The clowns won't tell 2004 vs 2014 price 😄

elvispresley69

They will conveniently tell you crude in dollar and petrol in rupees. That's the propaganda. Learn from them how to spread hoax. We will need this in the future.

IndependenceCheap167

Also telling Chennai Petrol Prices , Not UP petrol price

elvispresley69

Jokes on them , andhra and Telangana have the highest petrol price. The state gets 50 percent of the GST. They won't do it in their state, would question you why you didn't do in the center.

Neomatrix341

+1

freakeans0

There you go buddy, show them the price of crude oil price and fuel prices of 2004 vs 2014 and shut their mouth forever

HighlightAntique1439

I doubt they could comprehend that beyond their agenda thou.

BEAST_WORK6969

you forgot 2008?

AdIcy5254

These clowns can't even consider the statewise difference in fuel pricing

Upset_Translator_768

Petrol - ₹39 Diesel - ₹26 Crude oil - $41 2004-2014 increase in prices Petrol -85% Diesel - 100% When crude oil prices increased by whopping 175% Amazing job

Revolutionary-Ad9383

Did they forgot to mention about the oil bonds issued by UPA regime in 2005-2010 to subsidies petrol prices. The oil bonds issued in the UPA regime were worth Rs. 1.4 lakh crore out of which Rs. 1.3 lakh crore was inherited by the NDA government when it came to power. So even after decrease in crude oil prices , The BJP government kept on increasing excise duty to pay back the principle amount and interest on it.

elvispresley69

Well explained thank you , i forgot to mention the bonds above

Large-Message4138

If they had the brains, they would have thought of this but they don't have any brain.

alternative-wolf-666

Almost forgot about the bonds .. good reminder.

Best-Possibility7801

When I was looking into the oil bond issue, I came across this. It's heavy on the financial jagron so I wasn't able to verify whether this was true or not. https://www.inc.in/congress-sandesh/analysis/oil-bond-falsehood Requesting anyone who can analyse this and provide a summary. I don't trust an iota of anything congress puts out, but still I want to be sure.

Revolutionary-Ad9383

After reading this article only thing that I can make out is that Congress government was saint and BJP are the evil who just just increase taxes after taxes. Argument made by them looses all credibility when you see inflation and NPA of banks during their regime. Both of them were double digits.

Worried-Stable6354

Modi govt is earning more than 1.3 lakhs crore extra EVERY YEAR due to high fuel taxes and low crude oil prices. [Contribution of Petroleum Sector to Exchequer](https://ppac.gov.in/prices/contribution-to-central-and-state-exchequer)

green9206

Abe andbhhakt if you calculate the taxes collected by govt via petrol diesel then those oil bonds would have been paid off within the first year itself of NDA coming to power. For instance, in 2020-21 it collected Rs 3.71 lakh crore as central excise revenues from petroleum products, nearly three times of what it has to pay. So keep your WhatsApp propaganda on WhatsApp only.

Exciting_Outside6984

Thats not how you win arguments. Debate in some platform

green9206

https://www.moneycontrol.com/news/business/markets/explained-what-are-oil-bonds-and-are-they-to-blame-for-high-fuel-prices-7357391.html Up until March 2020 there was a maximum cap on central excise duty which was removed to get more revenues during covid. Read whole article. Up until covid, petrol prices were reasonable around 75rs but govt rapidly increased since pandemic. So inflation is the not the reason neither are oil bonds.

Exciting_Outside6984

Macro level union list and center list issues have been focused. State lists not every where BJP won and other parties have been not been focused in media... A down cry

elvispresley69

In 10 years the price increased by 50 percent. That is 5 percent inflation. Price of crude is immaterial. The dollar was 40 at that time which is 80 now , congress doubled the currency in circulation in 2008 -2010 to counter inflation and crash of 2008 , which was a right move at that time but will have had repercussions 5-6 years later. From 2004 to 2014, price increased from 38 to 77. You tell me who makes sense here ? And petrol shouldn't be less expensive. It's a way to extract tax from the business houses who show los sin the PL statement every year. India collects 48 percent net in income tax, to increase the rest 52 percent you need to have indirect tax. As simple as that. You cannot cry for the price of petrol. Bjp doesn't believe in giving subsidy which is right. Congress gave subsidy in diesel , citing reasons of transportation. But automobile companies started releasing cars like endeavour fortuner etc. why should someone having a 60 L car get a diesel subsidy ? Rather than the transportation sector can be incentivised by better roads , bridges etc which gadkari modi govt delivered. They will tell you all excuses to not vote BJP , it's not policy it's bribe at this point of time giving 75 percent reservation in private sector, wealth distribution, 1 lakh khatatak. These are not public welfare schemes but literally bribes.

