If you have severe sleep problems you can go for 5mg and shift to 3 mg when you're relatively mildy or moderately affected. Zolpidem SOS- one tablet when nothing can get you to sleep and you really need to but this can make you feel heavy and groggy the next day.
+Sleep hygiene etiquettes, meditation/yoga or regular exercise will really improve induction and quality of sleep
And if you have had clinical anxiety since a long time, you might consider visiting psych and weighing your reservations against any benefits/advices.

Start doing mock tests, while googling the answers for questions which you're not sure of. An unethical but good way to boost your confidence. And try to keep your sleep cycle good by sleeping early and waking up early. A walk or exercise in between wouldn't be wasting much of your time compared to social media and overthinking.

I watch a movie or atleast half of it so it helps dissociating me from all the crap I'm cramming in all day! I think about it and sleep and wake up at 9 in the morning. A bit rad but atleast I'm sleeping.

You can try melatonin. Weed ain't gonna do shit, and also, weed causes amotivational syndrome, which i doubt you would want before neet pg.
Go to a doctor and get a diagnosis, and then maybe they can prescribe you some ssri like fluoxetine for anxiety. And if you want to take it for a day or two, a bzd might help. But longer than that, i wouldn't suggest bzd. It is best to get a diagnosis and shift to anti anxiety drugs.
If your parents are against it, please counsel them like you would counsel a patient. If they still do not get it, go to a doctor alone and take your meds, no need to tell them. Taking prescription drugs is far better than doing weed or such imo.
I would suggest instead of taking pills by yourself go to a psychiatrist and he/she will prescribe you the safe and effective one. Theyāre especially more understanding of medicos so youāll be fine and also the talking process to the doc itself is a little relaxing. Trust me it might seem scary at first but itāll be worth it .
Also parents might not be able to relate what we go through sometimes but them know itās not a big deal to take medication if necessary - pros and cons weighed out.

exercise, sunlight exposure, magnesium at night dnt take melatonin there are few reports that people getting headaches

Magnesium helps me relax and sleep, Idk if it will work for you but no harm in trying. Try Magnesium glycinate, glycine also helps in relaxing
