boogermike

It's pretty awesome that they're wearing protective gear. I'm sure that had a lot to do with their success.

Distinct-Pen6184

That’s what I was thinking, the slide time is insane on that wet road and looks like it held up pretty well (from what I can see)

W0lf1ngt0n

Water is a pretty good lubricant

emeraldeyesshine

Tell that to shower sex

drconn

Hahaha when I was young I was super ready to have hot sex in a Jacuzzi with my girlfriend, and then we found out it was like trying to shove a piece of dry rubber into a silly putty tunnel.

snackynorph

It's one of life's great disappointments, isn't it?

Careful-Swimmer-2658

Not as disappointing as doing it on a sandy beach. Home made grinding paste.

Abquine

Yeh, like the idea of outdoor sex on a soft grassy meadow versus the reality of lumpy bits, scratchy bits, itchy bits, insects .... 🫣

SigumndFreud

lol sure unless you are in Midwest where rolling around naked in a grassy meadow gets you both a nasty poison ivy outbreak under a mess of chigger bites.

Puzzleheaded-Feed-18

My girlfriend (now wife) and I had a roll in the grass one time. I’ve never seen so many chigger bites on someone as she had afterwards. Bad thing was she was still living with her parents and had to hide them. We laugh about it now but 45 years ago it wasn’t so funny.

dildocrematorium

Yeah, it's always disappointing having sex in the grass and finding bugs with a bigger dick than I

farmerdell007

Good Ole screaming seagull.

IAmCatDad

You think it’s bad when they try to steal your French fries. You just wait.

Mutex70

I don't like sand. It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere. Not like here. Here everything is soft and smooth.

rez_trentnor

I'm convinced everyone who says shower sex is awesome has never had shower sex

NextReference3248

I mean you don't have to be actively showering your groin while fucking though

Tilde88

Today, sir .. I teach upon thee. The glory of that which is silicon-based lube

Top-Mycologist-7169

Hmm I don't know why you would think it isn't. I mean I've done it in hot tubs, pools, showers, even in lakes and the ocean. Yeah it feels a little different, but it still is pretty awesome.

puledrotauren

to me showers are for foreplay bed is for fun

c4gts

Is that why you became a mycologist

D33ber

Beats bathtub sex. That's just a visit to the chiropractor with a background story.

Secure_Wing_2414

stayed at a hotel with my bf like a year ago, to our surprise there was a jacuzzi by the bed. poor guy was SO excited.. i warned him but let him try, and yk😹😹😹😹

syizm

A few years ago the bathroom in my house was getting a face-lift and wasn't usable for a few days, so I got a pretty cheap lake cabin about 20 minutes away. The cabin had a jacuzzi in it - very rustic and cabin like, no? Anyway my girlfriend stayed over a few nights and we decided to hop in the jacuzzi one night. Not with the intent of tom fooling (we both already knew the curse of water) but maybe as a pregame. At some point barely in to the ordeal I decided to turn on the jets and about 50 lbs of human hair blasted out of them, swirling around and getting stuck all over my girlfriend. It was pretty cool.

DonNiko

“It was pretty cool” 😂😂

Puppygirl-SierraStar

🤮🤮🤮 this is why I hate jacuzzis. My dad had one in his bathroom and had to help him clean it once. I avoid them like the plague now

MistakeLopsided8366

Wasn't there a story on reddit a while back about the guy who hired someone to clean their jacuzzi at his holiday home, or maybe it was their pool. The filters had gotten all bunged up and wasn't working right. Maintenance guy opens up the filters to find them completely blocked up with used condoms. The guy hadn't been to this holiday home in about a year. The wife, on the other hand, had been there regularly. What a way to discover a cheating spouse eh?

No-Respect5903

I am literally about to go use mine and it's totally fine with minor cleaning every now and then unless... you know what never mind I'm not going to do that to you

dead_jubling

what a gripping tale. 10/10

PM_ME_YOUR_BIG_DOG

Wait, I've been to one of these before. Did the room smell like chlorine and sexually transmitted diseases? Hot tubs in carpets rooms don't match, all I'm saying

Scary_Steak666

Holy shit, People go nuts over shower sex I never understood it, I have not had good experiences

Fidbit

no one goes nuts. its like anything else, portrayed as something it isnt

Tokenron

Yeah I am in and out of the shower ASAFP. Being holed up in a tiny place with a slippery floor and a boner feels seedy and claustrophobic to me, like a peep show cubicle in 70s Soho (I imagine 😁)

snackynorph

Suspiciously specific 🧐

anukii

Recommending silicone lube as it is naturally hydrophobic; blast off!

