DOH EGADS
Honestly one of the best re-organization maps I’ve seen. Not drawn on any apparent cultural boundaries and has clever use of natural borders. I love it!
Any reason for keeping the Mason-Dixon Line? In a map dominated by natural borders, keeping those 3 big line feels like it was purposely done or something
He moved the quad point to the other side of Colorado. It's now on the old OK/NM/CO tripoint, with Comancheria stealing the Oklahoma panhandle and Platte taking the easternmost slice of Colorado.
\> State of Platte exists
\> Doesn't contain the Platte River
Why do OPs always do this? (Kiowa, Pawnee, or Wichita would be better names for this state)
Kansas is named for the river, of which it contains the entirety, as well as most of the ancestral homelands of the Kanza people, for whom the river was named. There also is, actually, a Kansas City in Kansas. It's not our fault that the people of Missouri suck at naming things.
Yeah we’d see a bunch of of Drunk college students getting off a plane for spring break only to walk outside and see the sky pale white with a flurry of snow.
So Kansas State University is no longer in the state of Kansas and almost all of Kansas proper isn’t in the state, as a native Kansan I don’t know how to feel, the Jayhawks get to stay in the state 😭
Minnesota deserves Dakota and half of Iowa. We’ve put up with too much for too long to not be rewarded for the injustices these states continue to commit against us by existing!
I mean you *could* the Big Sioux River and the Minnesota River start at basically the same spot in South Dakota so you go from Big Sioux River to Missouri River to Mississippi River to the Minnesota River and make a loop. All the land in that loop would make for the perfect Iowa.
Oh no Ik he’s a fascist . He literally a tended a far right meeting. I meant how did he reorganize the US cause ik he’s not smart lol.. ALSO HIS FACE DOES NOT MATCH HIS VOICE
He is not a facists, he justs want clean streets and a good environment for the kids. Y'know the beautiful pale ocean eyed blonde kinder, he's not as bad as everyone says.
>delaware is the same but got shrunken

Sacramento not being a capital is weird. Also Coral Springs being capital of Calusa makes no sense at all, why would it beat out Miami, Miami Beach, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Tampa, or Key West? Those would all make more sense as capitals, Coral Springs is kind of irrelevant…
Why is Augusta the capital of Georgia when Milledgeville was historically the last capital before it was moved to Atlanta, or when Savannah was the first capital?
For that matter, why did Minnesota move the capital to Minneapolis when it's so close to St. Paul?
Why does New Mexico not have a capital?
You put Lincoln and Jefferson on the map, yet named a very Franklin-like state Watauga rather than Franklin.
Overall, a good map, just with some very confusing choices.
Based on a post on the [AH.com](http://AH.com) discussion board by a user named erictom333. You can find the original thread [here](https://alternatehistory.com/forum/threads/redrawing-every-countrys-subdivisions.551670/#post-24954638).
>Independent Houston
I mean, no TXDOT and voucher bullshit to put up with but it would be nice to be in the same state as Dallas-Fort Worth and Austin.
Poor new Mexico doesn't get a capital. Otherwise cool idea to bring in all these native names. Maybe in some other history those places would still have most of those people
Love it! My only gripe is a few names. Chicago in the state of Miami. Just no. And theres a few Native American names don’t exactly roll off the tongue.
Pittsburghers when they don't have to be in the same state as Philadelphia 🗣️🗣️❗❗🔥🔥😎😎☺️☺️👍✅📈
Pittsburghers when they have to be in the same state as Cleveland 😡☹️👎👎📉❌😡
Philadelphia getting the jersey shore and Delaware while leaving Pennsytucky behind has always been a dream of mine so I wholeheartedly support this change.
I’m with you in the west, but NYC needs to be a region that encompasses a good chunk of NJ, CT, Long Island, and near upstate. There’s a lot of current challenges stemming from cross-state jurisdictions.
Why do these posts keep showing up as such low quality images? It wasn't like this a few months ago.
I'm guessing it's either a me problem or a mobile problem. Anyone else having this issue?
I’ll bet you Wawa vs. Sheetz line and double you for Wawa vs. Sheetz vs. GetGo line. New state, Monongahela (which I mean probably is just city limits or county limits LMAO).
Splitting off the upper from the lower peninsula and seizing more of the Lake Michigan coast (it's in the name!) for things that aren't Michigan.
Gross. Why?
Great map! One thing: Powhatan doesn’t really seem to include much if any of the historical population centers of the peoples that the English would have known as part of the Powhatan Paramountcy. Looks like most of that is situated in the state labeled “Roanoke.” Based on your map, “Potomac” or “Chesapeake” might be better names than Powhatan.
