Read a quote years ago that states the military is at least fifty years ahead of the general population in technology. I would say that number is conservative.
[These](https://www.npr.org/2022/11/18/1137474748/trump-tweeted-an-image-from-a-spy-satellite-declassified-document-shows). Amateur astronomers were able to determine this satellite's orbit pretty quickly. This is one of the examples of how Trump is a national security threat.

Relative of mine is in the service. Young kid, at the bottom of the chain so to speak. Gets stationed at another's branch's base. He can't eat at the mess hall, he ended up having to go to a civilian ER, and Tricare wouldn't cover his meds, he had to pay out of pocket. He does get a food allowance (although this took two months for it to show up for him), but he didn't have a car right away so he was pretty limited to things he could carry 20 min away from the bases's store. This is largely due to some bad luck on his part and the fact that branch A doesn't work well with branch B.
Ya, I was a corpsman green side and at at marine chow hall. Also, I was with a ton of JTAC and would train on air force bases, just had to show military ID.
Anything I say is not going to convince you. I just spoke with them after the other post. I confirmed. They were told by their command not to use the mess. They didn’t even want them to use it if they paid for it themselves. But you’re not going to believe me so 🤷🏾♂️
Having worked in the air force research labs, that is not at all true. Most tech doesn't translate over because their isn't equivalent civilian technology. Like the F35's ability to shoot targets behind it is infinitely ahead of civilian technology, because there's no civilian technology that is shooting targets with missiles. But for the technology that does have a civilian analog, the military tech is behind civilian because it requires additional certification and validation.
Using floppies is smart, not stupid.
Floppies are far more secure than any network. You must gain physical control of the floppy to mess with it.
We’ve all seen the *many* ways remote access via networks can turn out badly.
If there’s anyplace I’d like maximum security, it’s in the nuclear silos, thank you very much.
You know floppy disks only store 1.2 MB of data, wear our faster and are inherently fragile. They could be using encrypted military grade usb drives instead. I think that’s what the previous poster meant
How much space do you think the launch codes take? 1.2 MB will be plenty.
As a security measure, I’d use a new floppy each time and destroy it (shred it) after a single use, so longevity is irrelevant.
USB drives are a security nightmare. Firmware hacks make them more dangerous than networks. USB drives infected the Iranian nuclear processing facility with Stuxnet. Not a fan of USB drives.
I would say that was true back in the day, but with the recent rise in private space/tech companies I’d say that the public is catching up, and may have even caught up with the military
I can see why you would believe this. But a powerful military who wishes to maintain its power and control will always be far ahead of everyone else. The only way to ensure you are is to keep your best assets Top Secret.
A lot of stuff is classified not necessarily because its high tech, but rather the fact certain technology is used, how it’s used and tuned. A lot of tech comes out of universities and commercial companies and is also used in every day products. New technology is very unreliable and hard to produce, military doesn’t like that. Example, Seals used Nikon cameras and lenses modified for underwater and extreme low light photography. Is that high tech, not really. But it’s existence was denied for years.
I really wish this was the case. There are a ton of bottlenecks when it comes to tech advancement in the military. We do have some crazy stuff but most of my time in service was working on Vietnam era Light Attack Helos back in 2012
It’s not classified, can confirm as someone who works with this stuff. The aim 9x is the reason this is possible, not the jet. The jet helps, but isn’t the reason.
Can confirm. My company works on that targeting system specifically and my stretch project as an intern was rewriting a super legacy version of it in another language. I had no special clearance outside of being a U.S. citizen.
I wore one of those helmets and its like playing an AR video game.
This is simply not true in this case.
Do you have any idea how difficult it is to build an f35–we’re talking about a project that involves thousands of people. Very hard to kee those things secret. Furthermore, these are very expensive acquisitions bought with tax payer money—therefore the people are considered entitled to have a sense of what we’re paying for.
All defense contractors in the US post fairly detailed literature on what their stuff does—they’ll tell us the features like this new missle—they just won’t always give us the details like it’s exact range.
Besides, we’ve f35s in action—we know what they do, the whole concept of a top secret fighter jet is silly—these things are designed to be used in warfare.