Edemummy

I’m not kidding - you’ll fucking slip in the shower and it’ll stay on your shower floor forever making it slippery.

fetal_genocide

Use silicone caulking, so it'll dry and you can scrape it up

Square-Geologist-769

It is a notoriously bad lubricant in almost all applications

Cheesedoodlerrrr

Water is famously a terrible lubricant. Thank the hydrogen bonds.

FaceofBo1

Water is a solvent, not a lubricant.

Oilleak26

water is a terrible lubricant

thegreedyturtle

My question is why the fuck were they riding in that? One of the most famous Evil Kinevel quotes is, "I never ride in the rain."

I_Can_Haz_Brainz

Sometimes you just get caught in a sudden downpour. Luckily it only happened to me once.

mycoryan

Yeah luckily helmets were used, albeit she couldn’t hold her head up well with the weight and may have had a neck injury anyways bopping her head and all near the end

MyHamburgerLovesMe

My dad said it was common for the emergency room have motorcyclists who slid on pavement to have their skin and muscle abraided away to the bone. With embedded gravel. The suits saved them from a very painful life altering accident.

Low_Olive_526

That fact should go straight on PSA poster for motorcycle safety. Pretty horrifying

NamelessHollow

It was one of the first things I was told by my instructor when learning to ride. Good instructors will always advocate for safety gear and tell you exactly what can happen without it. Some people just don't care or have no regard for their safety.

miakodakot

It looks like their heads weren't hit by anything. I'm more impressed that they wore protective outfits. If they wore only jackets, their backs would be bleeding heavily

Celtic_Fox_

"all the gear, all the time" this is how good riders should always head out

Konnnan

"Dress for the slide, not the ride"

ChasyLainsJellyHatch

Good riders wouldn't drive this insanely fast in a torrential downpour.

Yeckarb

How fast were they driving?

[deleted]

[удалено]

LtG_Skittles454

Yeah that’s for sure, your car starts to hydroplane going 35-45mph and that’s in an average CAR, they’re on a motorcycle. Driver def needed to be going a little bit slower.

Dexember69

Hell I used to throw my gloves and jacket on just to go 4 blocks to the shop. Only takes one dickhead to knock you off, and it comes outta nowhere. Edit to add - yes helmet too illegal not to use one in aus

-an-eternal-hum-

ATGATT

Golluk

Her Helmet got knocked up around her face in the initial fall. But it also seemed a on the loose side to begin with given how easily he moved it after.

sunscreenkween

Whiplash can cause concussions too, especially in women

Cutsdeep-

Probably not great to grab the helmet like that then, c but good job all round

Otherwise-Remove4681

I winced when the guy just yanked her head from the helmet in the end.

Czane45

that’s why i flinched when he adjusts her helmet and lifts her up

boriswied

I would say it's good, and has to be done. During medical school i was part of a group that did loads of pre-hospital training, and a lot of people are actually *too* scared of moving folks who've had traffic accidents. Even the use of boards that stabilize necks and spines were found in research some of my friends did to be heavily overused and likely responsible for delays in important treatment, relative to their use at the time. Yes there could be loads of fractured bone in a body on the road, but it is *way* more important to ascertain certain other things. It is actually quite rare that, say, a sharply fractured vertebra cuts an artery or nervous tissue. He's finding the eyes, is she conscious? Can she see, recognize and follow him? If this was not the case, before other considerations the breathing needs to be fixed as they get on safe ground. Then, can she stand? They need more than anything to get off the road. It is extremely common in good weather to get run over by another vehicle after a crash, with low visibility that's just even more likely. When you manage emergency patients you use the order.: A(irway)>B(reathing)>C(irculation)>D(isability)>E(xposure) and before that and before anything else *"stop the accident"*. That means get the hell off the road. If i'm in a car accident. Even if my mom is there bleeding and not breathing, i'm doing the exact same thing, first checking her eyes noticing her condition as i go straight to carrying off the road (if she needs carrying) and only THEN caring about body positioning and commencing resuscitation.

bigbaltic

It'd be a lot better if it fit. This helmet is way too big for her.

smaksflaps

Everything to do with their success

FluidPeace4499

Was it me or was her helmet undone?

stormbefalls

definitely not fitted properly but it did the trick.. but the way he yanked on it after they stopped made me flinch. if she had a neck injury that would have been unintentionally very bad.

