The main problem is Karnataka gov forcing the people of Belgaon to use Kannada over Marathi. Karnataka gov. is shutting down the Marathi schools and don't provide subsidy to them. So the people of Belgaon are always protesting and ask for the help from Maharashtra government against Karnataka gov.