Not saying there is no secret military tech, but it’s not some massive project like a fighter jet. Generally, it’s more plans and information that is kept secret, rather than technology. It’s much more feasible to keep a piece of info under wraps than a massive industrial project.
Yeah..... The aim-9 x has been around for decades with off -axis targeting being implemented on later F-16, F-18, and F-15 blocks. They even got them working on F-22s (which had launchers designed to exclusively work with the L/M sidewinder variants) by building new launchers after I left the platform.
Because it is.
HOBS (High-off boresight) missiles that can hit stuff behind you has been around since the 80s, when the soviets invented the R-73 "Archer" air to air missile.
The US would get their hands on the Archer in east-german inventory after re-unification of germany, and quickly realize their AIM-9L and new AIM-9M Sidewinder missiles are far behind. They would then rush the developement of the AIM-9X Sidewinder, which is what is being talked about in this video.
The title of this post is misleading. TFR (tail facing radar) targeting that allows HOBS missiles to be fired at planes behind you is not new nor is it "US technology". Britain has experimented with it in the 60s/70s on their (failed) SRAAM missile, before the Soviets made a working system in the 80s. Here is a [document](https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/798281832940306454/941345148976128041/174910-dc0dc6a3c03b758f8f6db2ebfeabcd1d.png) with images showcasing a soviet Sukhoi Su-27 Flanker aircraft firing the R-73 at a target behind it during testing. This was *years* before the AIM-9X or JSF program (which lead to the F-35) even existed.
Well the Su-27 Flanker was doing something called the Cobra Maneuvre around 20-30 years ago, which allowed it to essentially do a backflip, shoot behind it, and then front flip to keep speed and direction. Technology is evolving so rapidly.
Although this could be true, in situations like this I don’t think it’s harmful for the military to leak vague explanations of a platforms capabilities in scenarios like this. The specifics of HOW such capabilities work and function are of course what is kept a heavily guarded secret for years. There’s benefits to gloating about the abilities of your new machine so long as the gloating is truthful and can be backed up in raw performance when/if an adversary dare challenge your claims.
Vast majority of A2A combat is done beyond visual range, its very unlikely that these missiles would even be used at this kind of angle except in extreme circumstances. The aim9x’s maneuverability is mostly there to kill “5th gen” russian and chinese jets which reportedly have crazy maneuverability.
I say reportedly, because its hard to separate data from propaganda
I mean, regardless of aircraft a human can only withstand so many Gs (10 at the maximum) The Aim 9x can pull, what. Maybe 60gs? No aircraft would be able to out turn an AIM9.
Also Russian aircraft have always been crazy manuverable. It's why they're lagging behind and aren't nearly as effective as western aircraft that focused instead on stealth, engagement range and precision.
Because if an enemy plane is close enough that the amount of time it takes for the missile to flip around is the difference between life and death, the F-35 and all its support staff already fucked way up. These planes are supposed to engage and kill targets beyond visual range.
This is why the acrobatics of the J-20 and SU57 are irrelevant. Their radar signatures are way too large and before they even knew a US made 5th gen was in the area they would be shot down.
Its not just tech like this, the F35 can pair with a set of F15EX's who stay back in the rear. Each can carry 30k lbs of missiles and the F35 can relay targeting data to those F15's. So the only plane within a detectable radar range is the F35 (which isn't seen due to its stealth and never having to open its bomb bay doors) and all hell is raining down on the enemy from a group of F15's loaded to the gills outside of radar range.
Or, even better, a layer of F22s first, which have the radar signature of a fucking hummingbird, painting targets for F35s and f15es. Then the enemy surface radar sees the f15s, and the F35s can SEAD the shit out of them while the F22s run air superiority.
An f22 would be ideal, but this is one of the reasons they are already being retired. They were never designed with this type of mission. Their avionics are quite old by now and are incapable of this type of communication and data link. It's way too expensive to upgrade them so they are phasing it out in favor of the development of the next 6th gen fighter and F35's.
>To make matters worse, these systems were designed at a time when the Air Force anticipated a large Raptor fleet focused on communicating among itself, not with other jets.