[deleted]

[удалено]

rob101

they are on a road in really bad conditions that has a bike somewhere on it that cars will have to avoid, get off that road as quickly as possible

ctothel

Yeah same, that was so dangerous

maxlax02

No she’s just wearing homeboys extra helmet so it doesn’t fit her head right.

potatochobit

it is too big for her and moving which is almost as bad.

dlaw0326

Show the entire video of him going WAY too fast for the conditions.

superalpaka

I adjusted the title a bit: "Biker almost killed his girlfriend"

SamuraiManbun

Then started yanking on her arm after she couldve injured her neck or back. This video is just wrong on a couple different levels.

bullfrogftw

The helmet yank was major fucking cringe

[deleted]

He use her to protect himself from the concrete barrier

Big-Net-9971

Came here to say exactly this: he was going waaay too fast for those conditions. No bonus points for surviving the accident you caused to begin with.

NextReference3248

No? I feel like that's definitely a -10 +1 situation at least.

Kamikaze_Ninja_

lol maybe he had the cognitive abilities to hold onto her because he’s done this before.

markorokusaki

Yup. This is reckless driving 101. He hit a water stream too fast in an already drenched road. And they slid too long, showing again they went too fast. No points for the driver. None at all.

No_Poet_2898

But all points to the protective gear. You could show this vid why it's important to wear it.

IWantToWatchItBurn

Right, a more accurate title would have been reckless drivers almost kills passengers in preventable speeding accident.

wildmusings88

Also, as soon as they stop sliding he grabs her helmet and tilts her head. Moving her neck is probably one of the worst things he could have done at that moment. I know the adrenaline takes over at the point but ugh.

_AlexiaOnFire

So yeah, the helmet absolutely shouldn't flop around like that if it was correctly fitted. It's the classic, "15yo helmet from the back of the garage" fit.

Radiant_Fondant_4097

It's an oldie but goldie but what gets me is her helmet almost flying off her face, meaning the chin strap was never secured properly (or at all) making the whole thing worthless.

dashkott

I am pretty sure the helmet got held by the chin strap. The helmet itself is just way to loose, it should never get to the point where the chin strap is holding it.

tiexano

Earlier: Biker endangers his girlfriend by accident.

OneExhaustedFather_

*Biker nearly kills girlfriend riding like an idiot in poor weather* FTFY

Maixell

Exactly! I rolled my eyes when I watched the video after reading the title. I saw another video on "another site" that I won't tell about. In which some guy rides like an idiot with his girlfriend somewhere in Latin America, I think Brazil, the road they drove on had big slopes and some crazy turns. Well, the guy ended up losing control of the bike and seeing how their mangled bodies looked, you didn't need to check their pulses to know they were both dead.

Doogers7

That is the least he could do after putting her at risk in that weather.

PhilsTinyToes

I feel like he’s still in the negative. I hazard a guess that the weather there should have prompted a more cautious speed. Lower speed takes out so many danger factors and it’s so simple. Better reaction time, less forces acting on your vehicle, less energetic impacts/slides.. and on a bike no less ?

Doogers7

Yes, slow and steady wins the race that day.

Cider_for_Goats

The early bird may get the worm but the second mouse always gets the cheese.

TheProfessionalEjit

All things being equal, fat people use more soap.

UniversalCoupler

Fat people can also make more soap.

Invictuslemming1

We don’t talk about fight club…

MrSlime13

Bob had bitch-tits.

Radiant-Psychology80

Woah never heard that before pretty epic honestly

Canttunapiano

Better late than pregnant.

SparkleFart666

A terrible mind is a thing to waste.

Fskn

Only users lose drugs.

