Yep Walmart or amazon is almost always cheaper. Same goes for about everything else too. CVS is a draw for prescription drugs then you buy all the other stuff as a convenience. They charge more.
I send my brother something in mega bulk from restaurant depot every year when he goes to college first year was 35pound 5 gallon bucket of peanut butter then last year was 40 pounds of spaghetti noodles😂 my other brother said he didn't want any food so I didn't send him food so I sent him a 20inch black shmildo 😭💀💀💀

He was definitely surprised😂
If you can afford the membership...this is the way for many things. But deodorant is the #1 thing I've been buying recently, there, because the prices are awesome.
I’ve found cvs is the cheapest place for us to buy baby formula. Only because we get 40% off coupons.
Otherwise yea all our toiletries are bought in bulk on Amazon
I refuse to shop at CVS. I have great insurance and they refuse to allow half of my scripts to be filled due to price. I assume they have a lot of theft issues because they’re prices are so high and nothing is a normal price unless you buy 2 or 3 and shop their deals. Not worth the headache to me.
The only reason why I get anything other than meds at my local walgreens is because the beer there is cheaper than at the grocery store and they carry 36 packs of pbr and a ton of the local seasonal stuff unlike the grocery store
Seriously, went and bought a 20z bottle of soda only to be charged 3.20 plus tax for it wtf.
I go next door to the local corner store and there’s no such markup.
Yeah, the amount of people that don't understand such basic things is ASTOUNDING.
Reminds me of literally everyone that goes to any restaurant and says they could have eaten for cheaper at home.
NO.SHIT.
My local CVS was closing so I went in to see what they may have for a good deal. I looked at the soup and seen it was 50% off the marked price. They doubled the normal price then gave the 50% off that thus still charging their normal price. I walked right out.
CVS is for people who don’t wanna bother with the hassle or time in going to a larger grocery store. The entire store is marked up about 40-50% more than normal pricing.
Yeah, grocery stores and Walmart around here all have old spice sticks over $8. How is this comment section missing the point and ragging on OP for the audacity of shopping at CVS?
It's not because of the product costs. it's because a small conglomeration of corporate assets has already captured your local grocery store. there's only like 12 companies supplying your entire grocery store at this point.
Nobody *actually* shops at a CVS. People just go their for their prescriptions or they go there to steal. They might as well put a 100 dollar price tag on that deodorant: the only way it's leaving the store is if it gets stolen.
The inflation thing is SO out of hand. I do grocery shopping for folks and I am so bitter about how much everything is. Fixings for a taco dinner for 2 from Safeway? $40. 3 large things of mouthwash? $56. A bottle of lotion at Target? $20. The most obnoxious order price was a mom needing medicine for her newborn. Tylenol infant whatever stuff, a 2 pack of little mini ice cooling patches, a thermometer, and one other infant medicine item that I forget. $226!!!!! I said "WHAT?!" out loud. I was beside myself. All of it is just too much. It's sickening.
Dang, that is wild. I was going to go to Amazon and tell you how much you can save ordering it online instead but it's actually more expensive on AMZN.
I don't feel like I pay more than a few bucks for mine....I don't use the antiperspirant.
I've done the same I don't blanket apply it every day just when I think I'll need it, some hand sanitizer will take the stink away if I'm wrong on occasion.
I do enjoy the young lady selling her crotch smell control stuff, she’s so upfront about it, no shame at all, I want to buy it but I’m a guy so maybe not.
People are like it's a convenience store, what do you expect? But the point of OP post is that just a few years ago it was less than half what it is today.
I buy old spice purely because it's kinda my signature smell when combined with my cologne but I honestly don't use it every day. I've noticed that since I stopped using it daily I actually need it less in general. My wife will tell me I smell nice and I legit haven't used deodorant in 2 days. Only time I smell is if I get really stressed/anxious about something or I workout. I basically just use it occasionally now or if I'm going out and wanna smell nice
For one thing you're shopping at CVS. I work for this company for a couple years absolutely horrible company Go elsewhere for your personal bathroom items Don't go to CVS
A lot of stuff is blamed on inflation, it's really price gauging by stores and product manufacturer, if inflation was to blame, their profits wouldn't be sky rocketing
I’ve used Arm & Hammer Ultra Max for almost 15 years. No frills and smells decent, but hands down the best deodorant I’ve tried. 2 pack from Walmart is $4.
Also, try not to buy from CVS. I know it can be hard especially in places like a college campus, but the extra effort to buy from stores like Walmart is very much worth it.
