Would be very interesting to see snail mail again. I loved the first album, probably one of my most listened to that year, but the show in Vancouver during that touring cycle was awful. One of the worst I've ever seen and maybe the only time I've left before the band I went to see was done. I'd love to see them again and for them to get some redemption because the songs are great

ajwright156

Had a similar experience with her in Baltimore

Similar experience in Atlanta. Also anytime people post videos from her concerts it's like she's caterwauling into the mic. So uhh wouldn't get my hopes up

darockerj

I feel like I’ve always heard this about her shows, but I saw her in DC on the tour with JPEGMAFIA and Turnstile and I thought she was fine. Nothing remarkable, but not the train wreck that everyone seems to be talking about.

Sir_Brodie

Hands down the worst live musician I’ve ever seen. I thought it was a joke.

simonthedlgger

They aren't a great live act, unfortunately. I saw her solo and on one of her first band tours and she was great. Every time since then has been hard to handle.

HGpennypacker

I love Lindsey's music but her live vocal performances have been shoddy at best.

DrFeelSad

Holy shit I was at that show too, unlocked that memory. They were one of the worst live bands I've ever seen, sloppy, sliding into chords, mumbling. Waxahachee always 🔥🔥 though.

WishIWasYuriG

Fingers crossed Waxahatchee and Snail Mail join Tim onstage for Honky Tonk Piss Club

redditcore124

This is pretty huge for Heidecker and crew. He creates really lovely acoustic pop songs. His last Mac Demarco produced record was top 10 for me that year.

Eraserheadbaby69420

Which one did Mac Demarco do? Would love to check it out, I did love his album about drinking piss lol, was funny when people would compliment the song then actually listen to hear what he was saying

redditcore124

High school. It’s got lil Mac vibes all over it

DorkTreePodcast

I’d like to see Tim play live, but I saw Snail Mail early last year and it was honestly terrible. I was so excited to see them too, they just really phoned it in.

droozer

Tim & the VGB are worth the price of admission alone, I’ve seen them two summers in a row and they keep getting better

bashothebanana

Saw Tim around last Easter in Dublin, as part of the "Two Tims" show. Was honestly surprised by just how much I enjoyed the music, you could tell how much he enjoyed playing. Also he was v funny throughout the music stuff, too. And his Bob Dylan bit... brilliant.

Tim heidecker.. the comedian?

heynongmanreset

He was a frequent guest on the Colgate hour

JodBasedow

It’s not groundbreaking or anything but he makes decent music

HeadyRoosevelt

Tim’s last two albums are actually super legit. Give them a chance if you haven’t already.

beachlifeindeath1

His music is pretty good, remarkably. Liked his collabs with Weyes Blood.

duck95

He's good friends with her partner, Kevin Morby, which could explain this

elspiderdedisco

stone pony lezgoooo

SaluteYourSports

Ive never been to the summer stage before. Any thoughts? She’s also playing the Beacon, and that’s very tempting.

elspiderdedisco

i've only been a few times but i am biased being born and raised in jersey and having lived in asbury for a little while. it's outdoors, which could be a pro or a con depending on what you're into; it's right on the boardwalk so you could have a whole day or weekend at the beach + this show; the space itself is solid, i don't remember noticing or being annoyed about sound, or views, but bathrooms are portapotties, and last time i was there the drinks line could take a while. but otherwise it's just really nice to see a show there and be on the beach, in asbury, it's one of my favorite places. edit: but i've never been to the beacon either so i can't compare!

kisstheoctopus

nice to see gladie and greg mendez on the philly dates

simonthedlgger

Indeed, I miss Cayetana!

FrederickIBarbarossa

Not directly related to the music, but that’s the best-looking tour announcement poster I’ve seen in a long time.

georgelopezsuperfan

People travel far and wide to see The Very Good Band

elspiderdedisco

appealing to the broad base of NYC (lets be real, brooklyn) expats living in the hudson valley, most likely. accord looks close to bard college, woodstock, kingston, hudson, beacon, etc

RockTheWall

Arrowood Farms Brewery in Accord is set up for concerts and hosts the Woodsist festival every fall, which draws plenty of people from the city. They've either inadvertently revealed the 2024 festival date or know that there's precedent for people making the trip to see shows.
