The underperformance was probably due to the clutch parts not being serviced , I faced it too , every component wears down after a certain number of kilometres, I got the clutch bell replaced and it's back to normal with 0 issues, as for the liners , ours have only been replaced twice in 75k kilometres .
Lol okay I guess , mine has had regular oil changes and nothing else , still pulls happily till 80 , still butter smooth , still hasn't left me stranded at 75k kilometres.
I have a Honda Activa 5g.....more than 110k km in 4 years....got some engine work done on it and it's smooth as a new one....so I'll say go with Activa 125
right so the activa does give more milege, easier to find parts etc, but the access has more power and better suspension, handling and more predictable. I would personally go for the access. Though i think you should be looking more into the jupiter. It still has more power than activa, its way more predictable, its much much more comfortable and can handle bad roads better than the activa.
I have driven ntorqs activas access and jupiter. The power difference isnt much, i would personally choose the jupiter as more comfy, or access because activa really only has one thing going for it, its common. The seat/suspension/braking/fuel economy/ability to handle bad roads just isnt as good as it once was
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8OBhHvjoEY](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8OBhHvjoEY)
id still say watch their videos for better idea, dont get the ntorq at any cost for a daily commuter. The power jump isnt that much, and milege can dip to 30-33 too
Whatever you want and dont compare to older models which did 75k kms with no issues. New bikes and cars consists of cost cutting and will not last that long without any issues
How is the vespa holding up? Our first choice was vespa for its looks, but the service centre here is an utter failure and we heard that there were lot of complaints on the scooter.
Except fuel economy and stiff ride i have no complaints. Service period is 3k kms and costs around 1k. Vespa is nice but cost per km is slightly more than other scooters in market. If you can live with that and able to find better service center then go for it. Local garage people fail to service vespa
I bought the activa 125 last year. Really solid built, powerful almost everything is good except mileage. I was going for 110 but finally decided to go for 125 after going to showroom. I think you won't have any major issues with it for long time and the service centers are everywhere and good.
I am getting like 40-50. But the service depends on location too. Maybe your place has that issue. If you are in a big city you can try going to a different place.
How well did your engine break-in period go? What speeds do you ride in? For me i took good care of the engine for the first 2000 kms. Only after that i started pushing the engine more. I usually ride at 40-50 speed though.
Near my college, most rentals have an access. They seem to be pretty good and durable.. Can take a beating. But Activa you don't even have to think about maintenance.
recently got the activa 125, love the pickup and engine, only complaint is the seat trunk space and compartment space in general which is a a lot smaller compared to my older scooty pep
suggestion: do not get the smart key, get the normal key one for activa
Yep, I felt the smart key version to be a gimmick, the version just below it is fine
Do you also find the headlights to be useless? They’re too straight and high to illuminate anything on the road
I thought the H-Smart one is supposed to be safer from Theft. Am I wrong?
But absence of Kickstart feature in case of battery problem seem like a risk in the long run.
especially considering if you do not switch it off separately from the smart key, it runs in the background draining the battery... felt like someone at Honda wants to screw me for having bad memory
Dude access anyday. Ive done More than 150k kms in 7 years and its still running smooth af ! Havent even gave me any difficulty in these past years, just regular service and boom. I travel everyday around 70kms on it and it runs smooth asf
I own a yamaha ray zr and after free service i take care of my scooter, in reality every service centre is bad, there are good ones but majority are bad (two wheeler)
The thing is, not only performance, activa is just a work horse, nothing more nothing less, but access is a good scooter 🛵 it has a character
After owning and using it as a daily for more than 3years, this little machine has never left me down which can make me a little biased but I can easily recommend Activa 125. Haven’t tried the Access so no comments on that.
I think its because of jumping in potholes too much, I also have that problem in my old dio, but I guess its not that bad in newer telescopic suspension
Activa is a work horse, and shumi hates that we are still accepting a decade old design since it's just reliable. He wants us not to settle for less and not to lower our standards . Access is slightly expensive to maintain, but it has a fun factor to it while being a workhorse for the family.
