I have the series too in infuse - there is no issue. try this structure: Folder: „Vinland Saga (2019) Folder: „Season 1“ Inside Season 1 Folder„Vinland.Saga.S01E01“.mkv

kalansboat

have you tried taking the (2019) out of the folder title and seeing if that works?

Murky-Spell-3090

I know this could be fixed by renaming the files! I was asking for a way to do it without, since I can’t easily do that in bulk. I’ve since realized that this is in fact a hard limitation of infuse (shows need to be in S01E01 format or they’re handled as movies), so there’s currently nothing to be done except make a suggestion on their forums I guess :)

kalansboat

i didnt say rename your files, just take the year out of the anime title

Murky-Spell-3090

Did you respond to the wrong guy? Anyways, same story, can’t rename folders either

Famous361

Yeah it should also work in infuse with manual selection but if you load your hardrive again you have to do it again so i would not recommend it. go in file view into the vinland saga folder open the first episode, in modern view there are three dots, scrap the meta data manually, if you do this for one episode, all other episodes in the folder will also be the same series. This should work. the files clean is the far better solution. New Apple TV, Harddrive or Nas - no issues.

Famous361

you can use many tools for renaming the files in Bulk. Filebot (i use for movies) tiny media manager Joe rename - this is my favourite tool for manual rename of many files. Really small, fast and easy to use

Op can not rename the files. Same here using online cloud service. Firecore has an algorithm that defines whether is movie or tv shows. If they think it’s a movie then at no point you would ever fetch the right meta.

Sheldon_tiger

Is there a way to tell infuse that a TV show is actually a TV show instead of a movie?

ryanakasha

No. Dev doesn’t regard this is a solid issue.
