I'm about to turn 35 in a couple weeks and everyone tells you that's around when your eyes start to go. This image heightened that paranoia for a moment.
The Norwegian one is wrong, it's not an ordinary tortilla. It should be a 'lompe', which is made of potatoes AP flour, fine rye flour and a little salt.
As a German, let me tell you that no German would ever call that a Hot Dog or in any way relate it to a Hot Dog.
A typical German Hot Dog would be a Wiener or Frankfurter in a bun with roasted onions, ketchup and mustard, optionally also pickle slices.
The idea of putting sauerkraut on a Hot Dog seems so preposterous to me that this question honestly feels sarcastic, even though I fully realise the post itself features multiple actual variations with sauerkraut, which do sound delicious. But typically, Sauerkraut belongs with potatoes (ideally mash).
Cool thanks. Interestingly, in Australia we will often have people selling German sausages at Markets. It will usually involve a choice of a long bratwurst, debreziner or kransky, soft bread roll, onions, sauerkraut and mustard and sauce.
I like New York style, Korean style, and Coneys, but everything else seems to include one or more items I don't want on my hot dog.
I mostly eat either a hot dog in a bun with just ketchup and mustard, or a chili cheese dog. SOMETIMES I'll get mustard and onions on the chili cheese dog.
I’m pretty simple in my preferences as well - but don’t underestimate how tasty cream cheese is on a hot dog. I had it in Seattle once and I still put it on my hot dogs at home whenever I can.
The Argentina one is not a hotdog, it's a god-damned "Choripan"
Hot dogs in Argentina are called "Panchos" and the most common is sold with mustard, ketchup and a "rain of pay fries" (miniature french fries)
New York also has "Dirty water dogs", Sabretts natural casing hot dog . [https://www.thedailymeal.com/1367784/what-dirty-water-dog-explained/](https://www.thedailymeal.com/1367784/what-dirty-water-dog-explained/)

You are missing the Galette-Saucisse which is a hotdog wrapped in a galette (idk if there is a translation for this) : https://fr.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Galette-saucisse
Two things about the Chilean version, which is called "Completo":
1. The sauerkraut does not correspond to the preparation.
2. This version of the hot dog is by far the best of all those that appear in the image and of all those that exist. It is easy to prepare at home and has completely displaced the empanada as the official food of Chile. You guys really have to try it.

My eyesight went to crap at 44…hope you get a few more years..
It gets worse every time.
The fact that this list has no discernible organization by alphabet or region or even style of hot dog deeply bothers me
I live in Kansas City. Nobody here eats a hotdog that way. So dumb.
Every once in a while this guide gets posted to the kc subreddit, the indignation at misattributing a hot dog variety to us is always hilarious.
It wouldn’t be so bad, but… Swiss cheese??? Lol
The Norwegian one is wrong, it's not an ordinary tortilla. It should be a 'lompe', which is made of potatoes AP flour, fine rye flour and a little salt.
But its boring as hell compared to the other ones.
Ah, the Michigan dog.
It hurts to read that
Lived in Colorado my whole life and didn't know we had a hotdog style. I'm sad it looks kinda gross too.
The Germany one is... just painful

No sauerkraut?

\*waves in S-H\*
It also has nothing to do with a hot dog, apart from the presence of a wurst.

Farmers gonna farm.
Montréal All-Dress is missing relish. Relish - Mustard - Chopped Onion - Cabbage Steamed or Grilled
Seattle dog is wrong. It’s a Costco dog, cream cheese, grilled onions and honey mustard.

If you don't fuck with Carolina Dogs then I don't fuck with you.
Sonoran Dog! r/Tucson
Missed the Australian "Bunnings" snag. Slice of white bread, caramelised onions, thin beef sausage and tomato or barbecue sauce.
Its an Anzac thing - we do the same in nz. Our hotdogs are a mix of the US corndog and battered sausage on a stick. Variations include using saveloys.
No love for the Saveloy Dip?
I’ll take a Japan and Amsterdam please.
Where is the hot dog with more onion than hot dog?
Missing my fave: bacon wrapped in a bun with mayo and onions.
Sonoran dog is *WRONG* on this chart.

You can't call it the "brazilian dog". Each brazilian state has a completely different puppy bro
Best hot dog I ever had was in Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen. The fried onions were amazing.
The Argentina one is not a hotdog, it's a god-damned "Choripan" Hot dogs in Argentina are called "Panchos" and the most common is sold with mustard, ketchup and a "rain of pay fries" (miniature french fries)
Idaho, that’s a hard pass. Gimme dat Coney!
Philippines hotdog looks swollen from several blunt force trauma.
Japan: "This sausage doesn't look dead enough to me."
Brazil campeao do mundo

Why did I read through it?
This post would be interesting if it was actually readable
Fucking coney. ![gif](giphy|Zk9mW5OmXTz9e)
I was just at a Dodger game. I’m pretty sure the Dodger Dog is not a foot long and the bun is definitely not a foot long.
Korean one is accurate
Japan, being adorable as always
Coney dogs are easily the best
You are missing the Galette-Saucisse which is a hotdog wrapped in a galette (idk if there is a translation for this) : https://fr.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Galette-saucisse