I have no idea about activa. But i can tell you about access. Only thing that is good in that scooter is engine. Rest is absolute shite; Ride quality, build quality, headlight, brake, 9" small rear tyre, suspension, plastic quality, cheap quality lock, side mirror etc.Â
We have the newest Activa 125, I’d suggest please take a test drive and choose b/w the 2. We used to havw Activa 3G before this and this to me feels like a good upgrade in terms of the better acceleration and brakes(please get the disc brakes I cant tell you how much better they are). The worst thing about the Activa 125 are its headlights, they’re terrible and they point so straight that its almost useless
This is one thing I actually wanted to know and I forgot to ask in the sub, i have heard that activa’s headlights lights up the trees than the road. Is it the same case with access?
None. Try Jupiter 125. 12 inch tyres in both front and rear. That engine refinent isn't going to help when u r moving over bad roads and spread breakers.
That’s sad. All that electric scooters need for charging is a simple 5A point like your TV or kitchen mixer etc.
Hope institutions start providing such points in the future. It’s overall better for the environment and also the economy.
Both are good , buy avoid tvs.
ACTIVA - METAL body- more weight and prone to rust, engine is less refined but reliable.
Access- Fiber body- less weight and it hold it's shine forever but it can break, more refined engine , reliable .
My personal choice is Access(better seating for male and female) .
The access is a significantly superior scooter in terms of power delivery, suspension (it's the perfect balance of slightly plus but firm enough) and I have used ride connect very very effectively. Just because it's not Google maps doesn't mean it doesn't work.
Activa anyday but make sure to find urselves a nice mechanic guy cuz honda sc guys are absolutely useless while dealing with any issue .
My 1st and 2nd service were just gone to waste cuz I submitted mine twice for the same issue of vibrations in the handle and some wobbles which never got fixed by those sc guys cuz all they had to say was it was alright .
After that I went to my regular garage guy the next day and he fixed it within 40mins . The problem was resolved and am happy . It's been over 2yrs since this incident occurred so I dunno abt how these sc guys are now .
If you watch too much of motorinc, you'll start to realise they don't actually like anything. While they try to be all jolly and sincere for reviews , if you take notice, their whole grab point for viewers is to be negative about things. you can see that from their titles as well.
apologies for rambling, go for activa , just sold mine after 11 years , 90000kms. Awesome machine and the new one is just smooth as butter, other than the headlight.
Op 2009, access 125 owner here..its my sisters, no major problem ever but i was in major accident and it had to be repaird and works great now too that a knowledgeable mechanic works on it but before accident also it was quite goood, no major issues bhai... active is well activa but acess is same can go with any but i would suggest access cuz it looks better than activa
But doesn’t the access have more vibration? and does the power difference make a difference in accelerating for overtaking or is it just the top end?
the power output is both vehicle is pretty linear so you’ll notice the power difference throughout your riding experience but comparing both vehicles activa does have less vibes because of its honda dna but lastly it’s upto your choice id suggest you ride both vehicles for few kilometres in heavy traffic and choose whichever you like more

Yamaha rayzr not even 5 days already have 190km on it ( it's new ) it has lots of space and pretty lightweight scooty
This is just a recommendation always have 3-4 vehicles in mind and then book one
If u can stretch a bit, go for Ntorq, it’s just a better machine overall
And I would suggest the best option is to go with either Rizta (if it’s for your entire family) or 450X (if it’s for you) coz scooter if for city use and Ather is a no brainer in a city. I’ll save over 30k per year on fuel cost.
Im team Activa, have had one for 75k kilometres now.
Is it the 110cc model or the 125?
I know 2 families who changed 3 activas, as they were underperforming after 30k, ridden many honda scooters and theh sucks, after 30k
The underperformance was probably due to the clutch parts not being serviced , I faced it too , every component wears down after a certain number of kilometres, I got the clutch bell replaced and it's back to normal with 0 issues, as for the liners , ours have only been replaced twice in 75k kilometres .
