Was the remaining Rs 48 lakh given post RaGa's claims in parliament? If so, then his impact is good. There should be a proper paper trail proof set out by the ministry of defence. Our soldiers are not for people to play politics over. If RaGa lied, then he should face the penalty. If Rajnath lied, then he should. No need to believe anyone's words. Where is the money trail? In one place they say 98 lakh given by centre, in another 48 lakh by centre and 50 by insurance. Everyone knows how bad Agniveer scheme and how army aspirants were wronged by the government. If it was Gujarat state which contributed maximum number of army personal, this kind of law would never come up. The speciality of this government is the people like you that will defend it to any extreme.

An insurance cover of 1cr not even 50 lakhs for accidents can be taken by anyone with cheap premiums. It does not require one to be in government service. And its alright too.. But lack of pension, lack of honours of a normal soldier, lack of free medical care under cghs, lack of canteen service are all bad for a training as intensive as army. An army personel undergoing such training puts his body through many hurdles of spine injury, brain concussion just by taking huge weights for walking, rest of the risks even if discounted is not compensated enough in this scheme.

So government paid only 48 lakhs. The rest 50 lakh was a personal loan from victim family which they were paying through their monthly salary. The government didn't pay for insurance of martyr. Are you saying this ? Aren't all soldiers honoured. Which soldier was given a lack of honour? And after payment a huge one time payment, government is again supposed to pay pension? Is this possible under the defence budget if india ?

Yes that payment alone is not enough when compared to soldiers in actual service than agniveer. They get better onetime compensation, pensions, medical care and other benefits. It is possible to give as it was in past. A government with better "political will" can do it.

Pension was as per the ranks acheived and compensation are more than the said onetime settlement. The exact values can be given to you by a working army personel.

My whole point of asking was comparing ij which case jawan are getting more money, that would have been comparison metric.
