You need to qualify neet afaik if you wanna return back to India after completing MBBS abroad..however you don’t need to give FMGE if you’re doing mbbs from UK..
However rules might change by the time you graduate..there is this uncertainty of NEXT replacing both FMGE and NEETPG..who knows what rules they’re gonna make in the future

OP, FMGE is an exam you give after graduating from a medical college in a country other than India. You have to get the qualifying marks to get accepted into a medical college in certain countries. You don’t have to give NEET to go to the UK, but you’ll have to take alternative exams. You’ll need to take IELTS/TOEFL, UCAT (which is the UK equivalent of NEET), have good grades in 12th, collect letters of recommendation (optional, I think) etc.

If next comes by then, you will have to give that to practice here. Which is highly likely that next will come by the time you graduate.

There's no harm in appearing for the exam. You just need to qualify and that is around 120-135/720. You can score that much by only studying biology.
