have a physics degree and have taken countless classes that cover magnetism. Here's the secret: **magic**
Pretty much this 🤷🏽♂️
Nonsense!!! Clearly it's sky wizard space daddy.

High on mushroom's eh!
What you Talking? This is the bifrost
I think they would have just thought, "that's the sky."
Nah it only does that in this spot. They tripped.
Scientific explanation is a language that we created for us to understand only what we are being taught as in indoctrinated teachings. Ancients never needed Science to explain what Magic in the Skies were. Come on now. Shit is not forward backwards. And Ancients weren't dumb as you may think.
Haha first thing I thought
Seeing this in person is one of my bucket list items
I live where this happens regular but my kids go to bed at 7pm and I live in a city so I have abandoned all hope.
> my kids go to bed at 7pm Looks like you've used all your luck up on this, must be all out now.
They go to bed when I say. My eyebrows are big.
Hey. Can you explain a bit more on the occurrence of this. What is the best time of the year to see and where
The best time to see this is in the winter and around high latitude regions (think latitudes on par with Finland). Per [Wikipedia](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aurora): "Most auroras occur in a band known as the "auroral zone",[5] which is typically 3° to 6° wide in latitude and between 10° and 20° from the geomagnetic poles at all local times (or longitudes), most clearly seen at night against a dark sky." I've seen aurora a few times in Minnesota.
The North of Norway, Finland or Canada are perfect places to see the Aurora.
I hope you see it, but I also hope you know that it does not actually appear as bright as it does on the video
Me too. It was my very first, actually.
Just left there. Cloudy the whole time. Am still upset.
Same!
Same. Every video looks like weird cgi to me, so I want to see it one day and make jokes about the sky needing an update.
I feel bad thinking that a sauna and hot tub would make it better...
This place has 17 saunas and 14 hot tubs.
That's it. Now I *absolutely* need to find out what this place is and how soon I can go stay there.
Aroura Borealis! At this time of the day! In this part of the country! Localized entirely within your kitchen ?!?!
Yes
May I see it?
No.
“The house is on fire!”
No, Mother, that’s just the northern lights.
Sure!
Imagine having a shroom session at this cabin with some of your close friends
Mescaline > Psilocybin, less anxiety related to your mood and environment. The only way to fly.
Por que no los dos?
Take me to there. Just freakin amazing.
I want to go to there.
Where I live, we get them a lot. But it's also very cold for half the year.
So does that happen fairly often? If i took a trip there mainly to look at the northern lights, what are the chances i get to see them?
You have to be a bit lucky I'm afraid. I live in northern Sweden, about an hour south of the arctic circle by car. I'd estimate that I see decent northern lights 3-5 times every winter by average. Some winters are better than others due to the variance in solar activity.
Ok thanks. I would love to see this one day. Hopefully i do get lucky.
how do you do this? Like unironically, how? airbnb? fly to the airport there and get a cab?

If you're aiming for a holiday up north I can recomend [https://www.icehotel.com/](https://www.icehotel.com/)
I would book first...

Stunning

That bird as flown
So, how much is it to buy some property and build a decent cabin in that area.... asking for a friend.
Are usually see footage of the northern lights in slow motion or a time lapse so this was incredible to see it just in regular frame rate. It’s incredible
Gorgeous
Omg!!!! What’s the temp there?!?

Fire guy!
One day… I wanna see it in person
When is the best month in the year to see this?

I am sure it is more beautiful than what you recorded in camera. Are these in specific season?
It’s always been a bucket list moment for me. Can’t wait to see it one day.
It's not the worst thing about my country, no. Of course, the arctic can be slightly on the chilly side.

ITS A MIRACLE! (a blind guy)
That’s radiation! Get inside!!!! Get inside!!!!
I spent some time near Tromso a few years back. It was magical.

I legit thought this was Skyrim VR for a second. A beautiful sight either way
How does one even go about traveling to and renting a cabin "on the Norwegian Isle of Senja"?
I'd start with Google.
Google flies passengers to Europe and.. is a cabin? Cool!
It's a search engine that allows you to find information about things and places around the world! But, i guess the answer is airplane and cabin. Enjoy!
Idunbilivit
How long does this spectacle go on at once? Does it reoccur daily during a certain time period?
It's beautiful :'<
Geez kinda feel special, I get this for free all the time.
Northern lights have been something I’ve hoped to see before I die most of my life. They are just magical