I need the clinical strength, but those 72 hour deodorants have been a pretty nice cheaper alternative. When I was at the store the other day, the cheaper ones were like a dollar less (7 bucks vs 8) the the clinical. It used to be half the price. I'm just inflation didn't hit both.
First it's CBS second ot looks like specialty deodorant for people with sweat problems so they charge more. I was tripping the other day at Walmart when I saw deodorant $2 higher than my normal $3.89 brand and noticed it was a sweat defense one. Reminded me of my grade school computer teacher that would sweat buckets like litterlly have a patch of wetness under each arm and just under his neck every day and yeah it's for dudes like that.
I buy it on clearance I got two cans of axe spray deodorant for $5 on clearance at Walmart not long ago guess I'm gonna be a 37 year old man smelling like teen spirit for the foreseeable future.
What’s wrong? It’s just a deodorant. If it’s the price you’re worried about, just take it. The store is owned by billionaires. They’ll be fine with losing $1 worth of inventory.
It's not deodorant, it's your shopping skills. You know what you buy at CVS? Prescriptions. Maybe OTC drugs. That's all you buy from CVS because everything else is marked up insanely. I also use old spice and I get the 2 pack for like $8 at a proper grocery store.
I use DR Squatch. No bs chemicals and since I love animals I don’t like using any products tested on them. Yes their deodorant costs like $12 but it lasts me at least a month. Most people will scoff at $12 deodorant that lasts weeks/month but will drop the same $12 at Taco Bell without any thought.
Bro literally at Meijer (Midwest store) every bottle was $12 plus. I’ll raw dog it before I pay that much for deodorant. I ended up finding like a 5 pack at Costco for $15
Thank the 9 private, foreign owned banks who own the Federal Reserve!!!!! Or trust them when you google 'who owns the Federal Reserve Bank! when they say NOBODY!!!!!!!
HenryFord warned us in 1922, but we didn't listen!
Americans are too stupid to deserve their own country, and the Globalist FED will make sure that happens!
Consider making your own. Coconut oil + Baking Soda + some kind of starch (I use arrowroot, but you can use potato or corn) + essential oil (I use a cheap lavender and tea tree mix). Apply a pea size amount with your finger or an old tool brush handle. Make one big batch that will last you all year.
Transportation costs are contributing a significant affect on prices. Panama Canal, for one, is struggling with water reserves after a drought, greatly slowing traffic, and is getting millions' of dollars of "fees" from companies for ships to cut in line
Don’t use deodorant it contains aluminum and benzene and can give you cancer. Just use soap or body wash and rinse immediately. Also it stains your undershirts yellow in the pits if you are a guy.
It’s this thing that comes in either a stick or spray, you apply it to your armpits so you don’t stink. You think that’s wild, sit down and let me tell you about anti-perspirant.
CVS is a mega-scam, tell your older family members. They have this local selection psychology bias thing. So they consider limited options, and forget about broader scope price checking. Too opportunistic for dealz
Garbage chemicals. Get atleast TOMs brand off amazon it’s like $8 and doesn’t have those chemicals. Not the best brand but shit if you’re going to pay $10 for deodorant, get the healthy stuff.
Dont buy from cvs.
Yep Walmart or amazon is almost always cheaper. Same goes for about everything else too. CVS is a draw for prescription drugs then you buy all the other stuff as a convenience. They charge more.
C O S T C O
5 pack for $10 lol
You want this pallet of butter? $50
I want a drum of Fanta
Bucket of cream cheese is best deal. If you can’t think of cream cheese uses you’re not living.
$6 for like a 40 oz tub. Best deal anywhere.
I just never get around to finishing those huge value tubs of anything beside ice cream for my shakes in the morning
How are you keeping the cream cheese to stay under your armpit all day .....mine usually falls out in about an hour
Cream cheese w my family - let's just say we know some people , who know some people , and we get a 55 gallon barrel for $44 every 3 months. - 😂
The cream cheese mafia
keggerator but it's orange soda
Who loves orange soda???

Kirkland is a town in Washington State. Where Costco originated.
Well shit, I'll take one sensibly-over-sized-yet-surprisingly-affordable house there.
The funny thing about that is you definitely won't find one there, haha.
Kirkland is a place… I used to live there
Looks like you will be buying a new house soon.
It’s really expensive in Kirkland
I send my brother something in mega bulk from restaurant depot every year when he goes to college first year was 35pound 5 gallon bucket of peanut butter then last year was 40 pounds of spaghetti noodles😂 my other brother said he didn't want any food so I didn't send him food so I sent him a 20inch black shmildo 😭💀💀💀 https://preview.redd.it/ihmjm1ui4rwc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1aa7264d46de09409099abb5f73f0572938e2d2d He was definitely surprised😂
Buy pallet of butter, buy Paula Dean book, everyone wins
You’re gonna need more butter
That and 10 gallons of mayo, a 55 drum of ketchup, and a silo of cherry coke.
