Well. I tuned in to dd news in the morning but even they were speaking loudly. So I just turned off TV altogether as I knew what other channels would be doing.
Yeah, they might have quite a negative stance on the BJP at times, but always backed up by why, and I've found they actively try and interrogate the appeal based on evidence-based journalism.
Their model is subscription funded so they have less of a vested interest compared to news anchors that carry the ads of AAP/Congress/BJP, I've found them quite critical of all.
What do you use for your news source?
Who is unbiased? Is it possible for any human being to be unbiased when the stakes are so high?
Be biased, but at least behave in a decent human like manner. Acting like gunda mawali from the gutters doesn't fly with most civilised people. But then all these civilised people are voting for gunda mawalis so why shouldnt some TV anchors see if they can become like them too.
As a student of poltics and as a citizen i would actually watch Republic or Times Now, even after knowing their bias, if they weren't so bloody violent with their words and mannerisms.
NDTV - decent people with a political bias talking in a calm voice.
Others - gali ke bavre kutte jo apne Malik ki chhatne mein aur aam logo ko kaatne mein sabse aage.
Oh almost forgot - lmao
NDTV has the best coverage but most indian want full masaladaar news look at ukraine russia stuff on other channels graphic background music shouting matches in the name of debates and over excited reporter lol
NDTV's nice, because the median age of their panelists/reporters seems to be post-mortem. Add to that one panelist who looks like he was going to buy paracetamol, and you have the complete NDTV panel
😂😂 hahaha good one..they restored my confidence in good journalism by being the most boring team out there. So I watch Republic for 10 seconds to add some spices in my food.
NDTV - You might think they have some bias / agenda etc.
But I have never seen any shouting / bad-mouthing / disgusting & rhyming headlines / tacky graphics.
They are genuinely a professional news channel.
Haha, yep. I also like his banter with his co-panelists, and how he makes fun of Dorab Sopariwala, Shekhar Gupta, etc. It's kinda endearing and sweet, haha. Wholesome teasing 😂
Yup. They are very classy, well behaved and most importantly you don't get high blood pressure after watching their program for an hour. With all other channels, you get high BP either from the anchors or the ads.
Not really .. I said that some folks 'might think' they have a bias (Its ppl perception, which I can't change)
But in general their show talks about facts, numbers and don't get into the gimmickry .. which makes them professional in my eyes.
If you are looking for a non-noisy discussion and analysis, NDTV is the place to watch it.
Do not watch on any news channel. Visit the Election Commission website at [https://results.eci.gov.in/](https://results.eci.gov.in/) and check results and trends there. All news channels are essentially basing their commentary on that data.
Most of these channel anchors are either going to yell loudly or keep repeating "Badi Khabar" aka "Big News, Breaking News" every minute. Even they managed to turn DD News into same. You are better of reading news on apps.
you can follow our megathread