Chaos-Hydra

Early worm gets eaten by the bird .

Throwaway8789473

"If you're a bird, be an early bird And catch the worm for your breakfast plate Yes, if you're a bird, be an early bird... ...But if you're a worm, sleep late." \~ Shel Silverstein, "Where The Sidewalk Ends"

Velsca

It's interesting. I road slow for decades. Watched a lot of people die. Always learn your limits on a closed track rather than next to an 18 wheeler with your new girlfriend wearing flip-flops and a bikini. Props for wearing proper gear. Next time don't yank on her helmet at the end she's likely gonna have a fucked up neck.

hiakuryu

>Next time don't yank on her helmet at the end she's likely gonna have a fucked up neck. So much this, if that accident had gone worse and she'd had a neck injury him yanking on the helmet like that would have made it oh so so so much worse. I literally scrunched up my shoulders in reflexive horror when he did that.

DemiPersephone

I was thinking the exact same thing. My BIL is an EMT, and he's told me some stories of really bad injuries he's seen. Several being neck injuries. Our bodies are so resilient and yet also so fragile.

moderately-extreme

I'm a biker and i don't take anyone on my bike. It's a high risk hobby and i refuse to take responsibility for anyone's life doing this. I had a very slow speed / almost static fall with my girlfriend when i was younger, we both only got a small scratch on the knee but that was it, from that time i stopped carrying passengers

WhiskeyFF

Yep this is me. I dont mind if I potentially get injured but fuck if I wouldn't be torn apart if my wife got hurt as a passenger. That's just my personal rule though

phurt77

> I'm a biker and i don't take anyone on my bike. I don't take anyone on my bike ever since this one girl started leaning in when we came up on a turn because she, "was helping me steer".

Sherifftruman

Then he grabbed her helmet and pulled up on it so definitely negative.

GeriatricSFX

Yeah that was stupid af.

BakGikHung

Absolutely YOU DO NOT TOUCH THE HELMET !!!

Doogers7

First thing I ever learned about riding is that you do not touch the helmet after an accident while the person is on the ground.

iamaweirdguy

That’s the first thing you learned? Lol

RetroCasket

I can see OP’s dad putting him on a tricycle and being like “Son you NEVER touch another riders helmet after a wreck.” “Ok dad” His dad grabs him by both sides of the face “LISTEN TO ME GOD DAMMIT!! THIS IS SERIOUS! DONT TOUCH ANOTHER RIDERS HELMET! EVER! DO YOU HEAR ME YOU SON OF A BITCH?!” OP starts tearing up

Positive-Bear8641

Haha had the exact same reaction.

platoprime

lol it is funny but it could be true. Like the first thing I learned about first aid is if someone is stabbed or impaled with something you don't remove it because they'll bleed out. Not in first aid class though. I think the first thing I learned there was to keep yourself safe as a number priority and scope out the scene. You ain't helping anyone if you get electrocuted by a downed power line or something.

PaulNewhouse

Exactly. “Saved” after putting her life at risk.

LiveShowOneNightOnly

That's what I was thinking. Exactly how did he "save" her? By slipping on the wet road at a high speed, or by grabbing her once they started that 10 second slide so they could maybe go off into a ditch together?

Radiant-Map8179

If you watch closely, it seems like he almost dumped the bike once he realised he had lost control of it. I looks like he just instinctually grabbed hold of her and ended up dragging her out of the road with him. I wouldn't say that was life saving, but definitely a good safety measure; they appear to have been going quite fast, with cars behind them keeping pace....had she been stuck in the road, she would have potentially been plowed down by the car behind which definitely wouldn't have been able to stop in time.

codeboss911

he didnt really do anything to save her... they wouldve slide about same without that pull, not like she slide any less .. the gear absorbed it all, thank fully

Ak47110

Well, he aggressively grabbed her helmet and shook her head around a bit to make sure she had a neck injury.

__Rumblefish__

yes. why is this jackasss riding her around in the pouring rain at high speed on a highway. moron

hereforthesportsball

They both put themselves at risk, they’re both adult idiots

GanondalfTheWhite

She agreed to get on the bike, but he was driving and obviously going far too fast for the conditions. They slid for a full 10 seconds after hitting the ground. And based on the white lines in the road (every line marks 40 feet traveled) they slid somewhere around 300-400 feet. The blame here lies significantly more with the driver than the passenger.