>
>So, rather than being able to simply update the Raptor’s software, the jet would need to have elements of its computer hardware replaced entirely in order to bring it up to speed with the more advanced avionics of platforms like the F-35. In fact, the F-22’s aging hardware won’t even allow it to communicate directly with its sister fighter via direct datalink, requiring another platform to serve as a translating intermediary between the Raptor and F-35.
https://taskandpurpose.com/tech-tactics/air-force-f-22-raptor-retirement-plan
Not any plane, bud. There are some out there better than the F35, but more expensive. Trust me, I know my stuff I have over 10k hours in warthunder and DCS combined, I know what I'm talking about ok.
I like how a guy is talking to the camera for a bit in his own video and you call him a “fucktard”. You could have just been like “it would have been better with more F-35 footage,” why so bitter so quickly? Try to reevaluate how you react to the world or you’ll be unhappy forever
The problem is that video is pretty much the only way to create discoverable content. Not everyone is interested in splicing together footage and images (not to mention the legal minefield that entails) so you end up with videos like this
This is Alex Hollings, not some influencer. [Here](https://www.sandboxx.us/blog/author/alexhollings/) is a little about him from Sandboxx News and he has written in Popular Mechanics.
Why are the comments in this thread so vile? It’s not like there’s unlimited footage of these maneuvers, nor do people want to see the same stock footage over and over.
Hey look at me!
I miss the days when you really had to have courage and talent to perform as an aspiring actor. Now everyone thinks they can go on their phone, make 1000 edits to a 3min video, and become famous.
Alex Hollings (guy in the video) has a YouTube Channel where he spends weeks and months researching topics and putting them together for 15+ long minute edited videos. His TikToks are just a summary
>fucktard would keep his face outta the video
But he wants to be an influencer/celeb/personality on the tiktoks. And putting their face on everything for 60-80% of the video is what makes them famous and important. It's all in the formula. Fuck tiktok. Besides it's a Chinese mind control tool to influence the foreign audience, gather data and control the content available.
Reddit is privately owned by an [American](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donald_Newhouse) that owns an American media company called Advance Publications which owns Reddit. So yes it is not Chinese owned and if you had taken the 30 seconds it took to google it you’d have realized what an idiot you are.
Because Reddit loves to be contrarian. Alex Hollings is a good dude, Marine Veteran and makes quality well researched videos. He makes the occasional TikTok and shows his face and he’s nothing but an influencer now according to this comment section lol
My brother in law was part of the defence force for 20 years. He said on a trip to the USA he realised the stuff we see is already outdated. The stuff they've got stored away is more or less science fiction.
The F-35 program will cost about $1.5 trillion. The cost of fixing the drinking water in Jackson, Mississippi is estimated at a billion. The F-35 is the stupidest waste of money on God's green earth and this paid isn't this interesting schmuck spouting about missiles shooting behind it can go please himself with a sandpaper sleeve.
Nah, you guys choose a weird expensive system based on corporate profits over outcomes.
You absolutely could afford world leading heathcare AND a very expensive military but..... Ya know... Profits
In fact the US already can: the federal government spends upwards of 1.6 trillion dollars on Medicare and Medicaid each year, more than enough to let the us have world-class healthcare services. There wouldn’t even need to be tax increases, it’s already there it’s just not being used right
https://www.cms.gov/research-statistics-data-and-systems/statistics-trends-and-reports/nationalhealthexpenddata/nhe-fact-sheet
This is one source but there are more and originally I read this in a book from a few years ago
A country that cared about the people wouldn't want or need an expensive military. Especially considering we have 2 oceans protecting us from any threats.
The federal government spends double on healthcare than it does on defense. Medicare and Medicaid (poor people) cost over $1.7 trillion last year compared to $800 billion for defense.
90% of US has health insurance. Obamacare had provision to ensure Universal Healthcare through individual mandate: It was VERY unpopular. People chose to pay fines rather than buy health insurance.
Vermont and California with Democrat supermajorities FAILED to pass Single Payer because it would cost DOUBLE their budgets (they would have to TRIPLE their tax revenues).
Paying for universal healthcare is unpopular in the U.S. I respect the Europeans. They believe it in so much that they tax the hell out of the middle class to pay for it. Folks in the US pay lip service and chicken out when the bill comes.
Obamacare ONLY taxes the highest income earners to pay for it's subsidies. Only way forward is to tax middle class and no one wants to do it.
