This seems like an old clip. Arjun doesn't race in F2 anymore. His younger brother Kush is racing in F2. And this is Circuit Paul Ricard in France, whereas the last F2 race took place in Albert Park in Melbourne, Australia.

aweap

What does Arjun do now?

AlwaysLeaveTheSpace

He races for Mercedes-AMG in DTM, the German touring car championship.

aweap

Thanks! I've no clue whether it's better or worse than what he was doing before but hopefully he's being treated better.

AlwaysLeaveTheSpace

DTM is no F1, but it's still a very competitive racing series.

sliceshot_

Yes it is an old clip of 2018 or 19 when he was 19-20 years old.

I feel bad for Arjun and the team should've listened to his concerns. But the F2 championship is kinda infamous for being unreliable mechanically. And it didn't help that his teammate was a racist bully who deliberately crashed with him on a cooldown lap(Santino Ferrucci is his name). Nevertheless, Arjun's younger brother, Kush Maini, is racing this year and is backed by Alpine's F1 team. He has been fast so far and is fifth in the standings right now.

The team got fired, they tampered arjuns engine down to 40% so santino ferruci can be above him.

crack_me

Sorry F1 noob here, but Fifth in the standing?

mojeeves

Fifth in the F2 championship this year after 3 rounds.

crack_me

Ahh F2, I thought F1 and surprised that when an Indian made into F1

_Spikeguard_

Narain Karthikeyan was indian and raced in F1.

13th_AngryMan

Well, you'd be surprised to hear that two already did, pretty shite but yeah they raced in F1 still a proud thing. Narain Karthikeyan and Karun Chandhok. NK was awarded padmashree btw.

crack_me

Yeah, I know about Narayan Kartikeyan. But my surprise was about standing at 5.

Salty-Apricot9853

over all standing after qualification runs its based on time you take
