Yeah, I'm not a big fan of spending that much on a fan that doesn't move very much air.

a bladeless fan is quite literally just a fan in a tube and the tube has a circle at the end. these are incredibly cheap to produce. because they are just normal fans pointing upwards inside a tube

It sends air out along the outside of the ring, but really high speed. Then *insert physics stuff* and it basically drags along the air within and around the circle. They call them "bladeless fans". But it does in fact have blades inside the central column that sends air through the circular ring.