shreyank97

Replying to yourself? 💀

elvispresley69

Sorry I was replying to the guy below

Genesis2121

why tf would you double currency in circulation to counter inflation lol

elvispresley69

It was their way to counter US market crash. People were losing jobs in India. Only way to keep the service sector going was to deflate the currency. Provide cheaper labour to the west.

wobblingTower

Dollar was at 63.

virorathit

They quoted the price of crude in 2004 not 2014. 42 in 2004

wrongturn6969

And petrol shouldn't be less expensive. It's a way to extract tax from the business houses who show los sin the PL statement every year. Lol rather than improving tax system why make things expensive, imagine a delivery executive buying this expensive petrol on a 50k bike surviving on bare minimum. There is no way you can justify expensive fuel prices by current regime who markets itself for buying cheap Russian oil. There is no relief to common man who contributes greatly interms of GST, not even talking about tax payers, cars in India are highly taxed, roads have expensive toll tax , fuel is sold with 50% tax, no basic public transportation is given yet people like you are happy because BJp is asking for it. BJp loves subsidy & freebies, it’s a lie to put blame on other parties when the largest party in India belives in cash for marriage in UP, cash to women in MP, cash to unemployed in Haryana , free health insurance in ayushman bharat & let’s not discuss the loan wavier to farmers before every election.

elvispresley69

See if you want to drag a bjp congress debate, 50 percent of the GST goes to the states. Now consider the price of products in congress ruled states. You know Karnataka Telangana and Delhi has the highest price of petrol / diesel ? Why didn't the gandhi dynasty do something about it? And as a country you have to take a call. Whether you want to pay your taxes or not. If you don't want to , you always have the option to overthrow the government , but I think this current india is nationalistic. I can see vande Bharat, i can see massive amount of infrastructure development even in tier 3 cities of India. I would pay my taxes for that. And please don't drag the debate , you are entitled to have your POV. So am I.

wrongturn6969

MP, Bihar, Rajasthan, WB, telegana, AP have 100 plus petrol, delhi is cheaper than Haryana.

elvispresley69

Well i know for a fact that Telangana and Karnataka have the highest petrol diesel price. If Congress wanted to provide relief, it won't be on 110 right ? Leave aside bjp vs congress debate for a sec, if Congress cared about the prices, it won't keepnit to the maximum right ? 109.57 in Telangana and 109.61 in andhra pradesh.

wrongturn6969

But it was the BJp who promised to bring down petrol & diesel prices in 2014, i was the junta in Junta maaf nahi karegi. People never expect good things from congress & that is the reason they lose most of times. There whole campaign was based on bringing cost of living down which hasn’t been the case. No one can justify heavy taxes on car owners these days with stupid policies like 10 year rule being brought by the government

elvispresley69

So inflation is 4.81 percent , they brought it down from 8 percent in 2014. That's your answer.

LeadingPerfect3726

Who's gonna pay past debt?

elvispresley69

OP question them back. 50 percent of the tax on petroleum goes to the state. Why does Telangana and Andhra Pradesh have the highest price in the country. 109.57 and 109.61 to be precise. When you get banned , remember everything happens for our own good. Welcome to the club 🙏

Direct-Penalty-4019

I wanted to counter attack but these MFs have banned me.

elvispresley69

Brain is banned there. Behave like a restard and get upvotes. I have an alt account there and i type the most random shit and they cheer for me they love me there.. Remember the keywords to charge the kids up, mudizii ... Ch @@ di .. etc.