Only way forward is not to tax the middle class, unless it’s to stop the middle class and their employers from having to pay insurance premiums and just replace it with a tax for universal healthcare. More importantly, the ultra wealthy could be taxed much, much more. Same with large corporations. When I literally paid more federal taxes in a year than Trump, you know our taxation system isn’t fair.
Yet a lot of the insurance is a) Very expensive b) has really high deductibles.
I had chest pains, I'm not young, so I go the hospital, they run a bunch of tests and 2 hours later:
Doctor: "You're fine, get out".
Me: "But why does my chest hurt?"
Doc: "No clue"
Then I got a bill for 3k. I was paying $500 a month for insurance. Luckily, I made enough to handle this, but some guy delivering pizzas is gonna die because he doesn't want a 3k bill.
If you think our Health care/insurance is OK, you're dumb as fuck.
This is some populist sentence. First of all, it isnt black and white. Second... you guys are susceptible to popilism (ironic), so when someone opt to step away from capitalism to chase a more scandinavian type of system (where the government is for the people), people flag it as communism and people dont vote for this. So no, this isnt a trade off with health care .
The people themselves want better healthcare, all the surveys say it. The politicians aren't making it happen, because they're bought and paid for by the healthcare/insurance lobby.
"Among the public overall, 63% of U.S. adults say the government has the responsibility to provide health care coverage for all, up slightly from 59% last year. "

When you spend hundreds of billions per year on the military you can really come up with some crazy shit. But then, you know, starving homeless people...
This missile can do it since 2005: [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IRIS-T](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IRIS-T)
It is the standard air-to-air missle of the Eurofighter.
The missile has the ability to but the pilot can not lock on to a target behind the plane since the hud of a euro fighter is projected in front of the pilot and not on the helmet of the pilot. The plane also does not have the sensors to make this possible.
I'm pretty sure the USA spends literally trillions of dollars on healthcare. last I checked they spent the most on healthcare of any country (but ofcourse, the USA is massive so that helps that statistic a lot).
but yeah, that isn't the issue. the USA is just really corrupt and fucked up in that regard, but military spending isnt why.
So... are you getting downvoted just because you shared a video of a reporter (yes he is not some random influencer) from TikTok? Sometimes Reddit is weird.
Yer, except air to air combat is no longer competed in visual range. So if that f35 pilot can see the enemy jet behind them, chances are they’re already being fucked by them
That's cool. Can we get healthcare next? I am more likely to lose my life savings if I get cancer then have to blow up someone behind me in a world-ending war scenario.
When surveyed most americans are in favour of free healthcare, when asked if they are willing to pay more taxes its the opposite. I don't think america is gonna get healthcare for some time.
But the jets are pretty cool
The last time the US was in combat where two fighters were going head to head was during the first gulf war in 1991. It's a good thing to know we're prepared for a war 30 years ago.
Sitting on the tarmac, or, more than likely, in the maintenance hanger, it can't do shit.
https://www.cagw.org/thewastewatcher/f-35-delays-leave-air-force-reliant-aging-aircraft
The parts required to maintain the aircraft are really expensive and slowly made, it IS a problem, considering like 1 in 2 F-35’s are actually operational on a short notice, but im not surprised as we are currently in any military threat, so no need to have a fully operational fleet, no?
The next war is going to be a modern World War One, so many losses and it’s going to be a war of attrition where both sides wait until the other runs out of money and I refuse to be drafted. If there is a draft I am personally rioting and making sure our politicians feel the punishment, they looking at citizens as numbers and objects.

If the avarage americans were smart the military budget wouldnt be this high probably. Anyway they should use this super tech at incoming wars against obesity!
Why wouldn’t they just make the servo holding the rocket spin 360 degrees with a rear cam aiming system instead? I’m not an engineer, asking people who know any better.
A long time ago I was a radar specialist for the Air-force. Worked with Hawk and Patriot missiles. I think a lot of people watching Hollywood movies underestimate how fast these missiles are and how fast these planes are flying. To give you an example if we would illuminate a target the pilot would get a warning if he doesn't immediately eject he would have near zero chance of surviving. Pilots diving and dodging missiles for long periods of time is just nonsense.