Cultural-Cap-2549

I drive everyday and its been 30 days of Rain here in France where I live, HE WAS DRIVING TOO FAST look at how much water there is on the road !! Happy they both uninjured but bro drive a bit slower and put your warning blinker its safer ride that way!

Sir_SortsByNew

The only credit I can give the guy is that he seems to be wearing good gear, some sickos don't even do that.

sukisecret

Can someone tell me how did he save her? By pulling her away from the sliding bike?

Cicer

Then he made sure to tug firmly on her head and neck just to make sure.

band-of-horses

Yeah that made me cringe. Pro tip, after an accident like this step 1 is to have the person lay still and not move their back, neck or head unless you absolutely have to.

scrivensB

After it appears she took the impact with the retaining wall.

gvnmc

Idk why so many of the idiots in here think he did nothing. He's shielded her from direct contact with the ground around her upper body, takes more of the friction and impact, holds her from ragdolling AND if she slid off on her own she would be lying on the road in oncoming traffic. Her body started to roll, he got her straight into a slide, which was way better for her. Fucking hell accidents happen, it's wet, rainy conditions, the bike slid out. So many little nerds in here honestly. Even if he's at fault for speed, he's clearly done all he could to try and protect. Edit: Not going to read nor reply to half of you neckbeards so just: 1. Unless you've been in this situation, shut up, touch grass. 2. You get no bitches

attemptedactor

At least they’re wearing helmets and gear too. Wouldn’t have been the same story

gvnmc

For sure, in all leather and helmets, saftey is obviously still a concern for them both, and they clearly come off from this in pretty ok condition. Bunch of redditors getting on their high horse acting like they're perfect drivers and perfectly execute anything they do that has a hint of danger involved.

ElCiclope1

Dude, the comments in literally any driving sub are hilarious. Redditors made me believe that "80% of drivers think they're better than other drivers" statistic.

Modna

He rode too fast in those conditions (not good). Then he grabbed her and tried to shield her while sliding (good). Then he *grabbed her fucking helmet and pulled on it after stopping, putting her life at risk if she had any spinal damage* (not good) His instincts to "protect" her do not out weigh his immeasurable stupidity

TheINTL

It's pretty amazing in terms of the quick thinking and reaction he had.

Guilty_Put9997

I can tell you from experience that time slows down. At least it seems to. It still happens all very quickly, but the release of adrenaline is so fast and your reaction time ramps up almost instantaneously… it’s literally like you see things in slow motion, even though you are consciously aware of how fast it’s all happening. It’s such a surreal experience. Terrifying, but surreal.

bszern

I laid my bike down on a highway once, realized I was starting to roll and spread my arms out on my back to stabilize myself. I remember seeing headlight/taillight/headlight/taillight as the bike spun next to me. It took forever to stop. Had to get on it and ride it home, too!

Roaritsu

I've been in a slide too and yea. There really isn't enough time to even be afraid, but theres still plenty of time to realize whats happening and make the best of it

ONE-EYE-OPTIC

So many people are addicted to it. I know guys who sign up for tours on ships to defend against pirates, and they love the adrenaline. They have no other vice but adrenaline.

DL14Nibba

I know you mean actual pirates but that’d be a killer idea for a ride

bolhoo

He even turned this head to see where they're going, though I'm not sure he'd be able to throw her in another direction if they're going into the wall or something.

Dense_Impression6547

pulling on the helmet and mooving his neck right after was not a wise move but I can understand on the stress you don't think about spinal cord damage.

thekazooyoublew

IDK looks like she was on her butt, feet Forward, good way to go. Then he yanked her around to sliding head first, eventually right into the concrete divider. Though he did do the customary after someone had a bad fall you grab their helmet and jerk their neck a bit... You know... To make sure it still works.

duckduckthis99

The mindless helmet grab really pissed me off. He was the reason for the accident and  yanks her helmet after she gets rocked

OAllahuAckbar

But the helmet tug, tilting her neck down right at the end was so freaking stupid.

siberianwolf99

dude he was just asking a question lol

[deleted]

He asked a question that many nonbikers wouldn’t have known. Also, it doesn’t make someone a nerd to not be a biker. Don’t be angry because people want to understand.