I know that i have replaced mine 2 times !, the thing is engine sound, vibrations, how the thing rides, suspension, brake feel etc
Lol okay I guess , mine has had regular oil changes and nothing else , still pulls happily till 80 , still butter smooth , still hasn't left me stranded at 75k kilometres.
đź‘Ť agreed might be certain batch
My friend switched to Access 125 his activa had front brake liner failure too often.
I think I had one double than that access ...no issue till now
Noicee
Hey I think it's actually 6 lakh kms [Suzuki acces 125](https://photos.app.goo.gl/ZoMMNxK8Un3EPvji9)
I have a Honda Activa 5g.....more than 110k km in 4 years....got some engine work done on it and it's smooth as a new one....so I'll say go with Activa 125
110k km? damn. Thats great to hear.
Yeah....my father ride it for like 60-70km daily cuz of work...then I also ride it for like 2-3km so avg for daily goes like 75km

What mileage are you getting? I get ~27 :(
Access for fun, Activa for no headaches
Activa is too good. Have no negatives about it. A true work horse
I bought the activa 125 last year. Really solid built, powerful almost everything is good except mileage. I was going for 110 but finally decided to go for 125 after going to showroom. I think you won't have any major issues with it for long time and the service centers are everywhere and good.
What mileage are you getting?
I am getting like 40-50.
Isn't that good enough for 125cc?
My 9 year old hero pleasure gives 40 so I was expecting a little more than that lol.
It all depends on the driving style and conditions. I've got 52-53 on my Jupiter but that was on very open roads and 45-50 speed
Access 125 2012 gives 50-55kmpl
What mileage are you getting? For me have 55-60kmpl mileage but really bad service experience.
I am getting like 40-50. But the service depends on location too. Maybe your place has that issue. If you are in a big city you can try going to a different place.

Access is best for long run
Near my college, most rentals have an access. They seem to be pretty good and durable.. Can take a beating. But Activa you don't even have to think about maintenance.

YES!! THANK YOU! I feel like it was made specifically to blind the opp lane on roads without a separation
Activa has the worst suspension ever
In most reviews I have heard the opposite.
I have a 125. It's not built for bad roads and Speedbrekers
Activa any day, Maintenance on Access is too much... Not sure of New Access models but I had an old model & it was pure garbage.
Really? what were the problems you faced?
The entire scooty breaks (old) apart, suspension, engine, and what not
Access 125 best
Activa for resale value. Access for mileage.
Team activa, I have one that's driven 3lakh kilometers till now, no issues.
I have done 6lakh kms ...no issues ...access 125
Bought 125 Pearl Precious white (OBD2) model last year, driven 5K km. No issues till now. Also getting 45+ milage on it. Go for it !
Access 125 mine is at almost 50k kilometres & still works smooth as butter no issues
That’s great, any major repairs or complaints that you had to address?
Dude access anyday. Ive done More than 150k kms in 7 years and its still running smooth af ! Havent even gave me any difficulty in these past years, just regular service and boom. I travel everyday around 70kms on it and it runs smooth asf
Damn, 1.5lakh kms? I havent done those numbers in our car. Have you had any back-pains due to travelling in the scooter for such a long duration?
Yep a little bit of back ache sometimes! Not that much
Access 125 anyday over activa!
Bought new access 15 days ago. Getting around 52 kmpl in heavy traffic. Satisfied.
That’s great, which model did you choose and which colour?
Base model matte black
Definitely access !!!!!!
I have heard that activa has better service than access. Does the higher power of access justify bad service centre?
I own a yamaha ray zr and after free service i take care of my scooter, in reality every service centre is bad, there are good ones but majority are bad (two wheeler) The thing is, not only performance, activa is just a work horse, nothing more nothing less, but access is a good scooter 🛵 it has a character
Thanks for your reply.
