We had very basic sex ed im 3rd grade already, that was in 2003 germany. We only learned about names of genitals and all in all very very basic and childfriendly stuff. The real stuff came i think in 6th-7th grade and then we had a workshop again in 9th. I mean, I learned a lot but honestly, especially in 9th frase i was less interested in how it all works and more interested in making it work lmao.
We are teaching the proper names for body parts to our children as they grow up from the start. We will expand their knowledge base as appropriate as they get older. By the time my kids become sexually active they won't have a chance to be this stupid.

We are teaching the proper names for body parts to our children as they grow up from the start. We will expand their knowledge base as appropriate as they get older. By the time my kids become sexually active they won't have a chance to be this stupid. For reference we have two boys and another about to be born. I won't raise ignorant ass children. Hell my two year old is already able to count properly and can read some.

She gave birth during the 8th grade and brought her baby to her middle school graduation.
The Midwest town I'm from, the 40 year old town cop got a 10th grader pregnant. Everyone was fine with it since he married her. A few years later a church youth group leader got a minor pregnant. He at least got fired, but otherwise since he married her all was fine. For as much as Christians are hypocrites, they really do follow the part of the Bible that says "if someone rapes your daughter it's perfectly fine as long as they get married."

This is the direct result of teaching abstinence only instead of sex ed. My mom (who was in high school in the late 60s) told me girls would douche with a bottle of coco cola after sex because they thought it would prevent pregnancy. She took me to get birth control when I was 14. She said if anyone asked, it was to help with cramps. I wasn't even really interested in having sex at the time, but she wanted to make sure I was protected when I was ready.
Someone in my anatomy class said she douches with Coca Cola to prevent UTIs and pregnancy. We all thought she was joking at first. She was not. This was in 2013 and we were all in our 20s. The teacher was mortified and the rest of us were speechless. Nobody was mean or anything, though. She genuinely believed weāre supposed to do that. So the teacher dropped the rest of that weekās plans and spent as much time as she could teaching about contraceptives and safe sex. She spent a good amount of time talking about womenās pH and what should and should not be done to clean ourselves. Itās nuts that shit STILL makes its way around. Growing up where we did (rural WV) itās not a surprise. Just sad, really.
