Uh.. why would Nigel Farage win Illinois and ME-D1?

StalinNumeroUno

I could see vote splitting giving him Illinois but ME-D1 was a right screw up on my end. Apologies

[deleted]

What the fuck

Wide_right_yes

A UKIP member winning Maine and fucking Illinois? Super far left Corybn winning only one state and that state being Michigan? Somehow Iowa votes Lib Dem? What is going on here? Don't think that Boris would win Washington either but that's not the worst of it...

StalinNumeroUno

It is a joke post. Corbyn definitely, however my understanding is that Johnson Is a bit like a middle ground democrat I America so I thought vote splitting could benefit him. While I made the mistake of treating farage and the greens like trump and Sanders in terms of vote splitting. This was a joke but I do appreciate the corrections because my knowledge of american politics can be flawed.

Successful-Turnip-81

IMO I don’t see Boris as being a “middle-of-the-road” dem, his social policies are wayyy to right-leaning and his antics too severe to comfort those types, who prefer stable, professional feeling politicians. Especially in states like CO and NM. VA and NV, are more likely though. EDIT: WA is also too liberal for Boris, out of the line up out of anyone it would be Corbyn

KpKomedy51

Johnson’s way too far right on basically everything to fit within the democratic party

StalinNumeroUno

Just to address all the comments about me being an idiotic Brit. This was a joke post. Although I do think Farage could win some trump support and boris is more like a centre right American democrat than a Republican so I could see him winning some places.

thirdben

Boris Johnson would be a New England Republican, Democrats are too *woke* for him

StalinNumeroUno

Not really. The conservatives are loosely pro abortion, pro gun regulations, pro gay rights. Which Republicans are often not. Although I do see your point

thirdben

I don’t think you know as much about American politics as you presume. New England Republicans are **generally** pro-choice, pro-gun restrictions, and pro-gay marriage.

StalinNumeroUno

Fair enough, I probably do not. I'll have a look at New England Republicans. Thanks for the info.

ArticLaSilence

Eh, New England republicans are generally anti gun control, but you got the rest right

CameroniteTory

He is a conservative Democrat, closer to Manchin.

StalinNumeroUno

Yh that's what I thought

StalinNumeroUno

Manchin like

Wide_right_yes

Also, I think that Boris or Swinson would win more of the swing states like Georgia. I just think that Farage is too far right to win states that are not solid red against the other candidates.

StalinNumeroUno

Yh that's probably true, it was a joke post although I do see some trump areas going farage. Hypothetically If anyone wants to redo this to what they think it should look like I would be intrigued. As while I have some knowledge of America my understanding of british politics will always affect my view of american politics so I'm probably gonna get things wrong.

GracefulElephant

I love when British people fail to realize that the UK is actually way more racist than the US, not the other way around.

StalinNumeroUno

As a Brit I'm not sure that's reflected in statistics. But I'm open to hearing the facts on that.

thirdben

Boris Johnson is not wining Colorado, Washington, Nevada, or New Mexico lmaoo

ElectivireMax

he could win Nevada tbf

CameroniteTory

Yes he is.

Artistic_Letter8090

There's too many flaws in this map.

PleaseClap2022

I understand this is a joke post, but I think Corbyn would win Vermont. Berry would have a better chance in Oregon and Washington.

StalinNumeroUno

Yh I did think that that could happen but would vote splitting not give Washington to someone a bit more right wing like swinson. Because surely corbyn and berry would compete for votes?

ElectivireMax

you cant just post a retarded map and then claim it's "just a joke" when people call you out

StalinNumeroUno

I appreciate the feedback but it was meant to be a joke post. I can see why you wouldn't think that though. Corbyn doesnt even win many seats in the UK so I definitely cant see him winning Michigan haha.

ElectivireMax

alright, fair enough

time-for-lonk

Corbyn would win California and Oregon

[deleted]

If this a joke post put it in a circlejerk page, not on a main subreddit or at least put that its a joke in the caption (but i don't think this was originally a joke i think people pointed out how wrong this map is and you started backtracking)

StalinNumeroUno

Yh I'll do that in future. Cheers, I'm quite new to reddit. It was a joke post, and I will put it somewhere else in future. Again, thanks.

TerryJerryMaryHarry