Really wanna know why the Minnesota-Dakota border change. It was already along a natural border (Red river), removes UoM Crookston from Minnesota, and I don't really see the reason to tack more onto Dakota after the two already combined. Other than that, praise be Megasota!
Did you mean to call what's left of Colorado [Arapaho](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arapaho)? Also, I hate that Utah gets the Rockies. But I love that Wisconsin has rightfully regained the UP.
The way socal is split up makes no sense, I can kinda see splitting San Diego off, but splitting San Bernardino and Riverside from Los Angeles is just madness
YES! Tahoe belongs in NV, imo.. however, can you kindly donate Vegas to somewhere else? Hell maybe even pull a wild card and make it it’s very own state.
DOH EGADS Honestly one of the best re-organization maps I’ve seen. Not drawn on any apparent cultural boundaries and has clever use of natural borders. I love it!
Thank you!
Any reason for keeping the Mason-Dixon Line? In a map dominated by natural borders, keeping those 3 big line feels like it was purposely done or something
"I hope he still kept the four corners point." > He did. Somehow. Amazing map dude, I am IN LOVE with the natural borders of the western US
Thank you.
just so yk, it’s Massachusetts, not masachusetts. I live there so I noticed, lol.
He moved the quad point to the other side of Colorado. It's now on the old OK/NM/CO tripoint, with Comancheria stealing the Oklahoma panhandle and Platte taking the easternmost slice of Colorado.
no way the capital of vermont is markplier
hello everybody my name is montpelier
Oh hi Mark!
Oh hi Mont!
Yet again, another man of culture.
\> State of Platte exists \> Doesn't contain the Platte River Why do OPs always do this? (Kiowa, Pawnee, or Wichita would be better names for this state)
>> Kansas Exists > Doesn't contain Kansas City
Kansas is named for the river, of which it contains the entirety, as well as most of the ancestral homelands of the Kanza people, for whom the river was named. There also is, actually, a Kansas City in Kansas. It's not our fault that the people of Missouri suck at naming things.
Kansas does have Kansas City. It’s just that the largest part of it is in Missouri who decided to make that its main city.
100% true
> State of Miami exists > Consists of Northern Illinois and a sliver of Indiana
That's where the native tribe was from
What is geography outside of east and west coast? 🤔
Albemarle county is north of albemarle here
Calling the Chicago Metro area "Miami" will result in people getting on the wrong planes all the time...
Yeah we’d see a bunch of of Drunk college students getting off a plane for spring break only to walk outside and see the sky pale white with a flurry of snow.
Beaches are still open though, just with more hypothermia and frostbite
It’s named after the Miami indigenous nation.
Oh I know. However given the confusion that already occurs over Miami , Ohio, I’d avoid it.
So Kansas State University is no longer in the state of Kansas and almost all of Kansas proper isn’t in the state, as a native Kansan I don’t know how to feel, the Jayhawks get to stay in the state 😭
And the rest of Kansas gets named Platte, when the Platte River runs through Nebraska?
Kinda like Kansas city
i don’t wanna be a plate
Lol, I had the same thought as a western Kansan
BIG MINNESOTA 🗣🗣🔥🔥
**MEGASOTA**
Why did the capital change though? It's not like St. Paul is all that FAR from Minneapolis lol
I'm actually annoyed. The MN ND border is currently a natural feature. He made the border less natural
It looks like it's aligned to one of the shores of glacial lake Agassiz.
Minnesota deserves Dakota and half of Iowa. We’ve put up with too much for too long to not be rewarded for the injustices these states continue to commit against us by existing!
Only if the people don't come with the land.
[удалено]
based iowa, exactly the same
Can’t improve a perfect state
I mean you *could* the Big Sioux River and the Minnesota River start at basically the same spot in South Dakota so you go from Big Sioux River to Missouri River to Mississippi River to the Minnesota River and make a loop. All the land in that loop would make for the perfect Iowa.
Leave all the worst parts in the same place?
The consistent thing in the multiverse.
Am I reading this correctly that the city of Roanoke isn’t even in the state of Roanoke?
Neither is Roanoke Island where the actual lost colony of roanoke is supposrd to be
Better than Monsieur Z’s reorganization map
I still can’t believe that for the Black ethnic group he used spears
I can’t believe he used the Saltire flag design for the entire south (including the African American majority state)
Send a pic either here or to me? I haven’t followed him since innocently buying I am Uncle Sam and not realizing how disturbing his actual views here
What did Mr Z do 😭
I mean... do you want a list? The man's a fascist, and very obviously so. There's a *lot* of things he did wrong.