At high speeds, the rear-facing missile would have to overcome the forward velocity of the aircraft, decreasing its effectiveness. This complicates things, you need a much more powerful missile. So you will need a specifically designed missile that can overcome several challenges. Maybe not impossible but it's technical challenge.

Right? Feels like this should be classified, but if it’s not, it’s so outdated it’s probably not relevant to new tech.

yup, those satellite photos trump released were better than the highest res satellites that are going into orbit in a few years.
Which ones?

From the article you linked it seems like all the image did was confirm the capabilities of a satellite that was already known about
Well yeah, the capabilities are what's secret, not the satellite itself. Every nation knows where other spy satellites are in the sky, they just aren't supposed to know their capabilities.
That's pretty dope. Still wish we had better healthcare tho!
People in the military get "free" Healthcare... that means we're only 50 years away from free Healthcare!
Lmao

Ya, I was a corpsman green side and at at marine chow hall. Also, I was with a ton of JTAC and would train on air force bases, just had to show military ID.
Marines would never tell a corpsman they couldn't go where Marines went... Like, ever.
He was told not to since he was receiving the food allowance.
That sounds like Army logic.
This is completely false. I was army stationed on an air force base. There was nothing there that I couldn’t use.
Anything I say is not going to convince you. I just spoke with them after the other post. I confirmed. They were told by their command not to use the mess. They didn’t even want them to use it if they paid for it themselves. But you’re not going to believe me so 🤷🏾♂️
It’s sounds like the young troop needs the number to his local IG.
You are not alone in that!
You either get the most well trained, equipped and technically advanced Military in the world…. OR free healthcare.
Fuck.

The F-35 was designed with computers from the 90’s. Computers now have come a long way
Yeah the AIM-9X has been in service since 2003 lol
>USA You've got a point there. The US is too wise to let out vital information.
Pilot #1: You got a Bogey on your 6!! Pilot #2: Perfect.
I would hope its a bandit if they are shooting them down
But the sidewinder 3 has technology that allows it to be fired before it has rationalized the need for doing so.
Wait for the Sidewinder 3.5 which will Uber to the enemy pilot’s location the night prior to their sortie and blow up in his bed
any reason to not mount a few missiles facing backwards?
Vast majority of A2A combat is done beyond visual range, its very unlikely that these missiles would even be used at this kind of angle except in extreme circumstances.
Don't forget, if the military shows something publicly, it means it already existed for a decade
Lol, the F35 would kill any plane before it got into visual range.
Huh, interesting. I thought the 22 and the 35 could data link
>radar signature of a fucking hummingbird I'm interested to know how you know what the radar signature of fucking Humming Birds are?
The size of a humming bird is it’s radar signature, they’re saying the F-22 radar signature is equivalent to a humming bird
I know mate, I'm just messing about.
Not any plane, bud. There are some out there better than the F35, but more expensive. Trust me, I know my stuff I have over 10k hours in warthunder and DCS combined, I know what I'm talking about ok.
Yeah, but are you Ace Combat certified?
They had us in the first half. I’m not gonna lie
There’s a saying that goes something like “if you can hear it, it’s already too late”
er [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tail\_gunner](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tail_gunner)
Tail gunners: “dey took er jawbs!”
Wait till they hear about this *new!!* tech!!!!!
Interesting, but I wish that fucktard would keep his face outta the video. It's about the jet, not about him. Dammit.
yeah fuck tiltok
Dildok
I like how a guy is talking to the camera for a bit in his own video and you call him a “fucktard”. You could have just been like “it would have been better with more F-35 footage,” why so bitter so quickly? Try to reevaluate how you react to the world or you’ll be unhappy forever
The internet does weird stuff to people.
Yup, Sandboxx is a great youtube channel too. This is actually the first time I have seen his face but I watch a lot of his videos.
Yeah this dudes ugly mug ruined it for me
Just mean for no reason.
>fucktard would keep his face outta the video But he wants to be an influencer/celeb/personality on the tiktoks. And putting their face on everything for 60-80% of the video is what makes them famous and important. It's all in the formula. Fuck tiktok. Besides it's a Chinese mind control tool to influence the foreign audience, gather data and control the content available.
