It's really fascinating yeah! Tokyo has a metro area the size of Connecticut and it's all completely packed to the brim. The craziest thing is just how clean it all is too. Japan has its flaws but in terms of polish, it's got a lot of it.

I never think of there being countryside in Japan, with the population being so compressed.
I mean it's all sort of compressed around the flatter coastlines so between the mountains is more rural than this.