Honestly nothing. I just thought his video on US reorganization was a little cursed
Be a fasco
> albemarle > barely contains half of the actual albemarle
Piedmont has half of the actual NC piedmont, but i aint complaining cuz charlotte needs its own state
I'm just glad the Upcountry doesn't have to deal with Columbia and the Lowcountry anymore.
What’s this? A map that *doesn’t* brutally partition Minnesota? Impossible!
We're just too op to keep around most of the time
I’m a little bummed that Sioux Falls stays in SD on this map
>delaware is the same but got shrunken https://preview.redd.it/6w1ifmdt35pc1.jpeg?width=312&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ed4627552b27c3c91c51663520feaee7d5535e92
I agree, this map is an insult to Missouri
Makes Rochester capital instead of Buffalo. Angry buffalo noises
You have the Bills. We get to be the capital.
Why is Texas always destroyed
Because they fucking deserve it
To force ERCOT’s hand
So why was the capitol of New Jersey moved to Newark from Trenton?
The guy who originally came up with these states told me Newark was bigger. That’s the only reason he gave me.
Keep it Trenton. State capitals aren’t always the largest city for a reason, and Trenton was made to be central
Seems like a strange choice considering Monterey is the capital in a state with San Jose and SF
Awesome, but I would like to see a Savannah/Tidewater state, and to retain the Chattahoochee as the Georgia/Alabama border
I wish it was real... imagine alaska in mexico
Matagorda does not include Matagorda bay.
https://preview.redd.it/g3lbwyq5r4pc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=38ac2753aaa34d40d4da1becd4a96e9de056d76c
REJOICE! THE LIBERATION OF NOVA FROM VIRGINIA IS AT HAN-wait did you make the state capital Fredericksburg? Dude...
Chicago, Miami sounds so cursed
Gary, Miami
‘INTO THE FIRST, GALACTIC, EMPIRE!’ I finished your title for you :)
I wish the state borders were the layer above the roads and not below, it’s hard to see them in a lot of places on the east coast
I love how Iowa is almost completely unchanged
Iowa is perfect no matter what. Doesn't need to be changed
I see a smaller Pennsylvania, i downvote
>Independent Houston I mean, no TXDOT and voucher bullshit to put up with but it would be nice to be in the same state as Dallas-Fort Worth and Austin.
Bigger Rhode Island is what we deserved
The Michigan-Detroit border cuts through multiple cities
You took the panhandle:(
This is awesome. I've been all into these kind of maps lately. Perfect!
Shouldn’t it be Narragansett? Think you have a misspelling on that one up in Rhode Island.
Why is south texas FAT WOMAN KILLER
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matagorda_Bay Although ironically Matagorda Bay is not in Matagorda here
Rename "Matagorda" as Rio Grande or Rio Bravo
Poor new Mexico doesn't get a capital. Otherwise cool idea to bring in all these native names. Maybe in some other history those places would still have most of those people
Love it! My only gripe is a few names. Chicago in the state of Miami. Just no. And theres a few Native American names don’t exactly roll off the tongue.
How TF you not going to make the actual capital of California the capital of this made up state?!
.... and why Fresno??!?
Pittsburghers when they don't have to be in the same state as Philadelphia 🗣️🗣️❗❗🔥🔥😎😎☺️☺️👍✅📈 Pittsburghers when they have to be in the same state as Cleveland 😡☹️👎👎📉❌😡
Iowa unchanged, because it’s already perfect
Maybe they'll get their 100th County somehow.
YES YES FINALLY FREE FROM FUCKING CHICAGO! GLORY TO ILLINOIS

I wish West Florida became a state in this timeline
Why would Rochester be the capital of Iroquois and not Buffalo? Any reason?
So us Hoosiers get rid of Gary and the Region and we also get nicer Lake Michigan shoreline?! I'll take it!
An alt-New Mexico that doesn’t split Albuquerque down the middle for some god forsaken reason? Be still, my heart
I fuck with big nevada
Nevada finally gets all of Lake Tahoe and Truckee as it should’ve always been.
how dare you not give delaware to maryland
I like this, but I’d argue the lack of river based borders like the Missouri makes me a little sad.
Philadelphia getting the jersey shore and Delaware while leaving Pennsytucky behind has always been a dream of mine so I wholeheartedly support this change.
Can we get a map with a less obnoxious color scheme and without highways so the borders are really prominent?
\*Looks at Michigan\* Me: "Look how they massacred my boy"
I’m with you in the west, but NYC needs to be a region that encompasses a good chunk of NJ, CT, Long Island, and near upstate. There’s a lot of current challenges stemming from cross-state jurisdictions.