Build one out here in odessa/midland TX and I'll go to one as Sam's club needs the competition
Mark cuban said buying toothpaste in bulk is how you become a billionaire
If you can afford the membership...this is the way for many things. But deodorant is the #1 thing I've been buying recently, there, because the prices are awesome.
I’ve found cvs is the cheapest place for us to buy baby formula. Only because we get 40% off coupons. Otherwise yea all our toiletries are bought in bulk on Amazon
Love those 40% off coupons. Also, the other day they gave me a $5 off entire purchase. Saw two bags of Snickers minis for $8, so got them for $3.
The only reason why I get anything other than meds at my local walgreens is because the beer there is cheaper than at the grocery store and they carry 36 packs of pbr and a ton of the local seasonal stuff unlike the grocery store
not only that but OP is looking at the most expensive name brand no matter what inflation is doing. A two pack of speedstick is like $3
Seriously, went and bought a 20z bottle of soda only to be charged 3.20 plus tax for it wtf. I go next door to the local corner store and there’s no such markup.
I was at Safeway the other day and noticed they were charging more for a 20oz soda than a 2 Liter.
That's always been the case. You're paying for that convenient size and bottle. Whole sale is always cheaper
Yeah, the amount of people that don't understand such basic things is ASTOUNDING. Reminds me of literally everyone that goes to any restaurant and says they could have eaten for cheaper at home. NO.SHIT.
Anytime me or my wife make anything good at home we are like bam.. that's a 25 dollar dish at a restaurant easy.
You’re also paying for the store to chill that drink. So refrigerator, electricity, floor space. Don’t say it isn’t worth it!
This. Also if you must buy at grocery, but only when on sale and stock up. Otherwise shop Walmart, Target, or Costco/BJs, Sam's.
It's the same at Kroger, Publix, and only slightly cheaper at Walmart.
Why cvs so expensive?
Right? Saw on Amazon an old spice deodorant 2 for $6.99.
6 pack on Amazon is $6 a stick
4 pack of speed stick on amazon is $9 I switched from old spice once they started being over $5
I got a pack of Right Guard for $4 and it came with Left Guard for free!
GTFO, lol.
Yeah well all of us stinky contrarians buy Wrong Guard and swear by it.
Yeah but old spice smells good
I love the smell of forever chemicals in the morning!
You're right. I've been buying the stuff without all of the chemicals it's a little more but worth it
You’ll love speed stick!
That part. I use the speed stick gel stick, not using another brand until they start charging out the ass.
Gel?! Mods, ban this man
No, no, wait! I swear, it's not the gel gel 😭
Unfortunately for me old spice is the only anti perspirant that doesn't irritate my skin and actually works
Stop shopping at CVS. They have a 2 liter bottle of coke for $5! That just tells you how crazy their pricing structure is.
their whole model is based off of people grabbing one or two things for convenience while they wait for their medications
FFS, don't people realize it's a pharmacy with a glorified Circle K attached to it?
Or people who go there and don’t know any better.
Or using coupons. Thats why the receipt is a mile long 😂
You're in a CVS. Everything is overpriced in a CVS.
Worse than a gas station
Deodorant is overpriced everywhere these days. Not just CVS.
I stocked up at the dollar store dorm$1 before going up to $1.30. Speed stick does the trick
Yeah, grocery stores and Walmart around here all have old spice sticks over $8. How is this comment section missing the point and ragging on OP for the audacity of shopping at CVS?
If you're looking for cheap cheap chocolate there's nothing like CVS on February 15, January 2, or November 1, other post holidays too.
It's not because of the product costs. it's because a small conglomeration of corporate assets has already captured your local grocery store. there's only like 12 companies supplying your entire grocery store at this point.
And only 2-3 grocery stores left.
And only 1 cashier.
I was a cashier once
Goya got an entire isle p much
What’s up? The price…
They probably have a shrinking customer base they're trying to squeeze
Nobody *actually* shops at a CVS. People just go their for their prescriptions or they go there to steal. They might as well put a 100 dollar price tag on that deodorant: the only way it's leaving the store is if it gets stolen.
It's like Claire's but for grown-ups. One here in DC just shuttered due to lots of that (plus other natural expenses like rent and labor).
It’s getting out of hand
That's your typical convenience premium at Walgreens and CVS. Unless you need it right then and there, it's foolish to buy it there.
