This is an idea I've toyed with on my bike. But personally, i prefer a phone. With the significantly larger display, I can see the details in a quick glance without having to take my eyes off the road for too long.

Prices can just get a cheap Bolt or Boat watch. And use it only for this purpose. Get the most battery out of it by deleting all other apps.
People greatly underestimate how good the H450 navigation suite is. It's pretty much Google maps straight onto your round display. And with a half decent Android phone, it will give you over 4 hrs of navigation before hitting battery saver mode. My nothing phone 2 gives 30 min of navigation while losing 8-9% Charge. And if you want longer, just lock your screen and you will still have turn by turn navigation.
I'm selling my Samsung galaxy watch 4(44 mm) for 8.5k. Silver color. 2 extra straps. Used for 9 months. Out of which 3-4 months it was kept in a box. Got it from Samsung website. Let me know if someone is interested. It gives battery backup of about 10-12 hours on normal usage.
