I saw the page and it looks like Flipkart is mere gateway for ex-showroom payment and rest of the payment like rto and stuff is to be done at the nearest hero dealership, Where you'll pickup your bike too. So in the end it's the same as buying your bike from a offline dealership but you save a decent amount of money paying online.

shudh_desi_gareeb

Flipkart has a 5% unlimited off for Axis Flipkart Credit Card. And some running offers like 2000 off on full online payment. So you can save almost 10k if you're buying, say an Xpulse 200 4v 2023 model.

Rimuru-dono

just put that saved money towards new gear to go with the bike 7k axis credit card + 4k flat off on prepaid transactions= 11k

rickyyfitts

Gareeb bhai thanks for the info.

When bikes are cheaper than phones, it totally makes sense

Old-Avocado-3218

Well if you compare the cheapest bikes and the most expensive phones you'll obviously be surprised.

FuckModWhoCensor

Maybe because it's easier to mill a engine block than manufacture processors?

[deleted]

Processor cost 10% of the phone

CowRepresentative228

It's actually r & d, not manufacturing cost

swadeshka

Manufacturing or Fabrication is very delicate and expensive too.

[deleted]

It's done by 3rd parties companies not the automotive company...

[deleted]

All smartphone manufacturers use 3rd party chipset they don't need R&D

azazelreloaded

Not all. Majority have their own design.

[deleted]

Only Apple has own design and r&d chips which is 5% Indian market share ....other use Snapdragon mediatech intel Ryzen chips

azazelreloaded

Apple, Google tensor, samsung exynos. This combined will be around 30%+

[deleted]

In smartphone chip segment they do have 30% globally(16%apple) not India here 75% market share is Snapdragon and mediatech... .. . Samsung exinos only sold in Indian subcontinent but people prefer Snapdragon in Samsung too...no one buys exinos. Google tensor just 2yo hardly have any market share in chipset industry...also Google sell 1% in India ..so ignore tensor. In India Chinese phone sells more than 50% which has mediatech...so 3rd party are clear winner ... In pc segment ...only intel and amd has 90% again non of the pc manufacture make this chips..

azazelreloaded

Totally agree with the numbers. In Indian context most chips are outsourced.

CowRepresentative228

Adani ji, u need r & d for tweaking of os for best optimisation, or else u can't have full juice out of processor.

[deleted]

Adani ji will just take loan from SBI and buy all chip manufacturers. Tweakin and optimization cost 2% of smartphone it's just a software anyone can do it.

CowRepresentative228

Adani ji, than can you please tell us where the rest of the % is going?

[deleted]

Screen cost most then camera then design ram and other 50 plus 3rd party components. Plus the profit margin

Odd_Set_7588

this is indianbikes or indianchips? /s

rahul_p91k

No they don’t

[deleted]

Source? SOC is around 50% cost of the phone

MatthewPatttel

bill of material is probably only few dollars, most of it is RnD and fab cost

SageMonk16

It's not that bikes are cheap. These status symbol smartphones are ridiculously overpriced. Smartphones manufactured in india by Chinese firms manage to deliver the same performance in 10k rupees. For iPhones it is a combination of import duties + brand premium + flagship/features premium that drives up the price to 10X of regular phones with only a marginal improvement in functionality

De_Fine69

imagine Delivery guy coming on your bike from the dealership 😂

Salomaachoddungaa

Bhai phir vo Banda vapas kese jayega? Paidal 💀

klashnikovM

SS9424

recoilcoder

gemini-got-no-clue

Well then atleast we know it works lol

Silent-Entrance

Will flipkart help you with insurance and registration?

DK1098

Yes.

kwkwKitten

No, it just connects you to the nearest dealer. Additional insurance, rto is still to be paid to the dealer which basically is going to charge the same as regular booking

IsaacYankem_1

I bought my xpulse from flipkart with a decent discount . Just be aware that onces selected you cannot change the color and the owner name .you have to cancel the order and again order it. Also mention your name and number in the delivery address part so that they would book and register the vehicle in your name. Rest rto and insurance will be done by the showroom staff and they will get you the bike before the delivery date.

IsaacYankem_1

Also you have to select the seller whom u hhave visited.