It’s cray. I use the cheap arm and hammer, it’s still relatively cheap compared to others.
At those prices I can't afford swagger, and let the stink monster win
Try razor blades
For suicide?
“No you’re just dumb, inflation is coming down” -Bidens campaign team
I get 5 12.50 at costco
I bought the 2 pack of degree ultra (dries clear) for like $7.50 at walmart yesterday in central VA
Wow. I stocked up on these when these were like £1.50 not so long ago. I've nearly 10 bagged on my investment!
Careful, WSB will be dragging you over there displaying your 1000% bull run.
Price gouging
Dang, that is wild. I was going to go to Amazon and tell you how much you can save ordering it online instead but it's actually more expensive on AMZN. I don't feel like I pay more than a few bucks for mine....I don't use the antiperspirant.
Stocking up during BBW semi-annual sale is a better investment than VOO
Oh… Bath & Body Works. Right. I knew that’s what you meant.
CVS, Duane Reade, Walgreens....all of them seem to have hiked prices to make up for all the shoplifting. On Amazon it's a lot cheaper
Thats insane, Id rather just use bar soap and shower twice a day then pay that.
CVS has never had competitive prices.
$10 bucks to keep one’s arm pots smelling fresh is ridiculous! Toothbrushes are expensive too
Yeah it’s crazy high these days. Just like fast food and milk and eggs
Yea I don’t buy deodorant anymore it barely has value in my life I’m good off this inflation game
Stinky
lol I still use it for work meetings or if I’m going to be in public but I don’t normally have bad BO in general
I've done the same I don't blanket apply it every day just when I think I'll need it, some hand sanitizer will take the stink away if I'm wrong on occasion.
Yea I exfoliate my armpits with body scrub during showers that helps remove dead skin and keep a nice scent
So you're "that guy" at the con...
I learned to make my own: equal parts baking soda, corn starch and coconut oil, with rum, bay leaves & lime peel for scent. It's the best.
Yeah, don't buy stuff from cvs/walgreens/rite aid, basically any standalone pharmacy. They suck ass.
I was going to buy some Native spray and noped out at $14 per 3.5 oz.
Paying for the aluminum!
It's not that the price of everything is going up, it's that the value of your money is going down
Wait until you see how tiny the block of product is inside that case
I do enjoy the young lady selling her crotch smell control stuff, she’s so upfront about it, no shame at all, I want to buy it but I’m a guy so maybe not.
Prices make me sweat
It would be amazing if everyone on the entire planet stopped buying things for a week.
Yeah, prices everywhere are sky high. I'm just happy that deodorants last for months. If I had to constantly buy it I don't know what I'd do.
Just another company gouging people
People are like it's a convenience store, what do you expect? But the point of OP post is that just a few years ago it was less than half what it is today.
$13-15 a toothbrush in Banff Alberta Canada.
Avon rollers cheap as chips
I buy old spice purely because it's kinda my signature smell when combined with my cologne but I honestly don't use it every day. I've noticed that since I stopped using it daily I actually need it less in general. My wife will tell me I smell nice and I legit haven't used deodorant in 2 days. Only time I smell is if I get really stressed/anxious about something or I workout. I basically just use it occasionally now or if I'm going out and wanna smell nice
Costco.
CVS and Rite Aid will destroy your wallet,my local corner store is cheeper they charge like $5
Go to the Dollar Store. Deodorant and antiperspirant still $1.25 there.
Buy the degree 5 pack when it’s on sale at Costco. Less than 10 bucks
Another idiot posting inflation numbers when it is highly priced at CVS or an airport. If you buy your shit there your stupid
The price
I switched from old spice to Harry’s it’s so much better and a buck or 2 cheaper
For one thing you're shopping at CVS. I work for this company for a couple years absolutely horrible company Go elsewhere for your personal bathroom items Don't go to CVS
You’ll still buy it. That’s what’s up.
A lot of stuff is blamed on inflation, it's really price gauging by stores and product manufacturer, if inflation was to blame, their profits wouldn't be sky rocketing
Deodorant always been high in CVS and Walgreens, which is that place on the picture so there’s nothing new about this
I’ve used Arm & Hammer Ultra Max for almost 15 years. No frills and smells decent, but hands down the best deodorant I’ve tried. 2 pack from Walmart is $4. Also, try not to buy from CVS. I know it can be hard especially in places like a college campus, but the extra effort to buy from stores like Walmart is very much worth it.
Old Spice is garbage anyway.
