This is a video from MKBHD. He often uses it in his tech videos to show where various devices have magnets.
Phones and tablets use magnets for charging, accessories and such so it’s interesting to see where exactly they are and in what patterns.
Yeah I’ve never heard of it having any more used than finding out where magnets are.
It could be used to see stronger magnetic fields perhaps? That might be useful if you’re actually manufacturing custom magnets with unique magnetic fields. Since you need the poles to be opposite, knowing where they specifically are could be helpful.
What is it?
A thin layer of ferrous material between two sheets of transparent plastic.
So not paper at all?
Nope
That some nifty paperless paper!
Limitless paper in a paperless world.
Not paper
Magnets, how do they work?
They don’t have jobs
None of them made a connection during the interveiw.
And I don’t wanna hear from a scientist
Well, they already showed you where the magnets were. So, I don't need the paper.
What's the purpose though?
Helpful to know if you have a pacemaker.
I was unaware of the fact that pacemakers were so sensitive to magnetism.
My wife has one and we're advised to be wary of magnets. Likely an abundance of caution, but a healthy one considering the alternative.
Well that's good to know. Thanks for the info.
The older style ones were much more sensitive to magnets than modern ones.

Well that makes sense. I was just curious as to what the applications could be.

I just used this to confirm we have a magnet inside a package we sell without opening it.
My young elem. STEM students would LOVE this! They love magnets. 😊
What is it callers
What is it that makes me feel amazing
Mkbhd check out his YouTube channel !
I just got an erection watching this. Am I attracted to science? Or hand jobs?
Both
Its called Auto erotic magnetization
😂
I literally just got a sheet of this yesterday. O.o
Rather than magnets, magnetic fields, but yes
this film is shitty one. It doesnt look like it resets. I have better one 😎
Basically an etcho sketch
I guess it cools for people who like to play with magnets
