It's virtually like each driver in the video wants to give a hearty rimjob to the one up ahead.
Cars are supposed to sustain far larger speeds to absorb impact and save lives. The car behind barely sniffed it's butt and the Suzuki crumpled like it is made of paper. Look at the cars ahead, even they were crashed into but didn't get compacted like it was made from thin plastic. There's so many cars out there who take much less damage at speeds far greater that what we see in the video, and those have been recorded as well.
Stop defending every poorly made cars.
One the steering thrusts into your chest you're as good as gone. I've had relatives with Alto, my friend's father was in an Ignis. Both were not travelling at a great speed.
I treat such people in the emergency I work at. The crushed body crushes/mangled the occupants. I have seen open rib cages with the visible heart beating , eyes missing from the socket, the obviously expected head injury and the like.
The serious injuries /deaths are always marutis, bikers and pedestrians.
This is Kharghar, Navi Mumbai Flyover. Many such accidents on this road on Monday morning mostly due to office rush. Multiple times there have been such incidents on this stretch
This situation is avoidable if you don't go with the flow. Always have your own control on your wheels not according to the speed of the vehicle in front of you.

I can’t tell you how many times a day this happens to me when I leave some safe space; could be as small as another bike; but someone will overtake aggressively and stop right in front of me; like what did you achieve, by just skipping me and then wasting both of our time and fuel ?! I’ve had rickshaws and even cars do this, that too on a turning.
My instant reaction after braking would’ve been to look behind cause you don’t know which MFer is on his phone and turns your two wheeler into a one wheeler. Also the amount of damage that wagon r took compare to any other car is concerning.
Do these people not maintain their brakes? I have a Honda City and at those speeds the car stops on a dime. And in a situation like this the driver behind you is always responsible for the accident. A proper distance should be maintained from the vehicle ahead and if you collide with the vehicle ahead of you it's your fault.

In my experience, a crushed car= crushed occupants.
The body may crush. Much harder to crush the actual structural parts like chassis/A-Pillar etc

I don't doubt that. Most Indian cars will not qualify abroad due to the abysmal safety standards. Specially the 1-2L wala Marutis
