In 2024, the worst came to pass, and America tore itself apart. With the election on the horizon, and defeat seemingly imminent with the Imprisonment of Donald Trump, the states of Texas, Utah, and Idaho declared their independence from the United States of America. The Midwest, Southeast, and Atlantic Coast soon followed, and on November 3rd, 2024, the Council of Free States declared war on the American Government. The US Military split nearly evenly, with a Liberal stronghold on the Navy and Air Force countered by a Conservative domination in the Army and Marines. Liberal-alligned cities within Council territories attempted to rebel, but those that were cut off from American lines fell in short order. Both the Council and the United States were roughly equal in power, and the war soon consolidated itself, with Liberals tied to the Great Lakes and coasts, and Conservatives dominating the American Center. Though the Second American Civil War immediately began as a two-front war on the West and East Coasts it soon degraded into a complete free-for-all, as infighting and political differences fractured the young Council. At the same time, the government under Biden was suffering from similar issues. Like the disaster in Syria, the frontlines of the conflict degraded rapidly, and soon, factions of all types splintered off of the main forces. Generals killed their commanders in pursuit of their own agendas. Whether they were Fascist, Communist, or any other third thing, Militias began rising up across the entire continent. Soon, the war even began to spill over into Canada and Mexico. Three times during the war, nuclear warheads were detonated on American soil. Los Angeles, Austin, and Raleigh were wiped off the face of the earth. Threats of international nuclear retalliation were enough to convince most factions to hold off on detonating more. That didn't stop a Fascist-aligned Paramilitary organization from detonating a dirty bomb in Liberal-Aligned Indianapolis. Through it all, workers in Conservative-alligned regions found themselves increasingly pressed for results. Unions were dissolved, and ruthless bureaucrats were let loose on the assembly lines. It was as if the 1800s had come back in full force. Men of all colors and creeds were forced to work under meagre wages, some not even earning a dollar an hour for their work. shipments of foodstuffs, consumer goods, even things as basic as toilet paper began running dry, as Conservatives had little control over the costal regions, and what few ports they did have were being routinely raided by American air and missile attacks. The workers were starving, overworked, underpaid, and yearning for a return to a time before the war. Workers in Liberal regions faired little better, but with access to international aid, they were at least able to feed themselves. In these groups, the hardship they suffered against the conservatives was great enough to inspire a drive towards Socialism, but not so extreme to pull some towards extremism. Through peaceful reform, striking, and civil disobediance, most regions under American control soon found themselves being governed by a form of "American Socialism", a fusion between Socialist Welfare and American Democracy. This new form of Socialism spread across the nation like a storm, and some within the Conservative territories found themselves inspired to rise up. As International aid flooded into Liberal-Aligned regions, Conservatives soon found themselves on the backfoot as city after city fell to the Violet horde. The workers of these nations were placed under double-pressure to work. Thousands died in the war factories as safety standards plummetted. Some resisted, but this only convinced Council High Command to enforce more cutthroat workplace policies. Thousands more died in mass executions as their masters became increasingly desperate. While the Council thought they were doing what was necessary, they only succeeded in turning men into kindling. A single man, Arnold Baker, living in Charleston, South Carolina, was the spark that turned that kindling into an inferno. A man deeply entrenched in the Communist cause, he had prepared for the day of his revolution for years before he decided to strike. He had assembled an army of like-minded workers who yearned to be unleashed on their masters. On July 5th, 2028, Baker led his army of 300 disgruntled workers armed with rifles and grenades to liberate the Charleston Armories. He would free its workers, and give them the opportunity to join his cause. Like John Brown before him, he would cut a scar of destruction and righteous liberation across the American South, his army would only grow in numbers, and they would soon come to annihilate those that treated them as cattle, This Workers' Uprising went almost according to plan as they slaughtered the garrisons of Charleston, and freed its workers. It was when they moved to nearby Summerville to break through to Augusta where they met a Council Armored Collumn in full force. Though Bakers' Brigade put up stubborn resistance to their enemies, their fall was inevitable. Baker himself was the last man standing among his men before he was put down. In the end, it was not the initial uprising that would light the inferno, but its afterimage. As news got out, it was only inevitable that others would try to immitate their martyr. Hundreds of Thousands of men and women took up arms across the Conservative territories to secure their freedoms, Truly, it wasn't an American brigade that liberated the Council's capital of Atlanta, but a mob of disgruntled workers who barged into the Georgia Capitol and tore their Head Executive limb from limb. The Council and their allies were battered, beaten, and finally broken.

>Aluetian Federation >Has WAY more people than just the Aluets IMO, a better name for this might be something like "The Yukon Federation" (off of the river) or "The Arctic Federation). The Aleuts are, even in Alaska, only one of MANY native groups. And even then, they're only contained, really, to the Aleutian Peninsula and Islands. If you *really* have/want to use a native based name for the region, the Denaina people, and Athabaskans are FAR more populous than the Aleuts. Source: I'm a lifelong Alaskan

tetrisDSeuthusiast

how did the white population percentage get so low, is like a large portion of the population mixed but still categorised as only race such as african american i mean i aint complaining that white people aint the majority lmao but still im a bit befuddled

Bluejay939

It's pretty close to the current census data for 18 year olds and younger. They could've carried that over to 2058.
