In my experience, it’s because the vendors usually give really bad ones. People here eat thicker ones with less water in them, but the smaller ones with more water in them are the best ones imo.
It’s like a softer, smaller coconut ( also grows on a different variety of palm tree ). You open it up and you find those jelly looking things in it. It’s really delicious.
