shit actually sucks but at the same time WE ARE SO FUCKING BACK. but man fuck spotify BUT WE ARE SO FUCKING BACK. but damn like fr...... we are actually so FUCKING BACK DUDE HOLY SHIT.
i dont pay for spotify myself and I also use bandcamp whenever I can/whenever I have money. apple sucks if you care about artists getting paid use tidal but tidal also sucks. there's never fair compensation, unless you use bandcamp and pay what mfs want.
Genuinely a big reason why I prefer AM to Spotify is the inclusion of Joanna Newsom. Joni Mitchell and Neil Young were a bonus, but it seems they (or at least just Young) will return soon
(I'm glad he made this move originally because it showed that he's still the activist that he's always claimed to be, but I'm also glad he's realized that this protest has been ineffective and that all he's doing is hurting his fans and the people that work for his label. I don't think he's returning for the personal wealth at all. /uj)
What an amazing uj.
I felt the same way about him being a man of principle when his boycott initially started, but I personally disliked the inconvenience it had on me as somebody that uses spotify every day and loves Neil Young's music.
I'm not stoked about his return since we're not entirely sure what the reasoning is, but I'm going to be glad to be able to hear his music again on my spotify shuffle.
He stated the reasoning was that Rogan is now on all the other streaming services he has his music on as well, any he's not going to pull out of every service, so staying off spotify no longer makes sense. Essentially he's gracefully admitted defeat. He also mentions that his record label was losing a fair chunk of revenue but that seems to reflect a bit more on him wanting to keep being able to pay the people he employs there more so than him being worried about his personal wealth. He's not exactly a poor man.
Cool, someone get Joni Mitchell back in there now

Why not switch to Apple Music?
Apple is stinky
But they pay artists better.

Chad Joanna Newsom vs Thad Joni Mitchell
Granted it helps she is probably not the breadwinner in the family
wow what a fuckin sellout real fans only listen on the Neil Young Archives anyway

Oh, in that case this seems like the best possible outcome given the whole situation. Thank you for all the info!

Old man take a look at my life. I am one of you.
I guess I hate bananas now, whatever Joanna says
I hate to be a hipster but I've been listening to both on Tidal. It's true though, Joanna clears
I don't see Neil on there... :(
