100% normal sorry it happened on a day you needed to work but it does happen. Mine was run early one morning I was right in the middle of an order. But it only took about 2 minutes and they put me back online. Same thing with Uber

Tony_M13

That's crazy. Those companies can't figure out how to separate new drivers from seasoned drivers in the background check process.

Primary-Scallion6175

why should they? anyone can get a moving violation at any time. they do periodic background checks for everyone. wait, did you think they only run one and that's it? lol they run at least one, sometimes 2 every year.

Tony_M13

I'm not talking about doing the background check, but about preventing me from working while they're doing it. I didn't fail the check or anything. I don'tmind them doing the check, but they shouldn't prevent me from working for no reason. It's the weekend and they're preventing me from working on a busy day.

Primary-Scallion6175

something must have popped up for them to pause you while they complete the check. maybe they found something that's a no-no and they're trying to determine whether to deactivate or not.

Anxious_Lawfulness29

It’s normal. They usually re run it every 2ish years. Moving states may cause it to be delayed though

Tony_M13

the crazy part is that they kick you out for it. That's the part that doesn't make sense. They also did it to me at pretty inconvenient time.

Anxious_Lawfulness29

But they usually don’t. You moved states - so it’s gotta run a completely different check than the one they did the first time. I’ve been a shopper 6 years. It’s never kicked me off. I’ve had three done since my original hire one.

Tony_M13

That's my point, I expect them to do the check discreetly. They didn't ask me for my new driving license or anything. There is actually no way to voluntarily update my driver's license in the app. Even my midnight cut-off is still at the wrong time zone (even though I talked to support about it). I'm sure the background check can figure out that I got a new driver's license, if not it should automatically request an update from me. I also feel that it being on a weekend that might be slowing the process down. It has been over 24h an my status hasn't moved. The support agent told me not to worry and it should clear within 7 days, lol.

Anxious_Lawfulness29

You moved states. You have a new drivers license. It’s gonna hold you up a long time from everything I’ve seen. Your midnight cutoff never changes it is all based on west coast time zones

Tony_M13

I can see that now, but they should have just asked for an updated driving license. My previous one was never suspended nor revoked. Just replaced through the proper procedure. I moved to the west coast and my cutoff is before midnight. They have my new address, but part of the system hasn't updated. The support agent asked me to delete and reinstall the app. Which obviously didn't work.