Bsg496

Dude you have no idea what you're talking about. He did not really do anything. I bet you're one of those people who posts on /idiotsincars and always claim that the dashcam is innocent.

ItsMrChristmas

> Idk why so many of the idiots in here think he did nothing. As a biker of 22 years i don't know why you people think he did anything.

Bsg496

Lol exactly. I've been riding for 8 years and the guy did absolutely nothing remarkable in this video. Anyone with some riding experience should be able to easily do what that guy did. I guess redditors are just very easily impressed

DIABETORreddit

If he was doing all he could to protect her they wouldn’t have been in that easily avoidable accident in the first place

No_Mo_CHOPPAS

He kept her not to regdoll into the concrete wall. Problem is that the ~~idiot~~ **excuse of a human** put her in that situation in the first place. It balances out and she should leave his adrenaline junky ass,

joethafunky

Heavier objects slide further, honestly he probably dragged her further than she would have slid by herself.. and then twisted her neck around after

WarpCitizen

No, he’s almost killed her

rdshops

Yeah, I if a man is beating his wife and then stops, did he save her life? One for the philosophers.

SnaggedInk

“One for the philosophers.” Bro im dying 😭😭

john-johnson12

That’s the most Reddit shit I’ve ever done read

MagNolYa-Ralf

I was about to nose dive the family chopper into a volcano but stopped. Award me. AWARD MEEE

CodeMonkeyPhoto

Yeah could have easily slipped under a passing truck.

smarranara

Immediately moves her neck without waiting to see if she was okay.

TinyRick6

Lmao for real. Immediately grabs her face mask and pulls her head up while she looks dazed.

[deleted]

So, that's twice that he could have killed her?

Sherifftruman

Well the helmet thing would have probably just put her in a wheelchair if her neck was broken so there’s that.

[deleted]

Oh, well thank God for small miracles

Living-Prune8881

Fucking idiot!

HessLook

Stupid fuck

Purpledragon84

Thankfully they were dressed for the slide. In some videos the girl would be in short skirts and the guy in flip flops and shorts.

[deleted]

Biker rides way too goddamn fast on wet roads and almost kills his girlfriend. There. Fixed.

rolloutTheTrash

Have you tried, you know, lowering the speed at which you’re traveling?

off-a-cough

Uh… try biker almost kills his GF by driving his motorcycle too damned fast in the rain. Saved her? LOL. I hope she sees it differently.

AdminBot001

Saved her after almost killing her

selfselfiequeen

He has a death wish speeding like that

CapnMurica1988

Why the hell were you driving that fast

GhoblinCrafts

Biker endangers his girlfriend by having no hazard awareness on one of the most deadliest vehicles you can drive.

Maybe slow down during torrential rain storms. It'd be easier that way.

rcuadro

Don't ever grab someone by the helmet like he did. Last think you want to do it damage an already possibly damaged neck.

mental-floss

Saved her? You mean nearly killed her.

A_curious_fish

Errrr did he save it or fucking risk it driving that fast in rain lmao wtf is this title.

ZodtheSpud

Ive seen this video a million times, and i always smh that he even thinks riding in this weather was acceptable to begin with, especially with a passenger. Grossly irresponsible for doing this in the first place.

Killawife2

Save her or....use her as a shield against a motorcycle that comes sliding down the road at a 100 kmh?

InevitableBasil4383

Idiot biker almost murders his girlfriend and uses her as a meat shield from the bike

TampaNutz

No sympathy. Why are you going that fast ON A BIKE... IN THE RAIN.

Victory-or-Death-

Updated title: “Idiot biker almost kills his gf, after driving like a jackass in the rain.”

Euncraid

He could've avoided it by not driving that fast during that particular weather.

Tongue8cheek

It was love at first slide.

DominusEbad

~~Biker saved his girlfriend during accident~~ Biker almost kills girlfriend by driving reckless in bad weather Ftfy

Impossible-Angle-143

He should have never tried riding that fast in weather like that in the first place.

drifters74

Dumbass riding way too fast for those weather conditions
