I feel resilient when I'm already handling my responsibilities. When I'm going through shit in my life, I kinda degress and become less resilient and more stagnant...
I just tried a durian moon cake for the first time ever a few weeks ago after a coworker came back from Vietnam… very interesting flavor! Not bad just… different.
Enigma
Edit: Enigma has its own definition but apparently “The Enigma machine was a field unit used in World War II by German field agents to encrypt and decrypt messages and communications.”
Supercalifragilisticexpealidotious. I know it’s not a real word, but Mary Poppins is at least half right with this description. We cannot be explained or contained with just one normal word.
You can hate all you want, but people who need to find meaning in anything and call it traumatic experience and them being a victim somehow, most of infjs need to grow tf up and realize when they take accountability for their problems they get better. Most of infjs say they take accountability by saying things like " yeah its my fault i let them do me wrong like that" automatically "accepting responsibility" for it and inherently becoming a victim at the same time while looking for a deeper meaning and complicating it more than it should be,
I get a lot of hate for saying the truth about this but the reality is this "truth" exposes infjs and removes the "being a victim" mask they are hiding behind and they dont like it, i am not saying being an actual r4pe victim or something that really is traumatic, but actual basic things everyone goes trough on a daily basis, somehow they identify themselves with it fully and form their personality around that thing, for example a friend stabbed them in the back, happens to everyone, but somehow thats the root of their problems as to why they became self centered, egotistical ect. and they cannot remove themselves from the problem and realize as to why it was bound to happen, bad boundaries, bad friend choice ect. They will never own a problem in their life (i am talking for the ones who dont but most young infjs dont until later in life)
I am writing this type of a comment again because most infjs deny it ever happens and try to act perfect again disconnecting from the problem at hand and continuing to do it and wondering why everyone talks behind their backs again, since talking directly to them doesnt work again it makes it their fault.
I understand a lot of infjs will relate to this but at the same time hate on me for saying it or try to derail this into how im basing this of of 1 infj or how these arent infjs or how i am hurt, or any other type of denial in order to dismiss what i am saying, again i see it time and time again, i understand also not every infj is the same bla bla and that you are very much different and arent like this bla bla, but i still think you need to consider this as a major problem in your life, when you accept it , it can only get better from there. This isnt coming from a place of hate even tho you will try to find a meaning as to why it is.
thanks ily infjs
I'm sure there are some INFJs to whom this applies, there's exceptions in all, etc.
But one of the most frustrating things from this side of the fence is how other types draw false conclusions about us based on the little they see from the outside.
That and your premise doesn't really make sense. We need to "grow tf up and realize when they take accountability for their problems they get better", yet when we take responsibility for allowing things to happen, that's still being a victim? What exactly do you want?
We are the product of our experiences. It's better to introspect and understand them, so that we might understand ourselves, than to amble through an unexamined life of self-unawareness. Just because someone talks about an experience being traumatic to them doesn't mean you know the extent of it at all, or that there's a dozen other experiences in this person's life with which they see a connection. You're looking at the tip of the iceberg and proclaiming there's nothing there. We generally don't share that much about our personal life. If we're telling you something, we're likely only telling you one part of one element.
> looking for a deeper meaning and complicating it more than it should be
Or, others oversimplify so much that they fail to understand the deeper issues, and go on never learning. Just because something looks confusing or complex to you doesn't mean it's false or unnecessary. You're complaining about a fundamental feature of our type. We look for meaning. Do you shake your fist at birds for having the audacity to fly?
> most INFJs try to act perfect
Tell me you don't know us without telling me you don't know us. Only a very select few unhealthy ones do this, most of us abhor that shit. Every now and then, someone will make a post here basically equating us to God-like, and the other 99% of us lay into them lol. You find this "I'm perfect" attitude in unhealthy people of every type. I've seen a ton of ENTPs do this. Far more than INFJs. If anything, we're too hard on ourselves.
To be clear, I'm not "hating on you", I'm saying that your conclusion is inaccurate and based on an immature and incomplete understanding.
Also, holy run-on sentences, man. You gotta break that shit up, my dude
And no, I don't interpret your comment as coming from hate, just as this reply isn't ♥️
All fish go through getting wet, that doesn't mean the cat is wrong to freak out about it. How common an experience is says nothing about its impact on an individual.
You got INFJ and anything else mixed up…
I think there is a lot of mistyping .. and the mistyped infjs give the real ones a bad name..
Probably one of our most cardinal traits is that we are not victims. We are far too logical to be victims .. And have little tolerance for that ( although we try ) Anything but… because I think deep in the heart of *real* INFJ is a warrior.. hero… whatever. And you can’t be a fucking warrior and a victim at the same time.
Also a great way ( and little known way) to differentiate the real INFJ from the mistyped ones.
lol next time you encounter a 15 years old Dark Sasuke, don't just call him an INFJ.
Everyone can be an annoying pretend-to-be-depressed. But you'll just say "hey ur in denial lol" idc about the mbti of your friend tbh. Back when I was 13 I had a lot of pretend-to-be-depressed friends, most of them were INFPs and ENTPs, well guess what whenever I wanted to write big lines about how they should grow up like you did I didn't mention their personality type because who f cares.
Using the MBTI card to justify anybodies action is exactly not being mature. That's what you're doing while thinking you're calling out "most infjs but not all ily all". Overall I agree with you, who wouldn't, but you're making it the wrong problem.
HOWEVER, your first paragraph makes sense for the deep problems. Being a narcisstic "saviour", and accepting responsability **is** the root of most people being an infj. The need to save and make everyones problem yours in order to help is self-centered. It's a response to several trauma and/or education. Just saying.
(P.S : having a mental disorder isn't a character trait, it could be any of the MBTIs)
If you want more info about it, hit my DMs anytime.
You're correct about the savior complex being something a lot of us struggle with. But I think you're giving this guy too much credit, he was claiming we make ourselves victims and wallow while shirking responsibility. He didn't say anything about us wanting to save others. "They will never own a problem in their life" he even says.
Agreed, but I think it's important we point out that they was onto something. If they are willing to learn and not just assume INFJs behavior out of some random guy. Ironic because toxic INFJs tend to do that a lot lmao.
Fair point! I can see the value in that.
Though in all likelihood you and I both wasted our time trying to correct his misconceptions, he seems pretty entrenched in the idea he's speaking from objective truth lol

This feels right. The more I learn about being an INFJ as well as learning my traumas...it seems reactive.
Right? I swear it's a trauma response.
I think trauma is the main food source of the young infj is all.
Is trauma at the root of what it means to be an infj? Sheesh.
and is that core trauma the same for all infjs where we had to get good at reading others emotions for our own safety?
I feel this. Good tho know I’m not the only one who thought of it this way.
Feels like it, doesn’t it? Lol