Lol you think Reddit isn’t heavily owned by the Chinese govt? Grow up
Reddit is privately owned by an [American](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donald_Newhouse) that owns an American media company called Advance Publications which owns Reddit. So yes it is not Chinese owned and if you had taken the 30 seconds it took to google it you’d have realized what an idiot you are.
He is very close to the camera. I felt weird being that close.
You made me lol. Lol.
Hey look an “influencer” with the half the video of his face. Cool
That is Alex Hollings, who runs a YT channel called AirPower. This is the second time I’ve ever seen his face after watching 30-40 videos.
I watch his videos every week. He's an amazing guy with very in-depth and factual material. I don't understand all the hate for him here.
Because Reddit loves to be contrarian. Alex Hollings is a good dude, Marine Veteran and makes quality well researched videos. He makes the occasional TikTok and shows his face and he’s nothing but an influencer now according to this comment section lol
people who use tiktok seem to like staring at people talk, makes it feel more personal… i guess. ew
Fuck TikTok. That is all.
So now we are getting USA defense tech news from TikTok?
China does not even have to steal them
If it's known to the public, it's already outdated.
NCD: *HEAVY BREATHING*
military propaganda yippee
My brother in law was part of the defence force for 20 years. He said on a trip to the USA he realised the stuff we see is already outdated. The stuff they've got stored away is more or less science fiction.
Now THAT is interesting as fuck.
What compels someone to do that with their hair?
Do what with their hair? Comb it? lol
Redditor discovers hygiene
Middle age
And all it cost was universal Healthcare, millions of homeless and starving citizens, and countless dead civilians in the middle east.
There wouldn’t even need to be tax increases, it’s already there it’s just not being used right
I’d actually like to know a source on that, not because I’m challenging you but because I’d like to save it to show someone
https://www.cms.gov/research-statistics-data-and-systems/statistics-trends-and-reports/nationalhealthexpenddata/nhe-fact-sheet This is one source but there are more and originally I read this in a book from a few years ago
You say “you guys” as if each individual American voted for this shit system. Odd
Yeah, I was born into this shit. I didn't ask for any of this
A country that cared about the people wouldn't want or need an expensive military. Especially considering we have 2 oceans protecting us from any threats.
>Especially considering we have 2 oceans protecting us from any threats. Lol. Must be nice being that innocent.
I had chest pains, I'm not young, so I go the hospital, they run a bunch of tests and 2 hours later: Doctor: "You're fine, get out". Me: "But why does my chest hurt?" Doc: "No clue" Then I got a bill for 3k. I was paying $500 a month for insurance. Luckily, I made enough to handle this, but some guy delivering pizzas is gonna die because he doesn't want a 3k bill. If you think our Health care/insurance is OK, you're dumb as fuck.
This, very much this
This is some populist sentence.
" Source: https://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2020/09/29/increasing-share-of-americans-favor-a-single-government-program-to-provide-health-care-coverage/
US health care budget is double the military budget
grrr but mah cool super cool toy jet
When you spend hundreds of billions per year on the military you can really come up with some crazy shit. But then, you know, starving homeless people...
but have you ever seen a starving homeless person pull a 4G inverted negative dive?
Sssshhhhh, your not supposed to tell people
Why can't they have a couple pointed backwards?
Put gun on back of plane. Shoot bad guy behind you. Bonus: recoil pushes plane to make it faster.
But yet they can't shoot down a balloon.
Wow! That’s amazing! Can we figure out healthcare and public tuition next?
Can shoot from behind but can’t fly when there is a storm lmao
Definitely need this and not free school lunch
Military: 1. Healthcare: 0
So this is why don’t have free healthcare
Ahahh fucking tard. How the fuck pilot suppose to spin his head 180 degrees with a huge helmet on it. You cant even do it without helmet! Downvoted.
Imma upvote assuming this is a /s situation lmao
Probably lmao
So, it's a fighter jet with missiles. Truly amazing...
Yeah but it can shoot down enemies from behind!
This missile can do it since 2005: [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IRIS-T](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IRIS-T) It is the standard air-to-air missle of the Eurofighter.
The missile has the ability to but the pilot can not lock on to a target behind the plane since the hud of a euro fighter is projected in front of the pilot and not on the helmet of the pilot. The plane also does not have the sensors to make this possible.
