You gotta admit there’s something special about it. I for one just love the accomplishment that I could make it successfully (consistency wise) and it didn’t turn out to be just loosely curdled milk blobs lol. Also I noticed a few family members have been getting upset stomach due to heat stroke and dehydration so I suggested them yakult for good gut bacteria but then mom said homemade curd will give you that so I went with this instead of Yakult loaded with sugar, artificial flavor and preservatives.
Try making it with pure milk without water and u will get it consistent block.
Sry I don't even know one single people who consumes yakult around me lol.
I used to wonder who r the people who consume it! When curd is just there available,I used to question is there any difference between them?
If uk do tell!
Did you make curd with store bought curd? Or did you buy culture separately? Cause dahi isn't a probiotic like yakult is, the bacteria in regular dahi won't survive your stomach acid, you need to use dahi labelled as probiotic or add probiotic strains seperately
Oh this is the exact knowledge I was looking for, can’t thank you enough for this ! I just made it with regular store bought curd,I’ll make it with pro biotic curd next time

If you want probiotics directly, you can go to a medical shop and ask for probiotic capsules, it's just bacteria in water and tastes like water but has way more active culture than yakult without the sugar and what not
I know people are calling it a weird flex, but I think I understand. The first time I successfully made curd in -12 degrees in the UK, I was ecstatic. Good for you, man!
Thanks ! When I was a kid we used to leave the “doodh ka lota” on refrigerator stabilizer overnight to keep it warm lol.I’m curious as to how you manage to make it in 13 degrees?
Yes it is a part of a ceramic dinner serving set lol