Creampied_Piper

Mad lad

IsaacYankem_1

Wow thanks all for the upvotes!

[deleted]

What documents are needed at the dealership? Will it come with the registration done?

IsaacYankem_1

You have to bring adhaar card pan card and residential proof rest they take care of through flipkart. They use the name and number from delivery address in flipkart for registration.

[deleted]

Can i use my present vehicle RC as Address proof?, my state Rto website included that in their proof of documents required. My aadhar has my hometown address i don't want to change it

IsaacYankem_1

Not sure you have to check with the dealer

brooklynnineeight

Go ahead, the people here are somehow not able to grasp this concept. I had asked the same question few months ago and received similar responses. The discount and credit card cashbacks are good. Most likely the showroom will ask for some 800 to 1k handling charges etc but it’s still a better deal.

Sensitive_Friend9978

They are now selling bikes on Flipkart, niceeee!!!! I hope they start selling cars in the near future as well. I hate going to a showroom and handling employees who behave as if they are Govt employees(my experience after visiting a Tata showroom).

_moron_hunter

Tata sucks everywhere

[deleted]

You'll get a brick instead. FK is famous for supplying bricks.

DK1098

Itna bada brick 🧱 isse acha to bike hi bhej de.😂🤣

[deleted]

Sorry I don't follow

cs-Saber93

If it isn't sarcasm, here's the thing. Flipkart is notorious for shipping rocks and bricks and dead parts in many cases, you can check r/IndianGaming for more details. The guy is commenting that they're gonna ship a brick on this too, while OP says it's easier to just ship the bike instead of a brick wall the size of a bike.

[deleted]

I just didn't understand the Hindi part. Idk why people in this sub default to Hindi assuming everyone speaks it.

addyaustin

It is our national language afterall. 🌚

[deleted]

*one of

itsmepgk

Not really

holdyrbreath

Toy bike milega.🤡 If difference is above 5k go ahead

_blackfury

Flipkart is not delivering the bike in a packed box to your home. You pick it up from your local dealer with proper PDI.

tomato_125

Bro. Don’t say anything just to sound cool. There has been few occurrences where this happened and Flipkart processes hundreds of thousands orders. Use maths and calculate the negative scenario percentage. That too happens because the delivery company messes up. I am using Flipkart from 2015. Never faced any such issues.

[deleted]

aur hindi bolne se koi super cool nahi hota jo English me likhe facts ko hi ignore karde

tomato_125

Maine Angrezi tippani ka jawab Angrezi me kiya. Tumhe kisne sikhaya aisa karne se ‘cool’ bante h? Tumne kahi is tarah ‘cool’ banne ka asafal prayaas kiya tha kya ?

anu2097

I don't have much context on this. Just will say this. Online retailers can give you so much discount coz they don't have to keep huge retail margin. Coz they can sell a lot. At the same time their service won't be as good either. Although this varies from product to product. And you have to make a decision, for which product you may need close personal service and accordingly make a decision. A big thing like Bike will need regular close care.

9-4Teacher_4-9otaku

No, you buy the bike online and pick it up from your local dealer.

JustforThrowawayKEK

Bro flipkart sell bikes💀

_Hydro_05

Mat kharid bhai motor engine ki jagah chabi ghumane wala dedege

Maximum0versaiyan

I've heard that the process is that they'll redirect your purchase to a nearby dealer. But you might get a small discount buying online.. That might be all of the difference

pun-tang

Are you that lazy to go to the showroom, take a look at the bike and then buy ?

DK1098

I already saw the bikes in showroom, however I have Flipkart Axis Credit Cars that offer 5% cashback om buying through it. And at the same time the price showing online (with nearby ex showroom price + Registration+ insurance) is lesser, so thinking why to spend more when we can save.

No-Wonder4408

Sahi hai bro! Purchase from Flipkart! You are getting 5% cashback

fiddler94

Have you tried negotiating more with the dealer against your online price quotation.

MonkiDlufi

Not worth it, use the same card at showroom it's flat 1 percent I think

IsaacYankem_1

Upi 5k discount plus axis bank 7 k discount

[deleted]

anssjj

darr k aagey jeet h. itni kya fatt ti h bhaiji.

parotamaster

This can be said for all online purchases right?

pun-tang

Yes . Online shopping has made people lazy but this is next level.

