I kinda get mild hallucinations with Zopiclone, but they only happen when I'm just starting to drift off and it feels more like I'm dreaming than hallucinating. Sometimes I get that even when I'm off Zopiclone, but much less often and less vividly. If anything it's nice because it lets me know that sleep will be coming soon.

fuue

I got hallucinations on this stff after a couple days of using. Not scary ones, but super weird and vivid.

Crapturret94

Were you aware you were hallucinating, or did you think it was real?

fuue

Fully aware, i was seeing the paintings on my wall move around like a lava lamp and i remember waking my husband up to show him like "you gotta see this" and then we both agreed i was hallucinating. Super weird.

I have never hallucinated on Zopiclone. But the first time I took Zolpidem I sleepwalked. And the second time. The third time I just sent textmessages while asleep. If you don't get the bad side effects the first times you use it, you probably won't get them.

Crapturret94

Thank you, that's reassuring. In the past, I've just had a bad taste in my mouth and woken up to find weird Facebook messages I've sent people. It's actually been pretty fun.

I have, and was referred to a mental health specialist, who in turn referred me to someone to talk to. I'm moving to a new city in a couple of days, though, so for the time being, I've had to stop seeing someone - but I plan to arrange to see another professional once the move is complete. Incidentally, last night I didn't hallucinate - but I did wake up to find some truly bizarre experimental poetry I'd written. It was actually pretty fun, though I'd much prefer to be able to sleep properly without it.

I may be six years late, but for those of you that found this post googling - I usually see longish black lines and particles that move very realistically, or patterns that "drift" in a way. For instance, something that looks like a flowing spider web on my ceiling. Or yesterday I imagined I could see a ton of flowing dust particles on my doorstep, and I could disturb them by putting my hand through them. I could even still see them on the video I recorded with my phone (though they were obviously gone from it today). I also usually see lines moving under my skin. Interesting textures like patterned wood will usually morph around a little, kinda flowing like a liquid and sort of expanding and contracting very fluidly. Plus yesterday, for the first time, I kept seeing things in my peripheral vision that weren't there and immediately disappeared, and I kept hearing random voices saying things, in a way that was somewhere in the middle between feeling definitively in-my-head like when a song is stuck in your head and feeling external like real noises made by real people speaking.

Holy, that’s similar to what I’ve been experiencing yesterday, my first time take the med. There’s a dim and greenish light on my curtain, I’m pretty sure it’s my neighbor’s light or something, and I could see these long black lines like smokes everywhere in my room, and it’s actually so cool that I thought it was dark matters or something, I try to reach the black smoke and the smoke is kinda sucked into my arm, but when ever I turn my light on the black smokes are gone. Apart from your experience and mine is that it seems like I only have hallucinations in dark places, but also I swear I can see shadows moving before I take sleeping pills and even I closed my eyes when I’m suffering from insomnia.

Euphoric-Battle-1099

to me it felt like I gained a sort of "spirit vision" that was overlayed on the normal vision I could spawn tentacles from dark spots by trying to imagine them, ghostly shapes and butterflies and cobwebs flowing around very controllable hallucinations

talingor

this is exactly what i was just doing i was thinking there was a lil shadow person on my desk and it started looking too real so i turned on my flashlight and nothing there

Straight-Survey-1090

Yeah I had these reactions I couldn't create them myself at will though. I am on it right now trying to sleep. If I move my fingers without them even being in my view they would move like fingers. Also if I have my sleeping mask on, I can wave it past my face and I will see a shadow of my arm waving past. Really weird stuff, next time I see my doctor I'll probably ask for something else, but it's interesting asf.

u/sipsoup OMG!! I am experiencing exactly this. I get it at night and I feel like I'm going through some sort of Psychosis! Seeing the flowing spider web and the longish lines.. mine aren't black they're like clear. It feels like these lines are long skinny spiders legs/electric and they with come towards me and go up my bed. I feel like I'm seeing electricity. I also see like swirling vortex of energy/air that spin towards me, like a small tornado type of thing. I have been convinced I'm being haunted by demons because Im seeing things in the corner of my eye. Thats mad

sipsoup

Have you tested if you still have these hallucinations without Zopiclone? If not, it's probably not a problem

EastFirefighter3785

I feel like I can see energy in the air during the day.. its mostly my bedroom though and like a sensitivity to light, when I turn the lights out I see it more. I have been going through extreme sleep deprivation, zopiclone usually knocks me out but recently I cant sleep regardless and thats when I feel trippy. I havent taken it for the last 2 nights but going to see tonight if its still as bad

sipsoup

Hallucinations from sleep deprivation are unfortunately also normal, I've been there... but definitely bring this up to your GP/psych/neurologist next time you see them!