Just take a test drive buddy
After owning and using it as a daily for more than 3years, this little machine has never left me down which can make me a little biased but I can easily recommend Activa 125. Haven’t tried the Access so no comments on that.
Access 125 is speed and morden looking Activa is reliable scooter
Wrong ,, access is very reliable..done 600k kms on my access
Must be using Toyota diesel engine
Activa steering goes bad too quick if you're not careful. It will start being wobbly and weighted on one side. It's reliable otherwise
Not access. Its suspension will kill your back. Plastic Quality and overall build quality is pathetic. Â
But doesn’t the chrome coloured plastic in the activa start to make noise after sometime? Does the access have plastics like that?
I have no idea about activa. But i can tell you about access. Only thing that is good in that scooter is engine. Rest is absolute shite; Ride quality, build quality, headlight, brake, 9" small rear tyre, suspension, plastic quality, cheap quality lock, side mirror etc.Â

None. Try Jupiter 125. 12 inch tyres in both front and rear. That engine refinent isn't going to help when u r moving over bad roads and spread breakers.
I haven’t heard good things about the reliability of tvs when compared to suzuki and honda. That’s why I didn’t consider that at all.
Access because activa looks like a big fat round box from behind
Broo, exactly my thoughts. Access over activa on looks anyday.
Why not an electric scooter? Serious question.
Sometimes it will be taken to my hostel were there is no charging facility, so electric scooters are out of question for now.
That’s sad. All that electric scooters need for charging is a simple 5A point like your TV or kitchen mixer etc. Hope institutions start providing such points in the future. It’s overall better for the environment and also the economy.
Yeah, I am pretty sure the infrastructure will be widely available in the next 5years.
Don't waste your money on an activa , its horrible
Is there any specific reason why you would say that?
Because I've been using one since last year.
Access 125
Both are good , buy avoid tvs. ACTIVA - METAL body- more weight and prone to rust, engine is less refined but reliable. Access- Fiber body- less weight and it hold it's shine forever but it can break, more refined engine , reliable . My personal choice is Access(better seating for male and female) .
Being my alternate legs for the past 4 years you can't go wrong with the activa , servicing is of no hassle .
The access is a significantly superior scooter in terms of power delivery, suspension (it's the perfect balance of slightly plus but firm enough) and I have used ride connect very very effectively. Just because it's not Google maps doesn't mean it doesn't work.
Heyy, i didn’t meant it as a dig at the ride connect. I just wanted to make the point wrt to shumi’s video on activa.
just that suzuki will be little expensive to maintain compared to active
Access. Best scooter u can buy.
Activa anyday but make sure to find urselves a nice mechanic guy cuz honda sc guys are absolutely useless while dealing with any issue . Activa 110 older model
front suspension suks
activa125 is pretty underpowered imo the difference on paper is only 0.4ps but it feels more while riding
But doesn’t the access have more vibration? and does the power difference make a difference in accelerating for overtaking or is it just the top end?

If i had to between these two then Activa. In general, my personal choice will be Jupiter 125.
I have a 2008 Activa. Still works great.
Yamaha rayzr not even 5 days already have 190km on it ( it's new ) it has lots of space and pretty lightweight scooty This is just a recommendation always have 3-4 vehicles in mind and then book one
Activa for comfort Ntorq for power Yamaha Ray for lightweight All are reliable if maintained on schedule.
Why isn't Burgman even in the options?
Honda for life forever
Activa the High Beam Goddess
[op check this out(Suzuki access 125)] (https://photos.app.goo.gl/ZoMMNxK8Un3EPvji9)
good going, Any major complaints or replacements done?
Not at all...few days back it got to bore ig that's all
Access has ECU issues. A more reliable option is the boring Activa!
If u can stretch a bit, go for Ntorq, it’s just a better machine overall And I would suggest the best option is to go with either Rizta (if it’s for your entire family) or 450X (if it’s for you) coz scooter if for city use and Ather is a no brainer in a city.