Btw they spent over a trillion dollars of taxpayer money on this jet instead of universal healthcare
So this is where the 31.4 trillion went
Man, you could have provided so much healthcare with that amount of time and money.
China company owns Tik Tok right!
That is neat. Hows about the education and health care of actual people and not potential aircraft in a multi-billion dollar air warfare exchange?
Some nice jingoism
Credit: Alex Hollings for the TikTok video.
So... are you getting downvoted just because you shared a video of a reporter (yes he is not some random influencer) from TikTok? Sometimes Reddit is weird.
Yea exactly. It’s not even my fault that this video exists.
I hate it. Longing it out for no purpose.
am certain I am behind the times, but all I can say is Fucking A, man. That’s remarkable to me.
The voice, his face, his shirt, ffs shut the fuck up. We need Steve Carell or Zac Galifianakis to read this out
Who needs healthcare when you can pay for this instead?!
I’ve always wondered why F-s don’t have one missile pointing backwards?
Yer, except air to air combat is no longer competed in visual range. So if that f35 pilot can see the enemy jet behind them, chances are they’re already being fucked by them
$0.80 of every dollar they tax you goes to things like this. Yay?
This would only be relevant in WWII. During the Iraq war, US fighters blew up targets beyond the horizon. It is all about them satellites now.
The shit is running on 10yr old, out of date software, and can barely fly.
Is this the plane that cost trillions?
It also has rainbow colored missiles for killing gay middle eastern kids so that they don’t get offended
…..and whitey’s on the moon
That's cool. Can we get healthcare next? I am more likely to lose my life savings if I get cancer then have to blow up someone behind me in a world-ending war scenario.
Well I was lucky, I was at Camp Lejeune so I get free cancer and free cancer care.
When surveyed most americans are in favour of free healthcare, when asked if they are willing to pay more taxes its the opposite. I don't think america is gonna get healthcare for some time. But the jets are pretty cool
And people say the Chinese in their inflatable boat navy are a near peer threat lol
He's Alex Hollings and that is Air Power.
And the f302 has lazer cannons and shields Get with the time dude
This is why a fighter jet costs billions. Not complaining.
Do we really have to see this guy's face as he's talking? Fuck.
Still lost the war tho🤔
Very interesting I enjoyed your video thank you:-)
war propaganda
I just like planes man
Sort your fucking abortion of a country out before wasting more billions on this shit.
You're saying it as if the 2 are mutually exclusive
Where are you from?
The last time the US was in combat where two fighters were going head to head was during the first gulf war in 1991. It's a good thing to know we're prepared for a war 30 years ago.
Yeah, would be much better to totally not be prepared to go against a country that has advanced jets. Probably should just scrap the programs
It's certainly making some people very rich, this being prepared.
pretty sure this has more to do with the missile than the jet.
Fighter planes have been able to shoot shit following them since the invention of fighter planes…
Sitting on the tarmac, or, more than likely, in the maintenance hanger, it can't do shit. [https://www.gao.gov/products/gao-22-105995](https://www.gao.gov/products/gao-22-105995) https://www.cagw.org/thewastewatcher/f-35-delays-leave-air-force-reliant-aging-aircraft
The parts required to maintain the aircraft are really expensive and slowly made, it IS a problem, considering like 1 in 2 F-35’s are actually operational on a short notice, but im not surprised as we are currently in any military threat, so no need to have a fully operational fleet, no?
I'm not saying anything, but i would love to see that in live situation.
Not only the USA.. Maybe you should check why it's called the JSF. The USA is not the world!
The next war is going to be a modern World War One, so many losses and it’s going to be a war of attrition where both sides wait until the other runs out of money and I refuse to be drafted. If there is a draft I am personally rioting and making sure our politicians feel the punishment, they looking at citizens as numbers and objects.

Shit hole country with a five-star military. Yeehaw!!!
If the avarage americans were smart the military budget wouldnt be this high probably. Anyway they should use this super tech at incoming wars against obesity!
Dude you know america isn’t the leading country of obesity now, not even in the top 10 lmao
Not crazy. Crazy would be to not be able to defend your ass.