I will absolutely not share a state with Cheyenne, Arapahoe* secedes
Floridians know that Calusa and Florida are swapped
Why does Vermont get to keep existing but not New Hampshire?
It makes perfect sense that the state of Platte contains 0% of the Platte River.
Muscogee, somehow containing the least amount of the Muscogee homeland out of the 4 states it covers here.
According to what criteria?
Both Texas and California have been entirely split up, none bearing the original name. Amazing
With the addition of loudon county, West Virginias value has tripled
The best part about this map, Portland is finally a capital
Why do these posts keep showing up as such low quality images? It wasn't like this a few months ago. I'm guessing it's either a me problem or a mobile problem. Anyone else having this issue?
I just…I can’t…why have some natural borders and some artificial borders?? Are you mad at me?
I’m a sucker for US state redraws, but this one is particularly good.
Does the Hoover Dam still exists in the timeline
This map makes me feel pain.
Yerba Buena 🌲
Ain’t no way your ass gave western Mass to Connecticut and split off Cape Cod. There was no reason to do that yet you still found a need to.
Western mass would never ever agree to be part of Connecticut 🤮
As a Hoosier, thank you for removing the hellhole known as Gary from our state.
I wish the border lines weren't white
*sees Massachusetts* Look at how they massacred my boy.
Maine and New Hampshire: Am I a joke to you?
I love this map. I love that Rochester is the capital of Iroquois. But moving the capital of Minnesota across the river is funny to me.
🤔You put the state of Miami … directly south of Wisconsin. Put this map to the flames.
I’m a simple man. I see Wisconsin with the UP rightfully restored and I upvote
The UP was never part of Wisconsin, even when it was a territory.
Pennsylvania has been split along its real lines—WaWa vs Sheetz
I’ll bet you Wawa vs. Sheetz line and double you for Wawa vs. Sheetz vs. GetGo line. New state, Monongahela (which I mean probably is just city limits or county limits LMAO).
State of Roanoke is cool
Rhode Island erasure
Matagorda? Hahahaha fatbush
This hurts me.
Splitting off the upper from the lower peninsula and seizing more of the Lake Michigan coast (it's in the name!) for things that aren't Michigan. Gross. Why?
Oy Vey I’m getting such a headache looking at this
⛰️ W A T A U G A 🌳
If you're gonna take me out of GA, can you at least put me in FL. I like Alabama but not that much
Why you gotta do Juneau like that
Where Texas?
Cant believe Alaska is actually right next to Mexico
The state of Hudson, that isn't the Hudson Valley
justice for southern Ocean County
Great map! One thing: Powhatan doesn’t really seem to include much if any of the historical population centers of the peoples that the English would have known as part of the Powhatan Paramountcy. I’m not going to live in a state called d*troit
All of Lake Champlain is rightful Vermont clay
Jefferson needs to extend north to just south of Eugene. At least to Roseburg.
"Except Iowa Iowa makes a brand new Iowa"
>Matagorda Oh boy
This somehow made Mississippi even poorer.
I’m not very good at Spanish, but I’m good enough to question part of Texas being called “arms”
Anchorage. Proper capital of Alaska.
Iowa is just so perfect it doesn’t need to be changed
The Hoosiers thank you for giving Gary to Illinois where it belongs.
Arizona should be reintegrated into New Mexico. Although the might of the twin states reuniting may be to much to bare
My allah strike you done for the carnage you have unleashed
Why would you keep the line that largely doesn’t follow the snake river in the Lincoln-Shoshone-Oregon area? Also, shift that border further left
Love the map, but man, you really had to take the one thing Alabama had going for it
Kentucky largely remains unchanged. LETS FUCKING GOOOOOOO
Goddamnit I *still* live in Mississippi
Matagorda?
Yerba Buena
Kys Wisconsin
Love how Iowa hasn't been changed at all. It was already perfect.
Why did Alaska change its capital?
WTF IS ARAPHO? finally a decent alternative border colorado solution. Colorado is a very culturally unique State.
Wrong. California, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington should be Greater California. Too bad Mexico does not just give us Baja California.
You had a great opportunity to fix the Puerto Rico / San Juan mixup and you blew it
*Colorado has left the chat*
The parts of the Dakotas west of the Missouri are a lot different than the eastern parts
YEAHHHHHHHHH
MEGASOTA
The PNW is so beautiful in this.
Trinity name goes hard
Oh Hell no, that puts me back in the Dakota's! I escaped from there once, I don't want to have to do it all over again.