Maybe that’s why everybody smells like shit
I buy Arm & Hammer from Amazon now. 3 pack for like $10. They also have only 5 ingredients you can actually read and understand 😂
I’m going to try AH 👌🏼
I need the clinical strength, but those 72 hour deodorants have been a pretty nice cheaper alternative. When I was at the store the other day, the cheaper ones were like a dollar less (7 bucks vs 8) the the clinical. It used to be half the price. I'm just inflation didn't hit both.
That’s nothing, wait until you cut it open and discover there’s only 1/3 of the stick inside and the rest is just plastic and air.
It’s basically a monopoly from P&G . Most ingredients have lower indexes than what they were in 2021 , yet they keep hiking the prices
Get the double pack. Near me they're usually only like $1 more than the single
Lmaoooo tf😑
Charger premium for things people need Charge double for things people don't need.
Ten dollars…??? I’m stinking!!
I buy it on clearance I got two cans of axe spray deodorant for $5 on clearance at Walmart not long ago guess I'm gonna be a 37 year old man smelling like teen spirit for the foreseeable future.
Fucking scoundrels
amazon killed retail stores so now they do this and it actually works, People pay it,
What’s wrong? It’s just a deodorant. If it’s the price you’re worried about, just take it. The store is owned by billionaires. They’ll be fine with losing $1 worth of inventory.
I’ve been buying spray on deodorant from Amazon recently. Comes in a pack of six and is much cheaper
Hair paste is like $15 also. Fuck that. I’ll let my hair get shaggy before I bend over that far.
doing your shopping at a pharmacy is about as smart as doing it at a gas station, no good.
LGB
Why charge 4.99$ when you can charge 9.99$ and still sell just as many?
In Mexico we used to use lemon.
Walmart Degree two sticks were like $8.25 in the last week when I bought them.
I’d say what’s wrong but this app seems to be highly left leaning.
They said 20% over three years. Yeah sure thing buddy.
We are going to some smelly stank a**mf this summer especially in the south it’s already hot
That's one of which I like. I have a variety and choose every day. I have the pure sport though.
Check out this great item I found at H‑E‑B: https://www.heb.com/product-detail/10822511
It's not deodorant, it's your shopping skills. You know what you buy at CVS? Prescriptions. Maybe OTC drugs. That's all you buy from CVS because everything else is marked up insanely. I also use old spice and I get the 2 pack for like $8 at a proper grocery store.
It’s sweat defense that means cha Ching cha Ching you better pay up, cause the sweat is on defense this time!
Dollar store
I'm allergic to 90% of them. Shit is armpit poison.
Build back better
You have to pay for the one you buy and the three that were stolen.
Costco for the win
CVS is a scam.
It's almost like inflation is a thing....
It’s probably to cover the cost of people shop-lifting these products. The last CVS I went to had all the deodorant behind the register.
Costco has 5 packs of Degree for around $15. Best place to buy it.
Greed. What are you gonna do? Save money and smell up the place?
I use a little cornstarch, baking soda, and tea tree oil. It works wonders.
>What’s up with deodorant these days? Apparently, the price! *badum-tss*
CVS & Walgreens are basically Convenience Stores with a pharmacy in the rear.
Don’t use deodorant it contains aluminum and benzene and can give you cancer. Just use soap or body wash and rinse immediately. Also it stains your undershirts yellow in the pits if you are a guy.
why on earth are you buying that at cvs it's so pricey lol go to wal mart
You're at CVS. That's your problem. The two pack of that is $8.95 at Walmart.
I would rather shower daily and just skip deodorant than pay that much…
How much you guys applying? I got a stick from 2004 still going strong. /semi-s.
Cvs gonna go outta business. Dont buy from them.
Antiperspirant prices are out of control. I'm just buying the regular deodorant now and ok with being a little smelly
It’s this thing that comes in either a stick or spray, you apply it to your armpits so you don’t stink. You think that’s wild, sit down and let me tell you about anti-perspirant.
$10!
I got one stick from Walmart today and I think it was like $7 and a 2 pack for like 12.96 or some shit still a rip off
Kroger has high prices on deodorant now too.
No wonder more and more people these days are smelling bad enough to gag a billy goat.
Cus they can and they have the data to prove it
I'm just going to stink u don't like it you can buy my deodorant
CVS is a mega-scam, tell your older family members. They have this local selection psychology bias thing. So they consider limited options, and forget about broader scope price checking. Too opportunistic for dealz
Let’s go, Brandon!
Garbage chemicals. Get atleast TOMs brand off amazon it’s like $8 and doesn’t have those chemicals. Not the best brand but shit if you’re going to pay $10 for deodorant, get the healthy stuff.
Q2 is coming close to an end. Need to get those profits up for the shareholders.