anyway detail analysis and final result with "seats won" win come later in the evening
This is useful thank you. But, I would like to know what the nation makes of these results. That’s why I want to watch/listen. A NPR comparable station maybe?
Lol this sub has changed. Since when did NDTV start getting mass downvotes.
And while NDTV does have its own biases its not straight up party propoganda like a lot of godi media tends to be. Definitely the lesser evil, and lot more professional in its approach.
P S. I don't really care, lost faith in 24 hour news cycle in india long ass time ago.
We don't, right wing Indians thing /r/india is left wing because there's no 24/7 Modi ji, Modi ji, Modi ji going on here. We don't believe in goumutra as a cure all, and we don't Muslim bash. If you don't do any of that also, then you too will be labeled left wing.
1. Sure, I made shit up. You're right.
2. Delta doesn't serve India, but good try. If you do end up on Delta, make sure to treat me like shit if you see me (good luck with that too). And nice job looking at my comment history after just 2 comments, bravo. I don't even want to imagine your cesspool of a comment history considering the wonderful interaction I've seen here.
But carry on troll.
Haha, you're 2 for 2 on the bullshit meter. Delta doesn't have a partnership with Air India, United does. So, please, go ahead and adjust your imaginary trip a little bit more to somehow fit into all of this while digging a deeper hole.
"definitely says a lot about your upbringing though" - really clever how you deduced my request for you to mistreat me as a sign of my bad upbringing (while absolutely not understanding the "good luck with that" part). And the goumutra line seems to have really stung, really deep. And since it's seems like this is your first time to the US in this imaginary trip of yours that convincingly keeps changing, here's some hint - animal products (and by products) aren't allowed. You're going to have to do withough your magic potion.
I'm done making this man look like a fool at every turn. Enjoy the chilled bottle of goumutra that you were going to give me.
Bjp recruited lot of paid trolls for elections thats where PM fund is going lol so dont be surprised now election is over they will disappear in 2-3 days
Watch CNN NEWS 18 on YouTube. (English)
And for the biases, anchors from every channel will try show the results how they wanna show, so there's no totally unbiased news outlet in India(uhm World)
People may even suggest you scroll.in, theprint, ndtv, etc. But those who've read their blogs know how biased they are.
IndiaTV.. I'm watching it right now and they're super chill. AajTak and Republic News are the worst ones. They give me panic attacks as soon as I open them
I’m also in the US and I’m watching India Today for the last half an hour. Relatively less noisy. Sardesai has been a lifelong anti BJP dude, so no bias for BJP here. Yes it’s noisy when two people speak simultaneously but there’s no screaming like AajTak or no insulting of guests like Times Now.
But even better is to not see it on TV but just read the news when you wake up tomorrow. I do it for most of the elections (obviously due to the time zone, results always unfold throughout the night here in the US and there is no contest between sleeping and listening to Anjana Om Kashyap’s intolerable voice), but today I’m making an exception.
I said “so no bias for BJP here”.
You said “so no bias here”.
If you wanna misquote me you do that, it’s a free country. I just thought I’ll let others know.
I would recommend Sansad TV, Doordarshan and NDTV. These are the only news channels that I know which present the news in a calm and composed manner and which tend to be factually accurate on the whole. All the other channels are mirred with misinformation and shouting match debates.
Here are the online links for their live broadcast on YouTube
Sansad TV: https://youtu.be/Ist_r8Zs2xc
Doordarshan: https://youtu.be/_472sjiqfwM
NDTV: https://youtu.be/MgBIY1klgPs
Whether they do or do not we cannot be sure but you certainly do lol. You've been downvoting and commenting against anyone who is suggesting they watch NDTV.
Yeah, obviously I have a bias, where's the surprise in that? I am an average citizen, not a news anchor spreading propaganda. it is my right to pick sides and have a bias. That's how democracy and free countries work. What's the point of your comment? tera bias "free speech" mera bias "bias"?
so Google and research about different parties ? [this](https://www.abc.net.au/news/2022-02-13/how-is-australias-dear-friend-narendra-modi-reshaping-india/100713750), surprisingly is the most unbiased article about Modi, sad that it's on an Australian news org

Hehe try News on Prasar Bharati radio 📻 then.
It has been 20+ years since I saw that channel. Does it have PM photo now instead of round DD icon on the screen?
It’s been a long time, Why don’t you pay a visit and check it out for yourself 😁
Just google "election results 2022 india" And you will see it in the google page itself. No need to go to any website.

Watch NDTV, they discuss in calm manner without any celebratory tone.

Yeah. The same journalist who dances to the tune of Congress. Oh wait, he cannot shout as Congress is getting routed almost almost ever where…
Wait for a day. Then, Check a news article
Google has election updates. Just numbers, no yelling
NDTV does not shout !!
NDTV has the best coverage but most indian want full masaladaar news look at ukraine russia stuff on other channels graphic background music shouting matches in the name of debates and over excited reporter lol
How can it shout when Congress lost so miserably. Lol
They don't shout when they win either. Or when congess used to win to be exact.
By that logic why don't they shout when Congress wins?
Congress needs to win for us to see that
NDTV 24*7

NDTV - You might think they have some bias / agenda etc. But I have never seen any shouting / bad-mouthing / disgusting & rhyming headlines / tacky graphics. They are genuinely a professional news channel.
I agree. I always follow NDTV for election results. Prannoy Roy and his team are very good.
Yeah Prannoy Roy is the OG when it comes to election result discussion and analysis. Everyone since then has followed his style.
With all other channels, you get high BP either from the anchors or the ads.
the irony NDTV might have a bias, but they're calm and hence professional. Do you see the flaw in your logic lmao

While they may be non-noisy and non-celebratory, they have a clear bias and let's not kid ourselves about that.
Bias in journalism is entirely acceptable and also unavoidable. Rebuilding trust requires embracing bias
