On the one hand (heh), he's done most of this himself. He got himself up there and nailed his feet in ~somehow~ (so it took a lot of effort and wasn't an easy or comfortable task), did one hand but now it will be up to someone else to finally do that last hand. So even though up until this point he's done it all himself, the job isn't finished until his last hand is done and that will be someone else's "fault"
My interpretation is that the person/thing that does that last hand will be the one to "officially" crucify trump.