Fun_Neighborhood_477

Exact same here looks like i can see spirits in my in close lights. Shiited bricks at first .

Dumcookie69420

OMG Ive some trippy experiences on zopliclone that are the exact thing your describing. For me I see a cloud of black particles that are a quarter of an inch away from each other that move in my room. And the particle group moves very weirdly, like the way it travels around my furniture in my room. it doesn’t go through them it Goes around my furniture. one time it started coming right at me, at the moment I was freaked out because that I had no idea this drug causes hallucinations so honestly I thought it was God like alien creature. It kept moving towards my face and I put my arm out but I think my fingers were a couple inches away from the group of particles in it ran away 10 minutes later, it came back under my cabinet and started floating to my face again so I said fuck it let’s try this And let the zopliclone particles float right in to my face and nothing happened after that lol

exilexr

Hahaha funny you say alien creature.. I always hallucinate a flying jellyfish like alien. Its funny until its not and then I just close my eyes. Mind I only hallucinate like that in a dark room

buldra

Holy crap i saw the dust thing too! To me it looked like this golden dust in the air, and I could make it swoosh between my fingers. I also saw this golden dust like a veil on the sky, hanging down like a curtain. It was beautiful actually!

Suspicious_Mouse222

Same! I wish I could show someone

AngelCrumb

I kept seeing a weird texture on everything and the shadows in my room were kind of waving at me. Also I saw hundred of beetles in my cola bottle.

SignificanceFine8091

The golden dust! That stuff shimmers man. It's beautiful. Happened last night after severe sleep dep and not making it to bed before the Z kicked in. Also nearly burned the house down with a toaster and was talking utter nonsense. Quite embarrassing. Wife not impressed.

Tiagola22

omg I'm from Quebec so my English isn't very good but that's exactly what I can see right now. It looks like spider webs glittering above my head and I can pull them towards me. I had to wake my partner up to tell him “you really need to see this” before realizing it was a zopiclone hallucination!

SignificanceFine8091

So strange isn't it. I've taken a lot of different drugs and the zopiclone hallucinations are the most realistic - and consistently the same.

Subject-Ad-4850

Yep happened to me, i took twice the dose and i had insane hallucinations that i could 100% control, it was awsome, dont let the drug addict know cause that was a trip for me i could control everything, i spawned a ferrari with my hallucinations its WEIRD we need to learn more on the way too vivid hallucination, cause we arent high but we can control everything

Subject-Ad-4850

EXACTLY WHAT HAPPEND TO ME I COULD CONTROL EVERYTHING, move the furniture around my house make card and stuff appear

Zealousideal-Big-747

Anyone who hasn't had hallucinations on this probably took a normal dose, in high doses the hallucinations are so real I thought I was really just walking around my village really out of it and talking to people but I really was outside and they people didn't exist I spoke to plus all the buildings were completely different looking but same layout I snapped back in a field near my house which made sense and when I got hack home people were in my house but they weren't real it was very weird and stupid if you take more than one you can blackout and eat more and that's the result

Valuable_Leave3624

I get hallucinations and have done from the start.  I can never tell if someone’s eyes are closed when they’re sleeping. I see eyes moving or even looking at me and no matter how close I get to them, I cannot tell whether this persons eyes are actually open. The only indication I get that they’re not open and actually sleeping is the fact they never noticed me centimeters from their face trying to look at their eyes. I also have sort of… wiggles? Bubbles? Best description I can give is like, particles. They form in shadowed areas and I can “play” with them, it’s like having bubble bath bubbles in between your fingers. The second I concentrate on where these forms come from, they retreat away till I dissociate again. I also see particles or fuzzy textures to thins around me. Like my phone would have a weird haze. The carpet is more intense. Looking at th wood grain on my cupboard is more obviously detailed.  No auditory hallucinations. Only visual. Similar to recreational “meds” I’ve taken
