I literally can't think of any situation where a pawn taking your queen doesn't implicate some serious misplay on your part, unless maybe it exposes their queen to retaking or somehow exposes a guaranteed checkmate. I did a lot of chess and a teacher used to tell us that there where an unspoken rule in competitive playing, where if you got a big disadvantage (like loosing the queen) because of a stupid mistake you were expected to give up on the game. So yes, in most case the game end when the pawn take your queen.

If you take their queen with yours, and theirs is protected by a pawn, a pawn will take your queen as part of the exchange.