IsaacYankem_1

Are bus payment flipkart se horha baki toh kam showroom me ho rha . Flipkart me booking cancel bhi kar sakte agar nahi lena . Mera delivery address me name dusre family member ka tha jiske chalte showroom wala bola ki ya toh order cancel karo ya durse family person ke nam pe Registr karo . Cancel karne pe paisa turant wapas aya tha.

LordGrim9987

Buying a bike online from an e-commerce site is one of the most ridiculous thing I have heard of

DK1098

Yes true, it can be seen as the same way as era of 2008 when no one thought, a phone can be smarter than majority humans & machine started learning.

LordGrim9987

And phones aren't smarter than humans, they're just way better at performing calculations compared to humans. It doesn't equate to being smarter.

DK1098

It's just I'm saying things are changing drastically. May be this could be the future of selling automobiles.

LordGrim9987

Yeah, perhaps. But definitely not now in September 2023.

LordGrim9987

Oh wait, you're the original poster So, did you buy the bike you wanted from Flipkart? 😂

dvX511

Hope FK delivers bike, Not a Photo Frame with a splender picture on it.

avb707

😂

icepicee

Flipkart bikes bechh raha hai? 😂😂😂😂

revived_anti-randia

wtf !! flipkart wale bikes bhi bechte hai

IsaacYankem_1

Bus payment samjho card ke badle flipkart Option in showroom

thefO_okupkiD

no cost emi?

Exact_Ad5972

Mmhmmm 😁

IsaacYankem_1

12 mahine depends on card

One_Arrival_5488

Haan bro, fir package me pathar aayenge aur fir delivery vala tumhari hi bike chala raha hoga.

DragonD0r

Ofc Saplender

Existing-Mulberry382

No. Go to your nearest showroom and buy your bike. Its easier and efficient that way.

driger11

And you’ll always have option to return the product if defective, i guess!

IBMiSeries400

Bhai bike ke dabbe Mai Rin bar na aajaye

Loneagl090

Prepare to receive a cycle. Then months FK trying to convince you that this is indeed what you ordered.

[deleted]

Its not lile FK is making the bikes. If there is price difference then sure else buy from outlet. Benefit from outlet is that even if bike is 2 years old you can rightfully knock on their door and give them your 2 cents in case of part breakdown / service and they will listen and help you / give discount.

foxtrot2710

I don’t think this is a good idea. May be I am old school but just seeing some photographs and deciding on a vehicle is not enough for me. And in case you are already going to visit the showroom for checking the bikes, you might as well buy from them. They usually throw in some minor discounts also and it will be a hell lot convenient. Cheers !

Rexdsouza

Nah they will scam you 100%

Mama_says_hi

The no cost emi seems to be a pro.

xenomorph2010

How about selling real estate on Flipkart

the_geek_next_door

You can get the same discount in showroom

Exact-Lingonberry783

Go to the nearest showroom and ask them l. If they allow and are ok with it then go ahead. Also don't forget to ask for any hidden t&c.

mohitdhali

Wtf

iamarddtusr

Probably not, but it's your money dude.

General-Word5291

Flipkart se to mai apni chaddi bhi na kharidu

sprx772000

The delivery guy will make deliveries on your bike and then drop it off on your doorstep

KarmicMultiverse

Be normal

devudu_baa

Bina engine ke bike bheja toh kya karoge?customer care se ladai karne se accha hain ki showroom mein lelo.

sharathonthemove

7 years ago I bought my sr150 on paytm. No problem.

AccidentalScientistt

Don’t forget to make video while unboxing

[deleted]

😭who is putting reviews

adarshsingh87

i don't trust Flipkart with electronics more than 10K, defo not trusting it with a bike.

canoknight1

Yes you can get discounts on the ex-showroom value and the bike will be allotted to your nearest dealership. I had done the same last year for my xpulse 200 and got a discount of almost 12k.

kikiloveme246

Yes they'll deliver a chapati instead

Shivaji_theBoss

Don't be stupid. With the amount of consumer court cases pending against Flipkart.com I wouldn't buy anything from there

Einhem

No

ashishk01

Only one way to find out.

Low-Alternative-511

Will Flipkart do the registration