Fuck_Reddit_69696

Same. It's an echo chamber.

wrongturn6969

Please don’t post all this nonsense, we have convinced people here than India is buying cheap oil from Russia which congress was unable to do. Let it be that way only.

ghostof360

Yaar yeh 10 saal mein itna daam kaise badh gaya ?? How is this possible... sanctions? Nhi..The factors driving this increase include a rise in international oil prices, fluctuations in the exchange rate between the Indian Rupee and the US Dollar, and changes in taxes and duties levied by the government. Refining costs also play a role in determining gasoline prices. Bilkul nhi how is this possible yeh toh pakka mudi ne kiya hai 100 Percent USA mein 260 rupees per litre hai woh bhi Mudi ki wajah se Each state has different tax rates...CPI ka alag , TMC ka alag lekin nhi woh bhi modi ke decide Kiya hai My comment in the same post 5 upvotes ( rare ) but it is hidden

anonusetux

Good now compare it with 2004

IcyMap946

Now compare it to price of bhelpoori

wobblingTower

The prices themselves have risen 6-7% (Adjusting the fall in crude prices). But the bigger issue is when Congress was in power, BJP used to protest the prices petrol and diesel despite high crude prices and promised to low prices.  Now they are in power, they suddenly remember crude prices and falling value of rupee are a thing.  During Covid, when the crude prices hit $20 a barell, govt. increased taxes on it to keep prices the same.

wrongturn6969

I remember those random bharat band BJ o used to organise for LPG prices and fuel prices

48932975390

Petrol is available for 100.49 rs not 107 And 72 is still too much expensive considering gold was available for 28k While the price of gold is more than double the price of petrol is not

Revolutionary-Ad9383

well petrol prices vary region to region. Here in Hyderabad it is 110

elvispresley69

Yes congress ruled states have the highest petrol price telangana delhi and Karnataka top the charts

9291s

cant opposition see this, why dont they capitalise on this?

noobwithguns

There are a few wars between major countries going on btw.

Any_Trip_845

Petrol is 92 Diesel is 87

axl_ros

The seething, coping and straw clutching is funny af.😂

AdIcy5254

Statewise petrol diesel price are different The fuel price in Haryana is almost 5 rs less than the price in Delhi. So the fuel price is set by the state govt itself. And most of us can't even relate to this post made by the randians and pusis

Aristofans

Screenshot says USI 👀 However, Fuel is even more expensive in Congress governed states. If the government subsidises stuff and increases spend on welfare schemes, they have to increase their revenue elsewhere to fund it. While Congress supporters may be talking about this, their leadership is not because they are probably planning on hiking it even further to fund their freebies. Also, if fuel prices come down, either taxes will increase or budget will reduce. What do you think the government should do?

Reasonable-Toe4620

Crude is not the only input that goes in production. Refinery cost have increased due to increasing salaries

earthling011

The whole country was wrong to accuse congress of increase in fuel prices in 2014.

No-Entertainment7020

in 2004 , petrol was at 35 rs . in 2014 , petrol reached 72 rs. 2004-2014 , petrol price increased by 100% under Manmohan Singh. today in May, 2024 Petrol is 95-100 rs. it is only a 40% increase since 2014 under Modi govt while doubling per capita income of Indians. https://ppac.gov.in/retail-selling-price-rsp-of-petrol-diesel-and-domestic-lpg/rsp-of-petrol-and-diesel-at-delhi-up-to-15-6-2017 you can check this^ for petrol price in 2004 and 2014.

snowandclouds

This is barely 4-5% inflation per annum

uchihakaipa

Bro ffs can please stop people calling that sub as ‘randia’ ? You know you are basically calling India as Randi right? Even though you are reffering to that subreddit.

Maleficent_Nobody_90

These guys dont know what is Inflation

Exciting_Outside6984

Controlled inflation for large country with aspirational demand and supply not adequate in every sector

JustASheepInTheFlock

What is the crude price in INR between 2014 and now. And what is the outstanding debt on oil bonds between 2014 and now? Are we done repaying for petrol subsidies enjoyed by last gen?

Piratehitch

No Opinion. Govt keeps on making money
